The song is actually about their almost disbandment in 2018. Most of the members were considering disbanding because they were so burnt out and that's when rapline wrote this song.

It helps that their contract with Big Hit (their label) was running out and the question of renewal came up, too.
They were not happy with the idea to loose each other as you can see.
They did renew. They even have "recently" renewed for a third time.
It is also part of the storyline that illustrates the conecpt of "self love" over 3 albums and why it is so important. They do concept albums.

Jin revealed the disbandment discussion during an award acceptance speech for Artist of the Year and they all broke down crying. Suga spoke about how the song came to be much later. For all intents and purposes it is an emotional (not necessarily romantic) break up song, but knowing what inspired it adds a different dimension and even more depth to the lyrics.

RM really is a beast, he has been rapping since 2007 and was heavily influence by american rappers, from names like Black Star, Eminem and Nas! And he has had the most experience in the american music industry having a collab with Warren G on his second year as Rap Monster of BTS (in 2014). He has features with Fall out boy, Lil Nas X, Walle, Erikah Badu, Anderson .Paak and Little Simz. His collab with Lil Nas X in which only RM is in the official recording, was the first song BTS were able to perform at grammys as a group. RM has sacrificed much of his own dreams and health for BTS bc of how much he loves them. He is the best leader and deserves all the support in the world. Suga played this song for all the members when he wrote it and all of them cried like babies. They were really burnt out, working nonstop since their trainee days between 2010 and 2013 when they debuted. Writing, producing, singing/rapping, dancing, touring, filming … with only one or two breaks of maybe a few days in between. And suddenly they’re making it big around the world, the US, specifically, and it hit them hard. So glad they stuck together!!!😊💜
The problem was more the hate campaigns they (and Army) received. They were exhausting and mentally destructive.
I think I remember them saying that they wanted to forget 2016 (?) entirely because of that for example.
Mind you the label/Bang PD suggested to rest and take time of in 2017 but they felt they could not as they thought that the iron must be formed while it is hot.

I paid $1200 for two front row tickets for the Permission To Dance tour in Las Vegas two years ago. This was for Gold VIP which includes their soundcheck performance and a "goodie bag". It was well worth the $$. The ticket prices are very reasonable if you are lucky enough to get them for original sale. It's the resales that will get you. The closest any of them got to us is about 5-10 feet. They had a lot of security.
If you don’t mind me asking, could you describe your overall experience with those tickets? More specifically, were they actual seats or standing-only area? How easy is restroom access? How long between soundcheck and concert and can you leave the area in the meantime without losing your “spot”? I am a Chapter 2 “Silver” ARMY so I have no idea what to expect when buying tickets except you have to act FAST but want to be prepared in case I’m lucky enough to make the ticket queue. I am short and have some health concerns so I need to determine ahead of time what “tier” of tickets would suit my requirements the best. Thank you in advance.
All of RM's albums are completely different. I like starting with his mixtapes first then his albums. Its a good way to see how he's changed over the years
Kim Jones from Dior designed all 7 members' fits for this set on this tour. ICONIC BLACK DIOR. That working relationship led to Jimin being picked as Dior's global ambassador a few years later. He also reps Tiffany & Co. but as a group and as 7 individuals they have all been tapped by luxury fashion houses and jewelers (and food and phone and car companies) in an official capacity. They had a great working relationship with Virgil Abloh at Off-White and when he made the move to Louis Vuitton they did, too. They wore some of the last lines he designed but custom designs as well, R.I.P. Mr. Abloh.
RM Right person wrong place is a masterpiece. You need to definitely checkout. He is not kpop as solo artist.

BTS rapline are students of HIP HOP, and they have been studying rap from it's origins, in the USA. RM's inspiration is NAS, J-Hope's inspiration is J-Cole, and SUGA's first rap album was EMINEM. They were very young and SUGA and RM were from underground rap. They have collaborated with Western rappers too. Jungkook is also an excellent rapper.

the last rapper in the initial line up was Suga . who presented this song to his other bandmates, and they all cried due to it being a time when they were contemplating breaking up as a group. so its not a love song but can be put into many types of relationships.
RPWP had been named one of the best albums of 2024 so far by the biggest platforms including Billboard and Rolling Stone. It has been ranked the best K-pop album by Billboard. Although RM's "Mono" will always have a special place in my heart, RPWP is at a different level altogether. Its my fav from among all solo BTS works! Do check it out please!

They also loose weight during the concert and as such they loose rings for example.
I think for RM it would be helpful to start at the beginning and watch the growth. He changes a lot over time. He spits the most like this in his first mixed tape RM, then his next is Mono, then Indigo and then finally RPWP. First spitting, second slow rap, Indigo lots of collabs and lots of sounds, RPWP alternative sounds - incredible album. I personally love all of them but all different.
You actually can watch the award accepting speech that Jin made at the MAMA 2018 about BTS almost breaking up as a group. They were burned out, under immense pressure , the renewal of their contract , everything piled up.
Front row seats, at the last LA concert at SOFI stadium, The ARMY pre-sale VIP tickets were going for 500 or so. You would have to buy a second hand ticket which could be anywhere from 1000 to 15,000. Which is insane, and I would never. Tickets for presale go anywhere from 60 to 750. The reason I don't mention regular ticket sales, is because BTS ARMY sell out all seats in Global ARMY Pre-sale, anywhere from 15 minutes to 90 minutes. It's crazy. And they all do Live Play, which is to sell tickets to an Arena close to the stadium. Like at the LA SOFI concert in Nov/Dec 2021, the TH-cam Theater/Arena venue was sold out for Live play. ARMY's that couldn't get regular Stadium tickets went to that one, and viewed it on a screen live. Same as in LV at Allegiant stadium in April 2022. They sold out the MGM grand Arena (where they held the Grammys), and it was their live play venue.

BTS tickets are not as high as you would think! They keep the prices low. Last tour front row with soundcheck was $495 + tax/fees. But getting one? Hunger Games. You have to win a lottery just to get into the sale for a chance to buy one.
Love Yourself: Tear it's part of the Love Yourself trio of albums. Outra Tear was written by the Rap line when they discussed disbandment due to being so over tired, worn out and all the hate they were getting. The Rappers wrote what it would mean to them to disband they played it and the all cried together and admitted they didn't really want to disband but were just so tired. They had a little holiday felt better and of course didn't disband. So yeah it's not about romantic love break up.

When they dropped this song ARMY thought it was about a break up but later on it became known that it was when they were thinking of disbanding. RM talked about the emotional crying type of tear response to the thought, Suga about being torn apart by the thought and J Hope about the fear of what would come next after the break up of the group. Luckily they decided not to disband and got stronger from the discussion.
The album.from.rm will suprise you. Its not what you would expect. I would not even say its hip hop . You need to be into lyrics alot. Its not mainstream. I love a song called nuts and around the world on it

This is a song that i like the most, the melodi, the intro.... the sadness stabs my heart.
That's because the 3 Rappers of BTS are real Rappers who also studied under USA Rappers. RM and Suga were Rappers in the underground Hip Hop scene while J Hope was a street Dancer with the Dance street crew NEURON and when he join BigHit he was surrounded by Rappers and quickly learnt from them all and started joining in.

in 2021, for first level seats I paid $300. in 2022, I paid $500 for silver soundcheck tickets, which is 1 row away from the stage. last year, I paid $5k for suga's tour, including soundcheck. I got barricade.
seats are not easy to get. Their last concerts they got stadiums and had to also get the arena next door for people who didn’t get stadium tickets but wants to watch it live on a big screen. I will be lucky to get nosebleed seats.
I highly recommend you listen to Rm album straight so you can listen to the transition from song to song, it’s fire. When I heard it, I couldn’t tell when the song changed. You can do that on you own time on in the video because I know as a reactor you gotta pause when the song ends to say a few words but make sure you check that😂
It's actually not surprising that you feel that RM is like American rappers because he's been heavily influenced by American rappers. There is also an interesting fact and you'll have to forgive me, I can't remember who said this, but it was someone he had worked with many many years ago that in an interview like a behind the scenes thing, they had acknowledged that with his literacy, his flow, if he were born in the states and came up in the states, he would be mega famous in the US just on his own outside of the group and I think that je ne sais quoi is what gravitates a lot of Americans to him in particular.

10:02 Well, first off you would have to be a fan club member to even have a shot at getting the surprisingly fairly priced tickets considering the demand for them since they always release them to club members first and they always sell out before reaching general sale. ALL of the 50+ thousand tickets are gone in about an hour. Or you can always try privately re-sold tickets - they've been known to go for up to $ 40,000 for the front row. There's a reason we call it The Hunger Games. ☠️😅

It's a break up song but not like the romantic type, Suga was basically like me and the homies are going THROUGH IT and we might retire before we reach 26 let me produce a song, so we can just let our feelings out.
