Hope you guys enjoyed the episode, I'm looking forward to another HOI4 campaign! Sorry this episode was a bit short for an episode 1, but I recorded it after being awake for over 24 hours and was quite exhausted.
@@PraetorianHiJynx I appreciate it, also glad that’s it’s Germany, recently finished watching the man the guns run as a tutorial for myself, I’ve learned a lot from you!
Wait do you have the previous dlc Trial of Allegiance? I know you didn’t make any videos on it since it was just a country pack with no new features but I was just curious.
Speaking of setting aircraft icons: If you use a different icon between regular tactical bombers and medium naval bombers, then it keeps the flight groups separate.
Hi Praetorian, do you get the impression that the A.I is also developing/researching the high tech weapons? That is an interesting set of historical variants, might that option myself.
Adapting the new features of this dlc but I didn't understand why creating a bunker system requires long research, which got stuck. It could be useful especially at the beginning of the conflict.
I think the devs wanted to keep defense from being so easy (and devastation for the AI), as players just built high level forts everywhere and watched the AI exhausts themselves on them. So now if you want high level forts, you need to invest in the research for them.
If you select Hess, instead of Boreman, a certain event that used to always happen to Hess won't happen as long as you get far enough down his tree before that event traditionally fires.
Yeah I mentioned this in the video. It stops the event if you get it quick enough (which in this case, we would have). But the main reason I chose Bormann was because I liked his bonuses better.
@25:14 The Dynamic Version Numbering is not working. All the planes you updated, their name/version letter remained the same after you updated the design as they were before you updated the design, for example, the Bf109 at this time stamp is version "D" before you updated the design, and after you updated the design, is STILL version "D" and a few seconds later, the He111's had no version number before you updated the design, and got NO version designation AFTER you updated the design.
Yeah I noticed that it doesn't always add the letter. But the main purpose behind the mechanic is working, it modifiers the equipment without removing the name and marks it as a new type of equipment, while making the old version obsolete.
Given what happened in past campaigns isn't the chance that you will end up with multiple communist factions rather than a single communist faction rather high?
Well this time I only selected communist routes that said they would join the Comintern. So hopefully it should be less likely that there will be multiple communist factions.
I play with no DLC (outside of the free ones) and even using meta Germany builds I can never defeat France. I can capitulate Belgium Netherlands Poland but I stall out on France border. I have decent supply (3 24w divisions per tile with 3-4 filled out armies with 1 being armored spearhead) in early 1938 yet I can never break through. I haven’t used special forces.
Really? I'm surprised as you've been playing for awhile and I've always found France to be quite easy. Do you have air superiority and bombers? And you said you only have decent supply, how good is decent? If it's impacting your divisions a lot, you should move some off the front. It's better to have less divisions that are fully supplied over more divisions that lack supply, as the lack of supply penalties can be severe.
@@PraetorianHiJynxsupply map mode is at most yellow. I have one pure inf army on Maginot then have another inf army push through Benelux with a 18 armored company for certain pushes. Britain floods the area too quickly
@PraetorianHiJynx the umlauts just make the vowel sound slightly different, but even if you botch it, it's usually close enough to be understood. Ä is like æ and ö is like œ. They just have a slight e sound meshed in
So they removed Dornier for Naval Air? No Heinkel? Generals locked behind focuses? Demand Dutch trade that will never work. The Inner Circle mechanic takes time away from the focus tree, why cant you have both going at the same time? Sorry but this looks horrible. Road to 56 and Black Ice are still WAY better... Hope I wont have to buy this in order to keep playing those..
Several advisers are now unlocked through focuses, like some of the generals. And only the first focus for each member of the inner circle requires you to research it, and it's only 14 days. They'll research all the other focuses in their branch on their own. So if you only get 3 inner members, then that will only take 42 days total, which is less than one normal focus. I don't really see how that's a big deal.

Thank you for pushing through!
@@Jeremie-cc2qq I wanted to make sure we had an episode for launch day :)

Stay well!
Love these letsplays, relaxing. thanks for the uploads!
Glad to hear!
I've missed your HOI4 campaigns! I hope you have fun with the DLC
Yeah I've been enjoying all the changes :)

Ah damn, I forgot I needed to get that. I'll have to ensure I have it before the next campaign.
At last the Twilight of the Gods dlc has arrived
Ah so that's what it means, I should have looked it up :D
Thx for the LP! At least I can watch in on your channel due to the fact that all german LP players are not playing it.
Why aren't the German players playing it?
Nice, a new HoI4 series
Hope you enjoyed :)
@PraetorianHiJynx sure did
HOI4 is back on the menu boys!
:D
Your videos are so good 😊
Glad you enjoyed :)
just remember training your divisions now gives world tension
Does it? I looked at world tension and the only increase to it from us was from remilitarizing the Rhineland.
@@PraetorianHiJynx It Gradually increases
@@ahmedhady6093 But shouldn't it state that in the world tension tracker?
Speaking of setting aircraft icons: If you use a different icon between regular tactical bombers and medium naval bombers, then it keeps the flight groups separate.
Yeah that's another advantage
Great work
Thanks :)
Thank you, wasn't aware this was available
No problem :)
Those termites better look out!
Lol
Hi Praetorian, do you get the impression that the A.I is also developing/researching the high tech weapons? That is an interesting set of historical variants, might that option myself.
They definitely are working on the special projects, in my test campaign I tagged over to AI countries to check on this.
Finally more hoi4 ❤.

I would like them to add vertical dashed lines, or something, to indicate the communist, democratic, fascist, etc. section of the focus tree.
I suppose that would be helpful
hell fucking yeah Ive been waiting 9 months for more hoi
