I never thought I would enjoy making Eyes so much. Years ago when I started learning to draw, they were something I couldn’t stand to do. That I often gave up on, but thanks to your tutorial I am now drawing eyes every day. Slightly obsessed with learning how to draw them now! Now I just need to get eyelashes to look real.. haha. My grays never matched yours and did not laying the darker on top each time. Is it maybe my iPad is just a mini or is it a procreate settings not set correctly?

first of all thank you a lot for the fantastic tutorial. This series is just great.
I'm having issues with the eyelashes, that's by far the hardest part for me. Somehow the tip of yours are nice and pointy like real ones, while my trait is more uniform, I don't know how (procreate just downloaded). Even with the quantity and orientation I'm having issues tho...

It’s important to have a pen with pressure sensitivity and a brush that gets thicker as you press harder. It does take quite some practice though
@@ArtwithFlo yes, I have an apple pencil (just bought). Anyways I've come to a satisfactory result, still not as good as yours tho, but took me 3 or 4 tries and some transform :)

Agree it's more difficult but your instruction is always perfect. A couple things, can you tell me why my pen always changes to eraser on its own? That is so frustrating. Also, my brush sizes don't seem to coincide with yours...why do you think that is? Thanks, Flo xx

So I don’t have procreate, and I don’t plan on getting it for a little while, could I use this different app called Kleki - paint tool?
It’s sorta like the same as procreate, but it doesn’t have Gaussian blur or anything fancy like that. Would that effect my drawing?

Amazing, out of this world drawing. I found your channel a while back and have been watching and following your tutorials. I have been trying to draw for years now, on paper and then later on Procreate. After watching and following this tutorial I have finally decided to call it a day, its just not happening for me. Try as I might I never seem to make any progress. I'm okay so to speak with your really simple, basic drawing tutorials, but I honestly think Procreate itself is doing the hard work here with the brushes etc. Unfortunately that's where it ends, I think that's as far as I can physically go with art. I do genuinely believe artists are born and not created, I believe if you've got the gift (as many do) then you can go far with practice, if you haven't then it's never going to happen no matter how hard you try and practice, as has happened in my case. Procreate deleted and drawing pads, pens and pencils will be given to someone who is talented enough to use them, it's just too much for me obviously, I just haven't got the talent for it, I'm done.
How many hours did you put into it and what exercises did you do if I may ask? I don’t believe that artists are born actually, for some it can just be a bit harder. It takes a lot of time though. I’ve been drawing for more than 30 years and I’m still working on improving my skills every day. You shouldn’t set the goals too high and compare your work to the work of others. Just take baby steps.
Giving up is a sure way to know you’ll never succeed. I hope you’ll reconsider and find the joy of creating again.
I put in many hours trying to draw your eye, and have put countless hours into drawing other eyes too, beside others things obviously, not sure what you mean by exercises. As for comparing yourself to others, how can you not? Your watching tutorials online, looking at reference drawings and looking at other people's successful art to see where you went wrong, I don't get that at all I'm afraid, your brain just naturally does it. I've been trying to draw (half decently) for over 15 years, not just for 5 minutes. How do you explain my younger brother then? He picked up a pencil at a young age and it was clear he was naturally gifted at drawing and I mean seriously good. He never touched a sketching pencil for twenty years after he left school until someone heard he was good at drawing and asked him to draw their two children. You should have seen it, it was amazing. Blows the whole talent vs skill debate out of the window. Some people are gifted and some people are not, that's the way life is. I'm good at patterns and uniformity etc, but like I said Procreate helps you with that. I just cannot draw. Sorry for the long winded comment, and thank you for replying. And just to let you know your art is amazing.
