Darn, this video was the Aha! moment I needed and helped me figure out what was wrong with my wife's car. Lessons learned, mechanics make mistakes and can be costly when a simple $2 part installed wrong (carelessness and not paying attention to detail) is the culprit. Long story short, the washers were installed incorrectly, bottom crush washer was installed on the top and went inside the pressure damper that you are showing here, that mistake effectively blocked the fuel from going to the injectors and that is why the car would not start.
How tight should that screw be on the dampener (the one on top first ten secs) , my TL’s always seemed little loose or not tightened down all the way will that affect anything
That screw does not actually solve leak problem...there is rubber membrane inside 'mushroom'...that is what leaks. If you tighten screw, once pressure is applied the screw will be pushed out flush with top of mushroom. (Yes, you can tighten the crap out of it, but all you are doing is pulling inside spring all the way compressed..thereby making the damper inoperable. It might fix leak temporarily, but beware it is not it's function.

So, the screw just hangs? Loose?
Is tha screw an adjuster? The after market kept it seal, why? Does the screw eventually backs itself out?

Recently purchased a damper without a screw in the middle.....is that ok? Is the damper pre-set or did I get the wrong type?
