I love his parents and their story. But I also believe his parents are very fortunate and they don't have chronic health problems so it is easier to be positive especially when you had severe struggles when you were younger and now things are good. A positive mindset is a wonderful thing and should be encouraged, but it does not overcome alzheimers disease or dementia or cancer. We do need to rethink aging in this country and not just the fears of it or the anti aging industry. If you have never seen the way people are treated in nursing homes and the lack of care that goes on there, you would be angry at what happensthere and would never want to go in one.
Maybe for some. I'm not the same person physically at 70 the way I was at 60! It's a rare older person who can still do what they did when they were younger without pain or some limitations.

No it's not. You are getting older. I am not as fit as I was 20 years ago. ( I'm in my mid fifties.) Can't complain, don't have much healthproblems. But I definitely aged and I can feel it.

Age is not just a number. We have laws pertaining to children using alcohol, tobacco, having access to dangerous drugs, being able to engage in contracts, purchase real estate. I even shot a gas pump with a notation that people under the age of 16 cannot operate that pump.
