My heart went out to this woman who just wanted to be kind and give a treat to policemen. She didn't realize that the world around her had already changed. Sad. She is very articulate and relatable. It is. Not saying what you are arrested for (they might have done but she was in such a state it did not register) but they are allowed to hold you for 24 hours and then they have to either charge you or let you go. They could have just let her go, they did not have to charge her on anything....

I'm not British, but I am a woman who can relate to much of what she described. I was moved to tears when she started crying. My heart went out to this woman who just wanted to be kind and give a treat to policemen. She didn't realize that the world around her had already changed. Sad.
She is very articulate and relatable. I hope that a lawyer will decide to help her pro bono to appeal her sentence.

I don't think so tho, aren't those the few cases that we hear about. In most cases they'll just be arrested, we won't even hear about it. After release they just go home rethinking all their life choices and no1 cares.
FN disgusting. My mother and father both British by birth, my father served in WW1 and was an aero engineer keeping the aircraft in the air during WW2. They and I find it unbelievable that civil authorities would and repeatedly act this way. We need to know WHO made the decision to arrest this poor woman, and it’s that person who should be discharged and stand in the dock.
This story needs to be shared on every platform, absolute disgrace this is happening to our country !
