    LYRICS - LIKE THIS COMMENT
    [Verse 1]
Lonely stranger - Who are you?
    Interchanger, passing through
    Loveless victim holding on
    Insides twisted all along
    [Chorus]
    Can’t see my reflection
    Nothing left to recognize
    Here I stand, no connection
A foreign place with no allies
    [Verse 2]
    Lucid visions cloud my mind
    Violent collision, intertwined
    Imagination, control the time
In this moment you’ll be mine
    [Chorus]
    Can’t see my reflection
    Nothing left to recognize
    Here I stand, no connection
A foreign place with no allies
    Here I stand, interchanger
    Passing through, passing through
    [Outro]
    Interchanger, passing through
    Passing through, passing through
    Interchanger, passing through
    Passing through, passing through
    Here I stand, interchanger
    (Passing through, passing through)

    Truly a masterpiece
Makes me think of my favourite warhammer 40k character, the primarch Alpharius. Despite him being a god among humans, makes you think of the struggles both he and he’s brothers faced during the heresy, a conflict within themselves as they fought each other and what they were brought to believe in a harsh universe.

This was a fucking beautiful emotionally raw banger.....it kinda captures the lonely feeling of being a political maverick amidst a biased indifferent world. I kinda have something deep to say man, you dont have to agree with me or what i have to say, it's just with recent events i kind of want to feel why this song is so special to me. (I'm not really an avid activist, i more go to political hearings an campus and try and provide people with a different view of things if you're wondering).
I live in south africa man, a land that's been beset by division and vitriol from both sides of the spectrum for decades. i myself don't identify with either side, if anything, they're both equally terrible down here. Any who, the most disturbing development recently is that the current government wants to change the bill of rights itself to expropriate the land owned by white farm owners due to the land being stolen by their ancestors from the black majority, and they want to do this to these farmers without them being paid, thereby displacing them from their homes and dooming them to a life of poverty in white ghettos.
i realize that apartheid and the colonial eras were a terrible, unjust time for south africa, and i understand in some way those ripples are still felt today (even if its more the current government's fault for not solving this issues by now but i digress). But this isn't right, they're punishing an entire generation of people, bringing them down with them in a sinking ship, because of a history they themselves have no control over. And its not just mere displacement, these farmers have been targeted for death by opportunistic criminals for their land for years, but nobody has said or done anything about it, while political parties are now openly threatening to join them if all the land isn't given freely and completely. Innocent families are being slaughtered and raped, and the public celebrates it like it's some grand justice for past sins.
Whites are being forced to leave in droves, abandoning the only home they've know for decades. There are those foolish and embittered on the opposite end of the spectrum enough to want to start a civil war for the heart of south africa, which i believe could in fact lead to loss of innocents on both sides.
The reason why this song resonates with me is that, i want to tell people from both sides that this senseless bloodshed will only end in ruin for our country. But i constantly feel that my sentiments will fall only on deaf ears, that people have become too impatient and twisted by years of distrust and resentment to listen to reason and stop this madness. And i constantly fear then if this country destroys itself, the world would carry on as if nothing happened, repeating our same mistakes of being this entrenched in the murky waters of identity politics and dooming themselves to a similar fate.
But your song reminds me, i might not be able to convince everyone that what is happening here is profoundly wrong, but it doesn't mean i have to give up. The more people I'll try and reach out to, the more i learn to present my thoughts in a calm, respectful and not a holier than thou vitriolic manner, the greater the chance more people could gain a fractional shift in their perception of things. And sometimes, that small shift is enough to ignite a change for the better, it might be a gradual slow burning change, but a change nonetheless.
So i just wanted to say, thanks for inspiring me not to give up....
PS. I'm Indian if you're also wondering, it really shouldn't matter but, i guess i kind of want to illustrate the way i feel about this issue isn't tied to my race as so many others in this country would want to point out. I'm no activist like i said, just a guy with a strong sense of right and wrong. Oh yeah, and sorry about the long post....

If you make yourself more than just an man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if you cant be stopped, you become something more...

    • @admech590
      @admech590 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks man, look bro, I'm not some new spark of a revolution, think i'd be giving myself too much credit for that...i guess i just want to start introducing people around my campus to a new view of things so that everyone would stop being so spiteful and derisive to one another you know? and maybe, someone who listens might take it from there and start spreading that message around, and then sooner or later, someone else would see what me and many are trying to say and they might lay the foundation for a change in society for the better. I'm not an activist, i don't know if i have time for something like that with the degree in environmental sciences i'm working towards, but that doesn't mean i'm just gonna sit on my ass and say nothing when i know that there are still those out there that might be willing to listen to reason.

Spatterjay hoop Dude this is so spot on in regards to South Africa.
The injustice and racism against whites is atrocious and nonsensical. I get it, white colonialism had some horrors, but any sensible human should know you don’t hold an entire ethnic group accountable for something a few of their ancestors did. Come the fuck on.
As if Africans were innocent before ‘they’ arrived. Africa has a rich history of strong kingdoms, but just like everyone else, there was a lot of slavery, extortion, warfare and genocides involved between nations and tribes.
ANYONE WHO READS HUMAN FUCKINnnn HISTORY understands that every ethnic group on this Earth PERIOD has had their fair share of senseless warfare, conquests and/or slavery.
So as a black women, I completely agree 👏 👏 (not that it should matter, but unfortunately racial politics exists) and hope the best for you. Things are getting too far gone over there, there needs to be a voice of reason amongst the ANC before civil war erupts.

@@TheRockyCrowe I brought something similar up with an economic freedom fighter on my campus, he basically said: "if it wasn't for Mandela, you whites and Indians would be dead because we hate you for apartheid, you oppressors...." Honestly, I just think these people are confused and susceptible to manipulation, so no I don't think I can truly despise them anymore despite everything they say about me, my race or white people...
