This is a beautiful stitch. Thank you so much for the easy to follow tutorial. Would this be a nice stitch for a scarf, or would it not be warm enough for a scarf because if the more open pattern? I'm still fairly new to crochet, and I don't know a lot about how different stitches can be better for some projects and not others. I want to make a scarf as a gift for someone, but I want it to be warm enough, too. Thank you so much! Also, Happy New Year! 😃
I'm really happy you like it, thanks a lot! 🙏 ❤️ 🥰This pattern can indeed make a beautiful scarf! While it does create a somewhat textured look, it's still plenty warm, especially if you use a good quality, warm yarn. The warmth of a scarf isn't just about the stitch but also about the yarn (think wool, alpaca, or acrylic blends) and how thick it is. Happy crocheting and Happy New Year to you too! 🍾 🎉 😊 👋

Unbelievable very nice, very easy, how original!!!! I wish you and your lovely family , a healthy , peaceful , creative and very happy new year 2025❤❤❤🎉
@massivecrochet So you didn't like my comment? Because I was wondering why is it called half double crochet if it's not crocheted like the regular one?
@@taggih.5632 the on screen stitch used is shown as a Hhdc which is a Herringbone half double crochet, not a simple hdc. Lots of tutorials online explaining this stitch and how to do it. Hope that helps and clarifies.
@@LindaWYorksUK ...Thank you for explaining the hhdc. I was wondering what the second H stood for. I was thinking "half half double crochet", but that didn't make much sense to me. Herringbone half double crochet does make sense, because I can see the herringbone design. It's a very pretty stitch! I want to try it soon. 😃

@LindaWYorksUK Okay, thanks for the explanation but I was talking about the word hdc on the screen while the tutorial is shown!
