I really admire how real she was with everyone and had the personality in which anyone can talk with her like they’ve been friends for years. No one was intimidated around her cause she made everyone feel comfortable

Being African American all I grew up on was R&B and hip hop. Cherie tried to convince me that this girl Selena is different and you would Love her! I said no again and then she told me your loss! A few weeks later I saw Selena on the news about her being shot and in critical condition, and they were playing videos from that concert, and I was like damn I should have went!!!!!! 😫To this day Cherie teases me about that day for being a stupid ass. Ever since the moment I saw Selena on tv the day she passed I made a promise to her I'll always be her fan, I bought all of her "tapes" at the time and had lots of memorabilia of her. I personally believe her death is the most tragic celebrity death of all time. That may sound crazy to some if you look at the celebrities who have passed away but what’s different about Selena is we only got her for a couple years that’s literally it. It’s not like most other celebrities that were famous for 20-40 years then passed away. We only got to enjoy Selena for about 3 years. Watching clips of her is hard because you just can’t help but feel so sad. I personally believe her death is the most tragic celebrity death of all time. That may sound crazy to some if you look at the celebrities who have passed away but what’s different about Selena is we only got her for a couple years that’s literally it. It’s not like most other celebrities that were famous for 20-40 years then passed away. We only got to enjoy Selena for about 3 years. Watching clips of her is hard because you just can’t help but feel so sad. She was such a kind hearted person she never saw the red flags with Yolanda and I believe to this day she would still be here if someone had went with her to meet with Yolanda or at least had a chance to be saved sooner. I truly hope Selena is resting in the utmost peace to this day
