@Phanto thats not the point. If I were to go with your words of evolving with the world, i eould really say that Instead of EVOLVING, this series is DE-VOLVING. It did had the GODLIKE Brenner Era. But Mattel does not care. All they see is a selling point. They literally dont care. We see something in this franchise taht Mattel does not: VALUE. They DO NOT Care. They don't give a shit about what Wilbert Awdry created. They dumbed it down so fucking much its ANNOYING. From a great show it went down to a BRAINDEAD show for BRAINDEAD children. IT REALLY KILLS THE FANDOM. Thats all i wanted to say. Good Bye.
Seeing Thomas models is like you’re watching a model train layout on your tv. You can never shake this feeling of childhood nostalgia.
That's basically what they were and I think that's what makes it even better

Man, I wish Britt runs the show now. Imagine how much better the show would be, young kids like me and others would like to see the models back in 2021.

Even if Britt still ran the show today, it think the show would still eventually become cgi(but not 2D animated) considering how expensive the models were.

Ah Thomas the tank engine, one of the most popular franchises in the Children's Television show, and how it brings back good memories of me as a kid.
These old models just bring me back to old and new models

Model era: realistic:
CGI: frames are rubbery
AEG: smoke box moves like a neck. Wheels are used like arms and legs. Frames used as hips.

It wouldn't be very eye-catching to kids though. Kids nowadays like the cgi as that is what they have grown up with. Most adults today like the models because it is what they grew up with.
I know magic railroad isn’t great but at least the models were dame good
For those who don't know scale gauge 1 is, it is a 1:32 scale or roughly 10mm:1foot, and gauge 3 is 64mm (2 1/2 inches)
All of Thomas’s models look really good
The models were the best thing about Thomas and friends
It showed so much realism that looked like it was real
Now it’s just a 2D animated reboot that nobody likes
I'm so glad i grew up with the classic TTTE and that's even strange because the period when I used to watch Thomas was very far from its boom, indeed I used to watch Thomas between 2009 and 2013, the time when CGI Thomas was born so it was more likely to watch that one but luckly I found this TV channel, I think called JimJam, where old TTTE's episodes were transmitted. Thomas is my childhood, I still remember coming home from school and go play with my trains and watch Thomas. That was the thing many, many years ago. Those are what I call gold times.

fun fact for the 2021 reboot and how it won't actually entertain it's target audience I did a little experiment.
I pulled up a picture of the CGI Thomas and then the 2021 reboot Thomas on my phone and showed it to my younger sister who is in Mattel's Target Audience and I asked her "which is Thomas?" and she said that the CGI and Model variants of Thomas were Thomas, however when I showed her the 2021 reboot Thomas she said "that is NOT Thomas" thus showing PROOF that the so called target audience of the new rebooted Thomas the tank engine for 2021 will NOT entertain the audience aimed for!
it is time Now or never to stop Mattel from making such a HUGE mistake.

Well, the other models are either at Hara, which is a Japanese museum in Japan, in storage at hit, or with ThomasTankMerch, two Thomas prop collectors on Twitter.

You forgot to mention that there was a large scale model of Thomas being made for the Season 2 episode, 'Thomas Comes to Breakfast', during the inside scenes of the Stationmaster's house that he crashed into.
I wish they would just end the show at this point. We only care about the model series and not the stupid cgi series. I only consider the model series canon like it should be. In my opinion, the show ended a long time ago...
To me the ttte canon is the railway series to season 21 cause after season 21 thats when they turned to show to the darkside

If i were the one making the reboot i would first kill off nia and rebecca by making them crash into vans of explosives then i would bring edward and henry back to tidmouth then get all of the railway series and model series characters to the show

If I was Billionaire and owned the rights Then I would fire and nuke all the writers, producers, and directors for BWA and replace them with Trainz Thomas writers. After that Am bring the models back and signing a multi-long deal with Coolprops to make the models and sets. Have all the episodes released on TH-cam.Then am going to take all the models from Drayton Manor and they will never return their. Am going to buy a railway and have people build a real life railway series RWS models with minor small changes and a wire model series face that moves and talk. After that I am going to make the railway a vacation site for all to go for vacations with nice beaches, nice forest, mountain tops, Museums, Restaurants, Statues. just like the Island of Sodor. I will open a museum and have the original models from Drayton Manor repaired on display for all to see and take pictures No Touching tho. Have all the history of Thomas and Friends and the RWS history set up on display as well as a model layout of the island of sodor with all the engines run activity and accurate as there tv show models.

Well at this point, the troublesome trucks. That or for a challenge, the old coaches. Best seen in S1. Maybe combine them with the teak coaches and/or the red coaches for a long enough video if there's not a lot on them.

Strangely, I heard the the OG model (the one used before the switch to brass model, but after the pilot model) was in storage over at Mattel for use at events where it would be displayed. Anyone can confirm it cause i can't seem to find out more about it

What happen to the perspex model of thomas ?
It might be too late for the original Thomas, Christopher's wooden toy, but I really hope the perspec(probably spelled that wrong)/plastic model will be found by any of the fan base's prop collectors.
So, what happened to the original Thomas used before TATMR? Did it just get thrown away? Does somebody own it? I never hear about the plastic model often, always the brass ones.
