Missed it live but Mike is right that the scream at 6:35 was a genuine scream and despite all the many hallowstreams I've watched I don't actually remember many/any like it, fingers crossed for the rest of this stream 😂
in Forewarned, which is a Phasmophobia clone themed entirely about Egyptian tombs and stuff, one of the ghosts you come across does actually take the form of an avatar in the game, and walks around, and talks to you through the voice chat and stuff. If you let it get too close it'll kill you after a bit of harmless unnerving whistling.
I haven't been able to watch these live streams during the week, but I just caught up and this one was really good. 1:12:46 - As someone reclining in an Aeron, those appear to be the "Eames Aluminum Group Chair", but also manufactured by Herman Miller.
Me, arriving three weeks late to these comments: those are indeed an Eames design; there are a near-infinite number of versions being manufactured these days (although the mid-back is more in demand than the high back version we see here) but I don't know if they were out of copyright in the early nineties. Judging by the quantity involved they're either vinyl knock-offs or whoever owns this haunted office has a LOT of money to throw around but also doesn't care about the spines of their workers. (It's not ergonomic because you can't adjust the back and the seat separately, so it's more of a board room chair than a task chair. Looks nice but isn't really comfortable to sit in for eight hours at a stretch.) ... I have been selling office furniture much too long.
@@iris4547 is peanut butter 'butter'? you have milk and butter, and cream. From dairy. Then you have 'milks' 'butters' and 'creams/cremes' that come from various other sources. two very similar but also very different things. well, more than two but you get it. Turns out things can share a name and not need to be identical. Who knew? and if almond water is more accurate than almond milk, you dont get the water from the almond, you just mix them. So wouldnt it be even more accurate to call it water mixed with almond? Sounds bad. watching on VOD, I am loving how many people in the chat were so adamant about the keycard beeping and how they were so dumb for not hearing, then they find the keycard and there is literally no beeping coming from it....
Missed it live but I'm here now! Hope everyone has a good week. EDIT: A small touch, the torches / flashlight effect is pretty close to how they looked in real life.
Same! I was finishing work when I realised I had totally missed the whole thing. But the vod squad rocks too 😊🙌 Edit: I set myself an alarm for today's stream lol
Swimming pools are creepy af for me. I hate them. I can go in one if it's daylight/well lit and there are people both in and around the pool. If it's night/dark, then no amount of people will get me in that water or even with 10 feet of the pool. If it's light out but no one is around, then I'm also not going near the pool. Ponds and lakes are almost as bad. The ocean is just about the only body of water I don't have a problem with. Part of the pool fear has to do with the drain at the bottom of it (does not apply to above ground pools, obviously) and also the filters along the sides (I hate the sound the flaps make as the water moves). And no, I don't know how I developed this particular phobia/hatred, but there it is. The pool level in this one didn't actually freak me out that badly. I think because the water wasn't deep and wasn't rising as you explored, and there were any drains either. In movies/shows with sinking ships that have water rising I really freak out (Poseidon Adventure (original one, of course) and Titanic are really bad for causing it. The LIDAR section mad me have to watch in short sections at a time because of how nauseous it was making me.
the level where you are running around red hallways is level run for your life, the real version has thousands of various creatures chase you for miles. but they changed it so it is now a dead level with no entities in it. also the skinned creature is called a skin stealer
Heh, some frivolous jump-scares were just what I need to distract me from the seriously dark horror novel I'm reading (this year's Stoker Award winner), without giving up on seasonal spookiness entirely! 🎃🎃🎃
This was a really fun spooky stream game is sort of Phasmophobia meets Slender hope there's more of it in the future. How many players can play this at once? 📼

@outsidexbox I am month late watching, and don't know if it's been said, but I believe the American equivalent to a leisure center would be a recreational center. It has a pool, rock climbing, gym area, and (physical) activity classes. Maybe not an exact match, but close.
Is, ‘watch out for monsters’ a colloquial British saying after sneezing, possibly referring to fairies, monsters and stuff? Or was she referring to the game? Ps: I was being tongue in cheek. Lol
Always watching Mike's stream....wish we wouldn't have to. I like this channel but really don't enjoy watching Mike play games. Sorry everyone. No hate meant. I just would love to watch one of the other members of the channel over him. Maybe have options on these videos/streams. Especially VODs
Aside from the upcoming Phasmophobia stream (which will have the option of watching Ellen's POV!), this and X-files were the only streams from Mike's POV we've had this Hallowstream. The rest were either Andy, Jane or Ellen, so I wouldn't say you've lacked options this time around. I could be misremembering, so I apologise in advance if I'm wrong, but I think they've said in the past that the reason we've mainly gotten Mike's perspective on previous streams had to do with hardware limitations. They're mainly console players, so imo it's understandable they don't all have stellar PC setups for streaming when that isn't the main focus of the channel. Personally I like watching Mike's gameplay, but each to their own, and I hope there's at least something in it for you to enjoy even if you overall prefer someone else's style! (Edit: forgot 2 include the oxtra streams)
I've gone from terminal to critical so that's an improvement. Gotta love the way Mike sees life 😂😂
"Wrap those bandages around my broken sanity" should 100% be a shirt
Or they get into pharmaceuticals!
@24:30 "Starbucks officially has no effect on my sanity."
I kinda want that quote on my T-shirt.

She even clipped her audio like when Ellen laughs. Bloodcurdling.
That's what I was thinking!
Ok not more screaming in the rest of the vid, but we did get ASMR to counter the volume clipping and that ending was SO tense!
Stream starts at 0:52, after the Danger Snow!
Thanks AngelBeat ;) also, if anyone is wondering, no bespoke opening by Ellen this time as it was a live stream :D
I remembered to "thumbs up" before just clicking on the timestamp lol
I can't skip Danger Snow - it's the best Halloween vibes theme 😁
Thanks my dude
This game suffers from Amnesia syndrome; it's hard to be scared when you're frustrated.
"I'm too insane to make a decision..."
Same.
Jane can do some really cinematic horror movie screams 😂
Missed the live, but pleased to say I'll be wearing my "The Music is Going All Musicky" shirt to teach music theory this week!
As a fellow music theory sufferer, I approve of your shirt.
I know I can listen to Danger Snow whenever I want, but I really look forward to it during Hallowstream
"There are three kinds of spaces: subliminal, liminal, and superliminal"
"Superliminal?"
"Here, I'll demonstrate: HEY YOU, GO TO THE BACKROOMS!"
Idk about you, but I have never gone more insane than when I spent years inside a beige office full of cubicles eating floor granola
"Should we split up?"
"NOOOOO!"
*Splits up moments later*

Lethal Company apparently has some kind of mimic, too - it records voice clips from the team chat to add to the illusion.

1:12:59 Proof that Jane has never worked in a call centre.
1:14:03 And I see Mike also is lacking in office experience.
I would absolutely LOVE to have all my mandatory office training narrated by the guy from the Stanley Parable!! Yes please!! 😂😂🙌🙌
1:36:56 well that was unexpected.

The unexpectedness makes it even better
Mike, much love from the Americans, too 😊

This was great fun! Would love to see you play the new levels next Hallowstream

I love how it's THAT playmat at the end that everyone had as a kid XD
This is probably my favorite Halloween stream so far!
nice to see that completed this game, looked rather stressful, that level with the dots was a cool idea
This was a lot of fun to watch. Also the scariest 2024 Hallowstream for me thus far.
I agree with Jane, this game should add a sticker or spray paint.
Big x, and arrows pointing the diff ways should do it.
Amazing can't believe you got it right at the end, such presh drama lovely

What's the deal with horror games and generators?
Almond water is water flavoured with almonds and water, it was a real life product. it is not almond milk.
Shades of Scanner Sombre for the LIDAR section (creepy as hell and entirely in LIDAR-vision).
