Six Flags America in MD is super underrated. I know it gets a lot of hate but I went in august on a Saturday and got to ride everything with walk ons. And the park was extremely clean and not many rides but I thought they were all great. I love Wild One, and I don’t see why roar gets hate too. It was pretty good. Had an amazing day ragin cajun was only ride I wasn’t able to get on. Closed down when I got in line.

Busch gardens Tampa is definitely underrated in my opinion. Yes, I know most people have it in their top 5 or 8. But it should be consistently top 3. Not only are the rides top tier, but the animals and safari is truly a sight to see. The food is not half bad either. And for a park that is open year round, it should be ranked top 3 in my opinion
I’ll say Valleyfair. I know it’s a meme that cedar Fair doesn’t give it anything, but you have: one of the best GCI’s in North America, A unique extreme mine train, a hyper coaster, an impulse with the hold brake, an arrow looper that’s actually butter-smooth, and a really good flat collection. Plus, the park itself looks really nice. Not a bad home-park to have
I agree with sea world San Antonio being number 1. Although I didn’t get to ride anything because I went there the weekend of the winter storm. I still thought that the atmosphere was good and it was a well taken care of and overall pretty park.
I agree with you. I don't care about just the roller coasters that parks have. I like to experience everything they have including the waterparks if they have them. I even wish more parks would add at least one dark ride to their collection.
Lake Compounce needs a coaster over the lake and fill the empty space between Boulder Dash and the Rapids. also ...Phobia is the best SR2...no OTSRs like the Sea World versions.
That would actually be amazing, I could imagine something like Wave Breaker working well over the lake! I’d actually beg to differ for the skyrocket ll’s. For one, I don’t think the Skyrocket ll’s with lap bars all that better than those with Comfort Collars. On the other hand, Zombie Ride in Mexico has lap bars AND sends you around the course two times AND has a transfer track to increase capacity 💪🏻
My number one is Tivoli Gardens. It is so charming and well-themes with amazing thrill rides, great family rides, and something for everybody. The park was actually Disney’s inspiration. Easily the best theme park I’ve been to outside of Cedar Point. It gets credit, but not enough.
@@chargedonpc9989 I was doing a sightseeing trip around Europe and Copenhagen was one of our destinations. Tivoli is one of the best things to do in Copenhagen, so we spent a day there.
In my opinion my home park (six flags discovery kingdom) is pretty underrated, nost people just go for Mudusa and The Joker but most of the park is surrounded by a lake or river, the lineup of rollercoasters are good and there are a lot of trees in the park, also the parking lot give AMAZING pictures of the park and lake.
I knew that SWSA would be high on this list. Last time I was in Southern CA, I spent two days at Disneyland/ California Adventure (unlike the Florida parks you can easily walk between the two). It was really great admittedly, but next time I'll probably take an extra day or two at Magic Mountain for free (ok included in my membership) instead of spending another $150+
One of the most underrated and charming parks I’ve ever been to is Fantasiana near Salzburg in Austria. It’s a very small park but it’s only coaster packs quite a punch and has stronger ejector air than a lot of big airtime machines. And the looks and theming of this park are so good and unique!
Anyone go to amusement parks, and get really bad anxiety from large rides? Then they feel this nagging almost “guilt” and sadness from not riding them, even though your really scared? Idk I feel like I’m missing out. Also amusement parks at night hit different-
For real San Diego's Sea World is very underrated. It has nice coasters, they just aren't as huge as Florida's Sea World coasters, but all they look very good and enjoyable
Okay but of all the California parks Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is the most underrated to me. Most folks in the Bay Area don’t even know it exists and only know about California’s Great America. I think DK only falls behind Magic Mountain and Knotts when it comes to coaster line ups in CA.
The Studio Tour alone makes USH worth a visit, it just happens to have Hogsmeade, some great dark rides, and awesome shows to go with it. Super underrated park and I’m happy to see it on here.
i agree with the number 1 pick, i went to the park because tbh i said why the hell not im in san antonio lol, I left the park wondering how i could have ever thought it was not worth it, steel eel is elite, texas stingray is in my opinion an elite gci although others may disagree, and wave breaker is a great family coaster, great white was down on my visit because of lack of staff, we got hope when they tested it but it never opened, but ive heard its a solid batman clone. Overall the only bad part of my day was journey to atlantis being insanely boring lmao.

Hard agree on Canada’s Wonderland. If Flight Deck, Time Warp, and Bat weren’t there, it’d be considered an elite park. Maybe the only park you can subtract rides from for it to gain status.
Oh trust me, I KNOW how underrated Sea World San Antonio is... It was my home park during my childhood and I frequented it so much! I wanna get back there. Steel Eel was my childhood coaster!
Dorney is my favorite park. Have gone there for years since I was a kid. My first roller coaster ever was Steel Force. So many memories with my dad and friends. Kinda hoping for a new coaster in the future.
The top 5 underrated parks I’ve been to: 1 Six Flags Over Georgia I might be a little bit biased on that one since it was my home park for almost 11 years. 2 SeaWorld Orlando with Mako as my sixteenth ranked coaster. 3 Epcot something just feels different about Epcot. 4 Dorney Park the most underrated Cedar Fair park imo. 5 And finally, Nagashima Spa land people don’t give it enough credit.
I'd argue epcot because they still have millions of visitors and are known worldwide for their world showcase I'd also argue Six Flags over GA because I just got back from there and, 1 the park was crowded, 2 the park doesn't know how to handle crowds
I would almost add my home park, Sea World Orlando to this list. While this Sea World is more known to enthusiasts, I would say 80-90% of general population going to the park had no idea they have the coasters and thrill rides they have and the fact their coasters are really top notch. It could be argued Sea World competes with BGT for best coasters in FL (obviously that will change with Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster opening soon) but Ice Breaker will be a great addition. I think you are correct having San Antonio and San Diego on this list, but almost slight argument to include Orlando too.😃
SeaWorld is doing an amazing job at rebranding their San Antonio Location every since 2017, this park is among the biggest SeaWorld park and i’m very surprised they didn’t invest much more then the Orlando and San Diego location but maybe it’s just because of population. Though this park is very big there’s just no way this park will ever be landlocked for while. I think that a good Dive coaster would be a good fit for this park. i also could see Steel Eel being converted into a hyper soon. just because it’s getting very rough.
Canada's Wonderland is my home park and I've been going my whole life, since the early 1980's. I hate when I hear people giving it hate - Leviathan is a short giga, Yukon Striker is just a dive coaster, Behemoth has a rattle, etc. They are all world class coasters and they compliment each other well. Vortex is probably the best arrow suspended coaster out there too. Sledgehammer is so unique and probably my favourite flat ride. Plus, once the new cliff jumping attraction opens in Splash Works, we will be able to jump off a 7.5 metre platform! That's pretty wild and not something most people have done. It's an innovative and unique park and I love that about it.
My local park is so underrated, there’s not a lot of people there, it’s very quite, there’s a lot of nice trees and grass, there’s almost always an open table you can sit at, and there’s lots of room for dogs to run around but if you have a picnic there, just make sure birds don’t steal your food.
Rolling Thunder should have been iron horsed in Sixflags to compliment El Toro about 6 years ago. Its just disappointing. 4 hour drive to the nearest RMC for me.
I've been to Knoebels a lot and you are forgetting about the grand carousel the one you get the brass ring but I do agree on the food there they have really good french fries there but mostly very fun rides

I have a couple controversial opinions to share about this list. First, no Sea World park should be considered underrated because they have an absolutely awful history with their animals. I’m sure Sea World has been working do better and is changing its business model to be more about rides, but the company’s history still exists and is still recent enough that it should not be ignored. Second, I think Kings Island should be on this list. Yes, the park is loved by many enthusiasts who recognize it as a great park with a great ride lineup. However, the general public absolutely HATES Kings Island for no reason except that Cedar Point exists. I can understand liking Cedar Point more than Kings Island, but hating a regional park simply because a destination park exists is ridiculous.
I must be alone, but I dislike Dorney Park. Hersheypark, Great Adventure, and Knoebels have left this park in the dust while they continue to add to theirs.
I literally just watched a video of you listing Lagoon as overpriced. So is it underrated as well as overpriced? I work for a vendor of souvenirs, i sell to not all the olaces you list/visit. But a number of them there are souvenir items my company do sell to. I just wanna know if lagoon is worth visiting. Cause its underrated yet overpriced. Also, i grew up literally down the hill from Universal Hollywood, even with the recent additions, i think that park is weak, not really good rides, more focused on shows and the tour. After one time doing a studio tour its boring. Sorry, my mom worked for WB so as a kid i got to walk that lot a number of times, even did some premiers on that lot, the movie theater in the WB lot, inside is actually a movie theater with at the time subwoofers in the seats was cutting edge!!! The 90s were wild. Either way, ya, i havent seen Hogwarts nor the mario world there, i have seen crap move in and crap move out at Universal Hollywood. Forgive me if im not excited for it. Theyre more known for closing an attraction just to retheme it and change the marquis outside then call it new, so forgive me if im used to them pissing on my leg and telling me its raining.
You're totally right and I was guilty of this until I visited. I don't know what it is about that park but for some reason even though I was aware of their lineup as an enthusiast I still thought it was a typical 5-6 coaster park. But no, it's lineup is double that and they take really great care of their rides. It's an amazing park but it seems to constantly fly under the radar of enthusiasts.
Disney = $$$$. At least regarding the one in Orlando. A two day ticket could buy a platinum Cedar Fair pass. Plus, even during times of the year (pre COVID) not typically crowded at most other parks = Disaster at Disney! This has nothing to do with a lack of preference for dark rides but rather a disdain for hot, unreasonably crowded (did I mention countless screaming infants who have no idea what’s going on in giant strollers) parks on any given day even in the middle of the week for big bucks! Sorry but “jamais encore” (never again!)

Dorney is a nice park. It’s pretty, has some solid rides, a nice water park, and is pretty charming. I don’t really get why someone would hate it.
While I have not been to Dorney Park yet, it is definitely on my bucket list (although Phantom may have ruined Morgan Hypers for me).

KD is underrated, a world class top 2 and the park is really pretty

After one time doing a studio tour its boring. Sorry, my mom worked for WB so as a kid i got to walk that lot a number of times, even did some premiers on that lot, the movie theater in the WB lot, inside is actually a movie theater with at the time subwoofers in the seats was cutting edge!!! The 90s were wild.
Either way, ya, i havent seen Hogwarts nor the mario world there, i have seen crap move in and crap move out at Universal Hollywood. Forgive me if im not excited for it. Theyre more known for closing an attraction just to retheme it and change the marquis outside then call it new, so forgive me if im used to them pissing on my leg and telling me its raining.
Yes, lagoon is both. Outside of the expensive pricing, the park is fantastic

You're totally right and I was guilty of this until I visited. I don't know what it is about that park but for some reason even though I was aware of their lineup as an enthusiast I still thought it was a typical 5-6 coaster park. But no, it's lineup is double that and they take really great care of their rides. It's an amazing park but it seems to constantly fly under the radar of enthusiasts.

Disney = $$$$. At least regarding the one in Orlando.
A two day ticket could buy a platinum Cedar Fair pass.
Plus, even during times of the year (pre COVID) not typically crowded at most other parks = Disaster at Disney!
This has nothing to do with a lack of preference for dark rides but rather a disdain for hot, unreasonably crowded (did I mention countless screaming infants who have no idea what’s going on in giant strollers) parks on any given day even in the middle of the week for big bucks!
