it's fascinating how when we get immersed in something sometimes we can enter a flow state, a super creative/productive mode where time passes at a different rate and we can achieve some great things, and other times its just plain dogged determination and consistency that gets the results.
NZ, I know exactly what you are talking about. My deepest creative flow - when time disappears is when I am playing or writing music. I did a video on creative flow you might like if you haven't see it: th-cam.com/video/Eyy9ddRgMX8/w-d-xo.html
Thank you sir! I'm a graphic designer working from home for a fashion boutique. To keep myself motivated, I keep a daily theme for creation which is out of the world of fashion. I do it after completing work. It makes me creatively satisfied and motivated.
This popped up while I was sitting in my home office, wearing one step up from PJs, just about to start a multi-day editing job. Couldn't have come at a better moment! (Although I wasn't convicted enough to go change my clothes....)
These are great! Working isolated can slow things down. These are simple, but important tips to stay motivated and on task. Thank Q for sharing and helping others to succeed!
Great tips Philip! As much as I would love to work from home, I know it would be a struggle mentally. So if I ever do, I'll definitely re-watch this video :)
Good it's back, it was briefly online, last week or so and I already shared it, haha... This is a good one so I shared it again in the TIMI group on FB. Thanks again, Philip!
Really good advice and I do try to do most of these but, I’m 72 retired and don’t need to do anything if I don’t want to 😉 BUT I still want to and so it’s even harder. I think # 1 is the most important one and I’ve lived this all my life. Hey even raising 4 kids it’s # 1 why would anyone take notice of a Slovenly person? By the way I’ve Tweeted this so thank you 👍🏻💖🇬🇧
Damn, this is some good stuff! I have been working "from home" the last 10 years and I have used many of these points systematically. It was very fun to see the tools I use in this video!
Sir, we deal with various negative people at work. Please do a vedio on handling them maintaining our inner peace. If there is already a vedio on that, please provide me the link.
I'm such a procrastinator so using timing is sooooo important me. Now I'm doing hems/alterations on ppl clothes but I don't ask them to give deadlines. So getting deadlines might cause to actually finish 1 product before I start another.
@@axelzapata1084 Check out my video on interviewing skills- they are great for negotiating and pitching too! Good luck in your creative journey Axel (love you name BTW).

As long as no fluffy slippers are involved, I think you're good J.
