I've been told new construction doesn't even use PVC any more. Instead, hot, cold, and waste is all run by hose. That just doesn't sound right. Great tutorial. Have a great weekend Brother.

Hey Fred. You are correct my friend. It's a little more expensive, and you have to buy a few extra tools. But most house to use the hose. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤝

I had my well pump fail unexpectedly two years ago. Cost a fortune to get someone out to fix it, but thankfully they had the new one running in less than 24 hours. Yours looks easier to access and work on than mine was, and I'm glad you were able to fix it yourself.

Yeah, it seems throughout history, women have been relegated to hauling water. I wonder if it's anthropologically linked to childbirth. Women & water are essential to the continuation of life, thus, it is a noble task.

Hi brother 😁. I actually got that old pump working before I changed it out. It looks rough as all get out, I admit. Was going to continue to use it, but I thought I would go ahead and replace it. It does look pretty darn bad, no offense taken. The cast iron on the pump was corroded and the pressure tank housing was all rusted out. Like you said it was time. Old faithful, pumped many millions of gallons of water for the cattle troughs and swimming pool over the last twenty years. So I can't complain. Thanks for your support my friend 🤝

  • @YourOldPalFernbark

Hi Joe. If our local hardware store is closed it's forty miles round-trip to the next town, that has a store open on a Sunday. It's 15 miles round-trip to our local store. You might say we live out of town, Lol. I always have a habit of over buying, but the extra is always used. No telling what the farm dogs are dreaming. Actually they aren't ours. But you can't tell them that. They just decided to wonder up and stay. All were puppies so we couldn't just run them off. Thanks for watching and commenting, my friend 🤝
