lmao that's just plain wrong. My e90 has the classic red bmw analogue dials and they are harder to read than the screen in my mums benz (day and night)
how? you can reduce the brightness of the virtual cockpit or change the colors too sometimes, or just keep it minimalist. analog dials remind me of the first cars hundred years ago. very old technology. also check out the new technology in cadillac's new 2021 escalade that has actual GPS in live view mode right on the cockpit. it is amazing. it guides you as you drive in real time instead of having to look at a phone or a map. see the doug demuro video on that. great technology and the 21st century, not something from 100 years ago when cars first got started.

I love analogue gauges. Not only they look more pleasant and expensive/high quality to me but they're also easier on the eyes at night. I have pretty sensitive eyes. I wish more cars would offer high quality analogue gauges as an option.
I really really like the look of Mercedes analog gauges! I wish more manufacturers would take pride in these analog gauges and give them a unique finish and make them look like jewelry.

G63 AMG Can handle everything :) ! but we should to remember driving this car shouldn't compare with sport crossovers or sport cars , this is a MONSTER off roading suv

Enjoy watching a driver properly drive and to feel it as a viewer. Watching Doug DeMuro, by comparison, the in-car stuff always feels like he's driving slow even when he's flooring the throttle of a super car!

The digital dials look so unappealing to my eyes, especially the AMG "mode" with center tachometer.
This has to be a pretty unique driving experience, when you fed it the onions on that acceleration ramp it almost looked like front was plaining out like a boat

Love that Analog Dashboard (with the LCD within), like the last gen A6/A7 insturments, that was the best era.

Disagree. We have analog dials on our F33 and the fully digital dials on our F11. The analog dials look neat but they serve no purpose. The digital dials can change appearance entirely and there are a lot of features you can see right there next to the dials on the screen which wasn't possible with analog. I was skeptical at first of the new digital, about it being more difficult to see with bright light shining directly on it but its actually a lot better. The future is now.
This thing intimidates me way more than any hyper-lifted F350 with 60" tires lol.
You know whoever drives this is a person of power and can make you "disappear"

If they ran out of screen gauge clusters and they replaced it with an analoug gauge cluster then that means these will be more desired and rare in the future!!! Analoug is better anyways haha!

I would definitely prefer the analoge dials and I’m kinda shocked tbh.
Analog dials all the way! Think of the difference between owning a Rolex and looking at a picture of one on your phone.
More like a nice watch and a smart watch. Sure the smart watch has more features but the nice watch looks great, doesn’t annoy you after a time and it just works.
Test drive the svr you won’t regret it “the new one” it’s very impressive
In my opinion, that analog dial actually makes that car more special.
I really like the analogue dials. You used to be or maybe still are able to get them on the E63 in Germany as well. Don't know if that changed with the facelift. My guess is yes since they switched to MBUX.
That color is killer ! Personnaly I wouldn't mind a bit paying less for analog gauges, fits way better to me !

This spec has the Drive unit or drivemode select dial I feel I cannot live without if I was building one online and of course Carbon-fibre steering.
In Europe the analog gauges are standard and you have to pay more for the full digital gauge cluster

Ugh more AMG models need that kind of sound! I wish the GLE63 and GLS63 sounded like this. But it’s probably a byproduct of exhaust geometry. Shame you didn’t take this off-road with the Land Rover bois! Next time haha.

I recently drove a 2000 W220 with cloth interior. Wasn't that bad.
W220s are underrated. They just need extra rust protection in certain climates (the fault of production engineers using wrong anti-corrosion solution).
Analogue dials will always be better than digital.

analog gauges > lcd dashboard. I legit hate that trend and will only accept it in cars that can rev or accelerate faster than an analog gauge can cope with.
Also the only question with a G wagon that matters is: Will it off road?
It will definitely off road! Far be it from me to prove it with design paint on a car that is for sale, but The Topher has a red press car that he took off road this weekend.
