I can't believe I bought the 360 version... It was terrible. When I bought an Xbox One I got Horizon 2 shortly after, and it feels like a totally different game. They definitely downgraded the game from what it could have been on the 360 to promote the Xbox One's power.

I still think FH1 was better than both versions of FH2
I think it's like what happened to Farcry 4, in different generation versions, the game was clearly made more for Xbox One, than for 360, that's why the Horizon 1 looks relatively better than Horizon 2
FH2 is absolutely horrible on Xbox 360, graphics can be worst than FH1, which was released in 2012, by the way, it was not just the graphics that ruined the game, the cuts made on the 360 were purely bullshit. Xbox One version is great.
I think they could made it better for old gen just by making money earning easier. It's way to hard to make money, in the Xbox One version there's the Drivatars, which delivers a lot of cash when you win then. I'd sweat to get the McLaren P1 guys...

I feel like when they release games on both generations like that, it most likely has the graphics lowered on purpose to make people less satisfies with last gen and want to buy newer games. Like.... Battlefield 1 pushed the limits of the Xbox one. It looked amazing. Then battlefield 5 came out in the Xbox one x Era, and the base Xbox one version had low res textures. And the one x had 4k textures. They always make old systems look bad to make new systems look that much nicer.

I would have thought that the Xbox 360 Slim version would have coped well with Forza Horizon 2 with better detail. I think they only downscaled the 360 version so everyone can buy the Xbox one at that time. I don't think it was because of the specs. The 360 Slim version is from 2010 I believe. Still classed as an old console back in 2014 but it was only 4 years old at the time so it would have done well if that was the case. Think about it now. The Xbox one S is 5 years old and still holds up well on Forza horizon 5. Less detail than series X and one X by a little but you can never notice a huge difference. But when it comes to fps then that's a different story lol. But on car games like Forza. Fps isn't really my thing. 30fps or 60 is fine imo. Remember what happened with Black ops 3 graphics on PS3 and 360.. now that was obvious
Dude no way the 360 was a console from 2005 like if you actually look into its specs it’s a miracle games like this and mgs v and gta v ran at all on it 256mb of ram, Slim version has no higher performance than the original console it’s not like the one x or ps4 pro, actually ps2 slim ran some games worse than the fat ps2 for example they’re just smaller chips less power consumption usually, ps4 and Xbox one are still holding up a lot better because the main benefit from next gen consoles is much higher frame rate and much higher resolution, Xbox one version of fh5 is like 30fps 720p vs 60fps 4k

I have found so many map glitches on the 360 version it's ridiculous, in one area there's a patch of grass that's like ice if you drive on it, idk if anyone else found it but it's at the top of the map by the road going parallel to the riverbed, also if you challenge someone around that area there is a drivatar race you can't finish because there's a wall blocking the finish line, I think there's an area of the golf course where you can jump the fence, I got in there a few times, I feel like the 360 is running a beta version of the map, it would make sense that there's glitched spots and a lot of shit missing, and why it looks unfinished, I'm sure the 360 could handle at least a little more detail
On the 360 it is way too ugly. Uglier than Horizon 1 was. The textures look horrible, the effects, and they really left out complete map elements?! They could have done so much more on the 360 - they only made it to show the foolish people how much "difference" there is between the 360 and the One. Truth is, they made it look way uglier on the 360 than it could've been - remember, these consoles can handle GTA V and that game did not look bad on the prev gen consoles at all.

They should have made FH2 for the Xbox360 an Arcade-Game instead of a full-price title. Then it would be ok. But this, this is plain bullshit. I mean, we, the 360 users are literally begging T10 to buy their expensive DLCs... I bought it for the 360 without reading any reviews on the game - I was a great fan of Forza. The only consolation for me is the Astra VXR '12 they brought into the game.
love these comparisons. I had a SNES and Genesis back in the day and I would love to buy the same game on both systems to see the difference and a lot of times back then games played differently on consoles and most of the time got made by different devs. Only huge companies like Microsoft can actually afford to have one studio work on the next gen game and another work on the port to the previous generation and make it look as amazing as it can.

+FizzicKz Rain Test Drive Unlimited 2 on the 360 handles open world and has huge amounts of trees and foliage etc. off road, so clearly the hardware on the 360 is fully capable of pulling it off. Nobody expects the 360 version of FH2 to look as good overall, but the difference shouldn't be THIS vast. They could have done a better job.
+FizzicKz Rain TDU2 has a bigger map doesn't it? (I honestly don't know but I think I read that somewhere.) I agree TDU2's graphics aren't great, but nor is the 360 version of FH2 from what I can see. Given how sparse the level of objects and effects in SH2, it should look better no? TDU2 also has night/day cycles as well as rain cycles which does look quite good imo. I'm not saying this to say 'TDU2 is better than FH2' overall, but in some respects it is getting more out of the hardware and demonstrating that the Forza devs can't use that excuse.
Acho que pelo mapa ser enorme o console não suportou e tiveram que dar uma capada violenta nos gráficos, porque tem jogos com gráficos muito superiores no 360, exemplo os NFS Hot Pursuit e Most Wanted 2012.

The Xbox 360 could not handle rain due to the lack of power it had. Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games stated that the DLC was only for the Xbox One version of the game. The only new vehicles for the Xbox 360 version were featured in the Fast & Furious standalone expansion.
When the game came out on the Xbox 360, the Xbox One wasn't even in the projects. So stop saying the game looks unfinished. It is logical that the game was improved for a more powerful console. Think back to the 360 release date, and say thank you for pulling good games.
FH2 on 360 was a project handled by Sumo Digital kinda in a hurry to meet the deadline. They've used the FH1 engine and just made it look similar to the next-gen version.
I never noticed this when playing fh2 on the 360 but now I see it looks bad but I still loved the game on the 360 but fh1 is my favourite overall and on the 360.

Sim véi, é mto tosco o Horizon 2 pro X360, tem ruas com textura de asfalto mas quando vc passa é de terra, e outra, na estrada que corta o mapa, quando vc passa a mais de 300 km/h dps dos tuneis em uma "ponte", o carro "bate" em um nada e sai voando. Entre esses e outros bugs que acabam com a graça do jogo.

They should have made FH2 for the Xbox360 an Arcade-Game instead of a full-price title. Then it would be ok. But this, this is plain bullshit. I mean, we, the 360 users are literally begging T10 to buy their expensive DLCs... I bought it for the 360 without reading any reviews on the game - I was a great fan of Forza. The only consolation for me is the Astra VXR '12 they brought into the game.

love these comparisons. I had a SNES and Genesis back in the day and I would love to buy the same game on both systems to see the difference and a lot of times back then games played differently on consoles and most of the time got made by different devs. Only huge companies like Microsoft can actually afford to have one studio work on the next gen game and another work on the port to the previous generation and make it look as amazing as it can.

+FizzicKz Rain Test Drive Unlimited 2 on the 360 handles open world and has huge amounts of trees and foliage etc. off road, so clearly the hardware on the 360 is fully capable of pulling it off. Nobody expects the 360 version of FH2 to look as good overall, but the difference shouldn't be THIS vast. They could have done a better job.
+FizzicKz Rain TDU2 has a bigger map doesn't it? (I honestly don't know but I think I read that somewhere.) I agree TDU2's graphics aren't great, but nor is the 360 version of FH2 from what I can see. Given how sparse the level of objects and effects in SH2, it should look better no? TDU2 also has night/day cycles as well as rain cycles which does look quite good imo. I'm not saying this to say 'TDU2 is better than FH2' overall, but in some respects it is getting more out of the hardware and demonstrating that the Forza devs can't use that excuse.
360 owners should just be grateful they got something. The game could of been even better if they didn't have time to develop for the 360

The Xbox 360 could not handle rain due to the lack of power it had. Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games stated that the DLC was only for the Xbox One version of the game. The only new vehicles for the Xbox 360 version were featured in the Fast & Furious standalone expansion.
well TDU2 was a lot less graphically intense because it was made in 2011. That's why those effects were in place.
When the game came out on the Xbox 360, the Xbox One wasn't even in the projects. So stop saying the game looks unfinished. It is logical that the game was improved for a more powerful console. Think back to the 360 release date, and say thank you for pulling good games.
Forza Horizon 2 came out on the same day on both, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
FH2 on 360 was a project handled by Sumo Digital kinda in a hurry to meet the deadline. They've used the FH1 engine and just made it look similar to the next-gen version.

Sim véi, é mto tosco o Horizon 2 pro X360, tem ruas com textura de asfalto mas quando vc passa é de terra, e outra, na estrada que corta o mapa, quando vc passa a mais de 300 km/h dps dos tuneis em uma "ponte", o carro "bate" em um nada e sai voando. Entre esses e outros bugs que acabam com a graça do jogo.
