    I have 20 of them and love them. But the "smart" version has tons of problems, from what I read on the forums. What a cool test battery system. Nice video 😁

    Thanks for the review! From the looks of it, 30A on the 60A BMS will be pretty safe to use, less than 100F after 1 hour is no bad at all.

    i have the 16S 48V 60A version. It gets very hot when under high load (> 30A) and sometimes shuts down even if output is under 60A. Can you do experiment with putting some heat sinks on it?

    • @SolarEngineering

      I'd upgrade BMS to higher amps rather than install heatsinks.

    Good Day! Did you ever test ANT BMS? I just thinking how good or bad they are. I know that there is new version (2021 released) and software have a lot of bugs... What do you think abuut it? I need it for 20S LiFePO4. Maybe in the future will be 24s. not sure.

      @@SolarEngineering got it. Good luck in future test's. Btw, there is also one interesting type of BMS that is based not on MOSFET transistors, but on solenoid relay. They normally have way higher working current. Probably it will be even more interesting than ANT bms. Just idea nothing more. P.s. manufacture : qucc

    Hello.
    There was a problem with this board.
    After a short circuit, at first the voltage disappeared completely at the output, then it rose to 4 volts, then to 12.7, on the battery 13.4.
    Can you tell me if the board went into protection, or burned out?
    What can be done in this situation?

    When you connect isdt battgo how accurate is it? Also, you can try iCharger x8 instead, it’s more accurate, display doesn’t turn off and better balancing. I have both but x8 is much better for Diy in my opinion. Great Video!

    Спасибо за видео и тесты. +47 на старте теста заряда, жарковат то у Вас.
    У Вас есть возможность проверить работу балансировки? В этом "Why DALY BMS' are so popular? Exactly, I don't know either."
    Хотя моя такая же как у Вас в daly 4s 12v 60A заряд отключает и напряжение медленно но все же снижается с 3.75 до 3.5 и заряд опять подключается, но мне нечем проверить работает ли балансир на 30ма или нет, когда бмс включила защиту от перезаряда.

      Hi, if you are referring to 25Ah cells (small cells in the video), the capacity of these cells is 320Wh. Fridge (mid-size) takes about 900Wh a day, so you could run fridge for about 8 hours.

    230F is 110C. that's hot. lol. As with most chinesium grade BMSes, take their ratings and divide by half for safety. That would mean 30A discharge and 15A charge for this BMS and It would probably be ok. 10AWG cable is rated for 30A anyway, not 60A.

    • @SolarEngineering
      @SolarEngineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, true

    • @BenMitro
      @BenMitro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that unless it is specifically stated, the ratings should be read as impulse ratings, not continuous, so yes pretty much 30A/15A as a maximum, maybe less?

  • @hardergamer

    You are very wrong about 10awg silver-coated copper silicon wire power ratings, If you do some research into EVs you will see 10awg HTSSCW like this is rated to 80-120amps, as it is hi-tempter wire, even Tesla uses 10awg SW at 80a in all their cars for the heat pump matrix etc, Also If you look inside any EV controller like Savcon, Kelly Sabvgton, Fardriver, ASI, etc or motors like from QS they all use 8awg SCSCW in their 200 and 250a amp controllers.
    There is a very big difference between normal copper strand wire vs Hi temp silver-coated copper silicon wire which has 1600 strands of very fine silver-coated copper wire on 8awg, please learn about the ripple effect on this type of wire.

    I bought three of these same BMS and in my opinion they are junk. They allow the voltage on one or more cells to go way too high if the cells are not matched very closely. I do not recommend them at all and to me they were a complete waste of money and they have been put in the junk pile.
