- I've traveled to every country but I still feel like I've only just scratched the surface! In this video I play Geoguessr (my first time playing a video game!!) and it couldn't have been a better fit for someone like me who loves travel. This game has definitely put my knowledge of the world to the test. Enjoy!

Lexie, you don't need to worry that you didn't find "Kruszyna" on the map. I live in Poland over 30 years and I've never heard of this place... and I would definitely not find it on a map :)

If you've been there it's actually pretty easy to recognize
I immediately knew the exact point of the city before she even moved an inch, only because I have been there myself and the city is kinda remarkable.
I knew the exact place in Dubrovnik within like 2 seconds and i’ve only been there once. It’s such a memorable city that if you’ve been you know right away. Split wasn’t a very good guess in my opinion but i think she was just saying that for no reason. She went to Dubrovnik immediately
Yep, like the others have mentioned I've stood at that exact place to it was pretty recognizable. Nonetheless still very impressive since she's been to so many more places than we all have

I live in Guernsey (the island next to Jersey) which is part of the Channel Islands. We are part of the UK. You should definitely visit them! Guernsey is so pretty. I love living here.

I'm kind of addicted to GeoGuessr! It's such a nice way to learn so much about places, often my first thought about where I'm probably at is WAAYYYYY off and I'm like "what I had no clue this place was so green!!" I love when they throw some easy ones in there too though haha

I would really like to see you do the "no moving, country streak" category.
It's a bit less tedious because you *have* to guess and can't just use a ton of signs.
Basically you just don't move and have to base your guess on trees or road quality etc. Then you only need to get the correct country.
10:07 those two islands by France are owned by the British because Napoleon forgot to sign some papers at some point. You can take a ferry from Normandy there and you have to immediately start driving on the left side of the road and they use the Pound there rather than the Euro.

@@TvojaMAMA77 it isn't true we became a crown dependency of in 1204 I believe and the king at the time said that we could have our own laws (which at the time were a hybrid of English ones and Normandy ones) and be protected by them if we joined the UK

If she traveled to each country in the world and still don't know all the flags by heart, and still don't recognize all the countries on a world map. I would really be disappointed. That is basic knowledge when you travel.

if your feeling impatient you should do the “country streak” mode where u only have to guess the country, games go by pretty fast
But if you keep getting countries right, as she seemingly would, it could take hours.
This seems like such a fun game lol can't wait to try it myself!

I recognize Poland and I'm not polish. It's easy because of the unique signs (like the green village sign) and bollards (which have the polish colours)

This was a lot of fun to watch! I remember when GeoGuessr first came out several years ago, and it was so much fun to play! You used pretty similar tricks that I would use to figure out where I was. I usually looked at street signs for the languages (or even the alphabet), what side of the road people drive on, etc. I could tell the last one was in Brazil because I noticed the sign was in Portuguese instead of Spanish. I really enjoyed this one! I should consider playing this game again soon!

I think most of the viewers will love it if you upload some GeoGuessr videos from time to time. I will recommend the map 'An Urban World' 🙂

Definitely continue to play GeoGuessr with more videos. I’ve been playing for a few months and a beneficial side effect is gaining the ability to recognize different languages. Just yesterday, I learned to distinguish between the writing of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, although, of course, I cannot determine the meaning.

I’m Congolese living in the U.S, I don’t speak Polish so I had no idea what any of those words and place names meant, but I know the names of enough Polish Soccer players to recognize the Polish language when I see it. Lol.

that's not that bad of a guess since the architecture of both coasts are quite similar
Didn’t realise but this is exactly what I needed in my life
With a few pointers on how to play this game you could be a literal god at it. Like distinguishing whether you are on the northern or the southern hemisphere, paying attention to which side of the road they are driving on, actually seeing where you plop your dart (even if it's a random guess. For instance when guessing Singapore she was on the main road and she guessed a side street) and so on. But with your insane knowledge you were immediately way better than I was in the beginning. It's just about knowing some smart workaround. She's probably not gonna read this but to anyone trying to improve in this game use some of those tips :)

As a child that has been to five countries, I get so exited when I've been somewhere and when the one with lions in London showed up I yelled "I STOOD THERE".
You meantion getting dropped into your hometown then you get a location in Gig Harbor which is my hometown. That's crazy

Try geoguesser battle royale. You just guess what country you’re in. I’m not a gamer and don’t have much patience either so you might perfer playing that, it’s quicker
You have to play the Battle Royal version of this game, Personally feel like it is more entertaining as it's faster-paced, I'm sure you'd like it !! plz play it !!!
That or country-streak. A lot of the full-game is nitty gritty figuring out the exact street. But definitely trying to guess the country really quickly is a blast

If you ever play again, I recommend the Diverse World map which will show smaller countries with less Google Maps coverage more often! It’s the top map in the “Browse Maps” section.

I actually just made a TH-cam video about Microsoft flight simulator and since my channel is based on travel I turned it into a travel vlog by picking 20 locations to explore. It's a simulation game which has every location that's on the planet and looks very realistic 😉
Once you learn all the tips and tricks for Geoguessr(compass, road signs, etc), I have no doubt you’ll be an expert.

when I was 5 years old, 60 years ago, my older brothers used to build Monopoly from scratch during summer holidays, including Die we need to roll - my eldest used to pick a theme, usually from Atlas (like famous port cities around the world and some obscure ones too) - the assignment for us is to learn all we can about that city. country, including currency current leader names, other famous places
I actually had a much better knowledge of the world (countries, cities, famous people, places, languages) at the age of 8 than I have now but I have seen about 30% of the world and most of the wonders of the world
My son loves this game and has been playing it for a couple of years. He is a Geography nut. I think he will love to travel one day💗
I got the first one on the world game as soon as I saw Durrell. Jersey is where my mum was born. Spent many summers over there and the Durrell Zoo is one of the best I've ever been to.
The Islands are part of the UK but have their own government and currency. The Language is sort of French but different at the same time.
