What is this drumming? I'm completely enthralled by it. It's a choppy kind of signature that almost sounds like he is pulling at the tempo. Like he lives on the border of stoner territory without crossing. I don't know anything about the band I literally just started checking it out, so I dunno how else to describe it, but I'll certainly listen intently on other tunes. Thanks for replying :)
QualeQualeson this whole album is amazing. love this stuff. a Nd yeah. his drumming sounds like hes trippung up all the time. and i know what your talking about
It's basically a shuffle. What really works here is that the drummer is playing the bell on quarters so only the bassdrum and snare are "shuffling". Reminds me of the style Chris Hakius played in OM. Another thing that I dig about the drums here are the sloppy fills he plays without hitting the crash at the end. He also doesn't crash on those emphasizes in the chorusses - 90% of the drummers would hit the crash but he plays the bell instead, keeping the draggy feel. You see, I really analyzed the drumming 😄! Absolutely love it!!!
I love these guys. Saw them live in ~2016 when they came through my little (not so little any more) town of Missoula, Montana. The venue had maybe 100 people and these guys killed it. I was right up front dancing my ass off. There's 0 chance they'll be back here, but maybe I can catch them again some day in a bigger city.
In all honesty, I thought this was a sixties band and the song might be an earlier version or sixties version of death's door by DM. Don't ask me why because I don't know 😂 still a good song though. Then I was floored to find out the band isn't even from the 60/70 but a modern band. I'll be listening to more you never know I may have a new favorite band here. 👍
I called my 12 year old son over to the couch to listen and watch Jerry play in this video. My son is really really good at fishing and really loves it. The excitement in his voice and in his body language, it all captures his passion perfectly. And i was explaining to him one day about how if he is really that passionate about it he can keep practicing and go on to do something great with it. And i said you know how happy and genuinely excited you get when you fish? It's the same thing as this man playing here. Look at the joy in his face? He was digging it by the end.
This album is amazing! Started listening to it with my buddy while getting super stoned one night and found it to be absolutely incredible. I only have one bad thing to say about it and that is that it is such a limited edition that it is impossible to find in record stores.
Yeah wish I could have been able to get one. My buddy was lucky enough to snag one when they first came out and I loved the album. Sounds amazing on vinyl.

Brennen Dills Alright, cool.I honestly dunno what I'm talking about from a technical standpoint. I'm just hearing _something_ Also, there are some.. imperfections. I wonder if they keep those on purpose on this track. I read about how they get old instruments to get that original sound so maybe they decided to roll with the mistakes as well? Thanks for replying :)
QualeQualeson this whole album is amazing. love this stuff. a Nd yeah. his drumming sounds like hes trippung up all the time. and i know what your talking about
Perhaps he's playing from memory to a click track. Metronomes are reeeeally hard to drum to.
Only.once.n awhile I come across that perfect.place on utube...and here it is!!!!
I love these guys. Saw them live in ~2016 when they came through my little (not so little any more) town of Missoula, Montana. The venue had maybe 100 people and these guys killed it. I was right up front dancing my ass off. There's 0 chance they'll be back here, but maybe I can catch them again some day in a bigger city.
best song ive heard in the non extreme metal genre in years
also, best cover I have seen in a long time, by far
Found this band today by Ytube suggestions .... In love with this song
He was digging it by the end.
this song smoked all my weed. niceee
Fantastic!!!! I don't believe that I'd never listen this band before.
Has anyone ever noticed that the image on the knife is a shot from "The Crimson Ghost" or have i just reached enlightenment?
My new favorite song
Where has this been all my life?🖤
As long as you found it now. Welcome.
I haven't stopped listening to this song. it's been over a decade. Help.
A dark, timeless, masterpiece.
This is pretty dark... and pretty good..
Nah this band is pretty DANK!
I saw these guys with King Diamond. I've been a fan ever since
Still jamming here in 2023
This album is amazing! Started listening to it with my buddy while getting super stoned one night and found it to be absolutely incredible. I only have one bad thing to say about it and that is that it is such a limited edition that it is impossible to find in record stores.
+Phil Hand yeah, just 100 copies
Yeah wish I could have been able to get one. My buddy was lucky enough to snag one when they first came out and I loved the album. Sounds amazing on vinyl.
Well there's always TH-cam!
Hahaha yeah thankfully!
:D
Was stoned the first time I heard this, honestly thought I was in a dream
