He was the only one left out of the last 3 victims. I think when it was clear Boyd wasn’t going to kill him the worms were passed on to try and find 3 new victims that would die and set the “Boogeyman” free permanently.

    Boyd took down one of the bottles after Sarah told him not to.
    There's an empty bottle in the stairs of the Lighthouse in Tabby's dream.
    Boyd says stopping the music "might be the last chance to put the genie back into the bottle".

He became a maniac and started shooting everyone, killing his sister and his mother. Maybe such traumatic event and pain he felt cause him to somehow create this crazy loop where all his fears live and torment others? That is why he's simple, while as boy, he seemed normal. Only when we start to dig deeper into his mind do crazier things start to come out.

    When Boyd met Martin in the tower, there were 2 other skeletons there. What if Martin was actually Randall and the other skeletons belonged to Marielle and Julie. They are very careful not to disclose Randall's last name. What if it's Martin, and he is in the Marines. He acts like he could have PTSD like many from the military. They also don't show his arms that could have the tattoo that was seen on Martin's upper arm.....We know time has no barriers in the Fromplace. I was thinking along the same lines with Martin, the worms, visions of Abby and the cicadas being linked to the same “monster” just didn’t link the boogeyman. The fact his eyes weren’t greyed out and he could hold a conversation unlike the three taken by the cicadas was a big giveaway Martin wasn’t necessarily a “real” person. Pretty certain Martin was just another shape shift like when it also presents as Abby and the worms.
    Loving this show so much, season 3 feels soooo far away!!
    Great video man keep up the good work 🤘🏻

    My theory is that whatever built the world they’re in and whatever controls it can also read minds and control their dreams. The dream imagery is everywhere in the show. For me, Tabitha proves that they’re in a shared dream world and the only way out is to die in the dream. Abby was right and she’s visiting Boyd in her dreams and telling him the truth. If you stop trying to survive the place you get out. The place is a lot like a game that resets when people exit, new people enter. Resources are provided when you try to stay like chickens and goats, but they get taken away if you attempt to leave. Abby , Iron Abby who doesn’t break, was sane. She remembers a dream from her childhood when she’s in Fromland because she’s Eloise and she was there before. She also remembers how she left and how to get out so she is actually freeing people. She’s now contacting them through her dreams to help them get back to her. The jukebox leads Boyd to the lighthouse. Later it plays In Dreams by Roy Orbison during a Boyd montage. The trailer for season two plays Dream a Little Dream. Tons of pictures in the opening of sequence are of beds and a monster taking one from their bed. El Cucuy or onkoowie takes bad kids from their beds, so this is somehow a part of the story as well. It’s depicted in the opening sequence. But dreams are the key and dying is the way out just like we typically awake before we die in dreams. There’s so many dream clues obviously with the sleeping attacks, everyone sees the tree when they arrive, Donna makes Fatima a dreamcatcher, etc. Yes, Donna is sus. So is Tilly, I think she might be Victor’s mom. Victor, Abby and Tilly look ALOT alike and the ages seem to match up for them as well.

      My theory is that when people die in from land they return to the real world and leave the dream world. So anyone who dies there would actually still be alive. I think Victor’s mom might have found a way back in to be with him before she dies of cancer. As others have mentioned, Tilly seems familiar with the place and more comfortable than you’d expect from someone new. She also just looks a lot like the actress who plays young Victor’s mom.

    After seeing how the others had white eyes and were incoherent when trapped inside I think Martin was lying 100%. I also don’t think he went back in time, I think Martin was actually trapped in the present. Makes me wonder where his body is if he actually died, the others had physical bodies outside so where was Martin actually? I think Martin was the same as Abby and possibly Tom the bartender when talking to Jade, just using an appearance to manipulate them while they think it’s themselves.
    I think the main goal is going to end up being Fatima’s baby. She was given ability to conceive by the town so it’s possible she’s just a surrogate for a half human half dreamland baby that monster will be able to physically control

    I think the worms under Boyd's skin were the cicadas. I think Martin purposely transferred them to Boyd to make Boyd think he might have a weapon ro fight back at the monster's with. But when in reality it was more of this place's evil coming for them. Specifically the 3 the cicadas captured, and unless he stopped that music box those 3 captured may have become smiley monsters themselves. And I think a new cycle may have begun as well.

    So I think you could be right...in 'Lost' there is a mysterious evil entity on the island called 'the man in black' and not only does he want to leave the island where he's trapped, but he can also shape shift, he is technically 'the monster' in the story, he uses dead people to manipulate other people by taking their form, he can cause visions AND during one episode he took the form of SPIDERS and bit 2 people, causing them to become paralyzed! The people on the island trying to keep him on the island describe him as 'evil incarnate' so yeah sounds kind of like a boogeyman to me

      @PY68 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yep, I been getting "Man in Black" vibes for a while now. I agree with much of Eman's theory, but I like the way you put it better..."a" boogeyman, not "thee" boogeyman. My issue is why would a supernatural entity be connected to a music box, with its abilities heightened & weakened by its use or non-use. That leads me to believe that this boogeyman is more human in nature, but evil corrupted, a-la man in black. And this person at one time had a connection to the music box. My 2 cent.

Sarah mentions they were looking for a way to escape, to go home. They watched Khatri bury the bag, proving they exist via communication thru Sarah. Maybe its more than one entity, maybe some sort of spiritual phenomenon in a parallel world, where a big ass tree in the road results in a shift in the physical world around you. I think your right about the boogie man theory. This town is about taking advantage of your fears like spiders, cicadas, ventriloquist dummies, etc.
    but who is on the other side telling them the truth to break the music. The one that told them the nursery rhyme. It’s interesting that a nursery rhyme is something we tell children and is the children’s nursery rhyme that help kill the boogie man’s plan. And the children’s crayon drawings that solves the answers to the town’s mysteries. Who tells us nursery rhymes and who tells us to draw crayon pictures? Our mother. Victor’s mother tells her kids to make the crayon drawings. Who comforts us in the real world when we get a bad dream with the boogie man. Our mothers.
    Remember in season one when Ethan’s mother, Tabitha confronts Ethan when he gets fear or is scared of the monster that killed his finger puppets. She says to Ethan there is no such things as monsters. Mothers always comfort us from the boogie man or monsters in our dreams. So I think Victor’s mother is the one that is sending them the clues on how to stop the monsters. It was Victor’s mother I believe that sent them the clue about the nursery rhyme.
    Who makes us feel better when we have a bad dream. Our mothers do.

      I agree. I believe that this show could be entirely about a shared dream world and possibly even a dream experiment. That would explain why so many arrive with their entire families or their loved ones arrive later. It could be something they signed up for or were forced into while in their homes. I think those who die in the dream world just wake up and that’s why the boy in white apologized to Tabitha because he was separating her from her family. I think he’s a distractor in the dream world, not a helper. I think he may even run it and the message Sarah got to kill the boy was for the boy in white, because then they would wake up and be free. I think the voices are from the people who have left but return in their dreams to help the others get out by dying in the dream world

Cause Martin looked like an actual living skeleton. Martin was hoping to die and it seemed like he knew once the worms were out of him he could transition in peace. I think they're in a coma, unknowingly sustaining Martin. When they die here, it might actually be an awakening. It mirrors our own reality, where we desperately fight death, which could be the gateway to our true, eternal paradise.
    Abi understood this. When she died, she tried to contact Boyd, urging him in every way possible to come with her and awaken to his true existence.

    Another notable thing differentiating Martin from the townspeople trapped inside the same walls was that his eyes were clear and open and he was able to talk. With the others they weren't able to converse with Boyd and their eyes were glazed over so that already shows Martin could not have been a real person.

    My theory is that they all were about to die in a car crash, but jumped dimensions instead. That’s why they come from all over the US. That’s why they are stuck in this realm with these things that have been stuck in there since for centuries. For S3, I think tabitha will somehow come across victor’s sister (because she was mentioned on going after their mom, but her body was never mentioned to be found) and tabitha will prob try and convince her to find a way to go back in order to save everyone

    • @SH-bm8yp

      Victor says that the trees have been moving. This to me, indicates that this place itself moves. So it's possible it can move through certain areas of the country, capturing people in it's dimension. Sort of like how in Lost the island would move location from time to time.

    Dude! That is the best theory yet
    I think the reason there are so many different types of religious or spiritual symbols in this show is because you are right. If it’s using their fears and they are all from different backgrounds and places, then the different rituals and tools and symbols would all be intertwined as well.
    Plus, I think maybe the place where tabitha woke up is where they are studying this entity.
    Maybe they caught the boogeyman and have put in a alternate space with these people to study it and how it effects people and how people effect it.

It will not be a surprise to me if we later find out that Randall is connected to Martin as this Boogeyman.

    This makes sense, like many theories do, I’d say when Martin says the town is the worst part he’s being honest as the monsters had to search for the people and thus it’s the worst part. Most people would think it’s the best part even before the talismans. Especially because you would assume the woods would be worse or even the caves. I know Boyd thought he meant because of no talismans, but I don’t think that’s the case. He didn’t even seem interested in the talismans when Boyd told him.

  • @veramartz

    I think you are right. In the cave there was that giant black/red figure that seems to be a dominant evil. That means there is one entity that controls this world and all the monsters. My question is for what reason Martin gave the worms to Boyd? Did he expect him to think that he could kill monsters with the worms? Or he expected him to pass the worms to everyone in the city or maybe to take control of Boyd's mind?

  • @sarahlafferty6072
    @sarahlafferty6072 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I think we will see a spider eventually. And maybe it will be a “good” entity. Ethan has mentioned spiders twice. Once when he was hurt in the RV and once when they were digging in the basement. Then there is the drawing of the spider and Boyd and Sarah were dragged to a part of the forest where there was webs everywhere. I think it’s good because the spider drug Sarah and Boyd to a place where they would see the lighthouse. Also spiders eat insects and the “bad entity” has shown up as worms and cicadas.

    One counter point. How do Julie, Randall, and Bitch girl appear in the chamber AND back in town?
    The 'bodies' imprisoned are souls.
    It's how Martin was still there and could not 'die'.
    So either Martin was real
    His soul at least.
    Or he has already expired and been twisted/ having his image used by the entity.

    • @EmansReviews
      @EmansReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Counter to the counter... If let's say when someone dies their soul disappears, then why were those skeletons there when Boyd first arrived? I mean I don't know the rules to this place. 😅

    • @thatdudemoe9109
      @thatdudemoe9109 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well that's no counter considering Julie's physical body was in town and in the chamber.
      The ones in the chamber must be psychic constructs, souls, ect.
      Who says souls are intangible and white clouds? Lol.
      When you die in the town from the cicadas, you appear to fully transition to the chamber in a soul like, yet physical state. There is no saving you at that point. There is only releasing your soul via transferring the worms.
      I believe those imprisoned are physical manifestations of souls, forced to stay there and relive periods of hope and despair, a forever dream and nightmare, fueling the entity of that place.
      I believe someone managed to free Martin's counterparts before,
      But he remained.
      A battery and or meal. Eternal.
      Til Boyd came lol

    What's confusing in season 2 is Martin warns Boyd that he needs to get out BEFORE the music stops. Then later, Boyd comes back to stop the music himself. It seems that we have lies and truths to figure out. And who and what can really be trusted? The boy in white? The apparitions of dead townspeople? The voices that Sara and possibly Reggie heard? The dreams? Martin? The ballerina? The monsters that come out at night definitely can't be trusted.
    Sara and Nathan's house was taken over by Reggie and Paula. I believe Reggie heard voices just like Sara did and killed Paula like Sara killed Tobey. I don't believe his story about her just suddenly being torn up from within. The voices may have also told him to keep everyone awake. If no one sleeps, then they make dumb mistakes.
    The cicada ritual may be how to form new monsters from townspeople. Randall, Marielle, and Julie's eyes looked like the night monsters eyes. Even monster Jasmine stated , "I wasn't always this way." Randall was not killed that night even though he was exposed. The cicadas came from monster Smiley after the ballerina showed Boyd how to transfer the worms. If the worms are never transferred, then the host dies? Anyway, it seems that the original 1950s folk were infested by the cicadas and transformed into night monsters.

  • @kierrawooden627
    @kierrawooden627 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Also note that when all 3 of them being possessed by the Cicadas, their physical bodies were still present but also inside of the chamber. Martin body was in the chamber where is his current body? He could definitely be the bad guy!

  • @akemiflameborg
    @akemiflameborg 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Here's what I've been thinking while watching season 2: Martin could have been a real person, and the worms were somehow keeping him alive. I was also thinking that maybe his human body died and it was just his soul that was trapped. I thought the actual monster was the ballerina. I have this theory that this town used to be a normal town but something happened and all the people who lived there became the monsters. The ballerina was a woman who lived in this town and for whatever reason she became a different kind of monster and her powers are connected to the music box she owned when she was alive. I also suspect the children may have been some sort of human sacrifice and that's why their souls are trapped and need saving. Maybe the sacrifice didn't work out and it had something to do with the boy in white, that's why he seems different than everybody else. Idk, just random thoughts I've been having while watching the show.

    Not related but we now know Victor had a sister who escaped to follow their mother in the night of the attack. On the finale it was implied that Victor found his mother's body close to the bottles farway tree, but no sign of his sister, who probably was able to go into the tree. WHAT IF Tilly is Victor sister's, she was able to escape and now return? (Shoutout to @user-to8fm2zy8t 's comment saying that Till is a returnee btw)
    1- We haven't seen Tilly nor Victor interact yet (and he probably wouldn't have recognized her anyway since he buried all his trauma, not even remembering he had a sibling);
    2- she seemed to be the only "new comer" who was enjoying her time when the bus arrived at Fromville;
    3- she also chose to stay at colony house (Victor's residence).
    4- We were never told Victor's sister age but she could've been slighlty older or appear that way due to many other factor like pollution (that don't seem to affect fromville) or maybe illness (she brought the morphine).
    Idk I just think they focused too much on Tilly for there not to be a specific reason.

      My theory is that they’re in a shared dream world that you wake up from when you die. I think Tilly is Victor’s mom who chose to return or was somehow able to return maybe as a mercy before her death from cancer, since she’s already dying. That being said, Abby said she had a nightmare of the place as a child. I think she died at the lighthouse as Eloise and she remembered that they all had to die to wake up. It would be cool if Tabitha found Abby in the real world because I believe Abby is sending messages from there in her dreams to help them get out. She told Boyd in the dungeon it doesn’t matter if you save them, you’re all going to die anyway. It’s true. They’re going to die and wake up eventually. By hoping and fighting for survival, they prolong their time there. But giving up on survival goes against Boyd’s nature( Mr. Fish and Loaves) so it’s nearly impossible to get him to stop.

Where or when is this place where they are trapped and why have they not been able to clear the road? 2) Environmental changes? The trees moving, the weather, past and potential flood? 3) Monsters and physical manifestations?
