I just played the song over this trailer and it literally is not even close to being perfectly in time. Some of the cuts happen to be on beat, but more importantly the flow of the trailer is not even close to the flow of the song.

It is the same issue with smoke from ESS on tanks and the smoke generator of ships, where the ESS output is visible through the smoke (at least at long ranges), and the smoke from ships is visible from the sky through thick cloud cover.

Planes are actually quite easy to grind. With a decent prem plane and prem account you can easlily get around 20k xp per game

ill get you in on a secret if ya ever notices researching a planes whole tier of mods it gives you a bonus ammount of rp and you can use this to grind anything tbh for the higher tier planes the ammount is very very high

@@alvarito7523 Depends on how they implement the firing system. If they do the tomcat justice and give it it's ability to fire 6 54's in TWS so the 6 unfortunate souls 50 miles away have no idea they have been launched on until the missile goes active on top of them....Not much to counter. I imagine we are going to see a very "modified" tomcat. Get your notch game polished up and hide in the filter. 54's aren't the most maneuverable of missiles.
A magnificent aircraft, I hope it will get worthy opponents Like Mirage 2000, Tornado F3 and Mig-29.

As an Italy main, I'm really hoping for the Tornado IDS or ADV in this update, now that the F-14 is confirmed. With my luck, we'll be the last one to get anything good though. The supposed "leak" list had one for Germany and UK, but not Italy, so I really hope that's not real.

Unless they balance it by adding other 4th gen keys like the mig 29 or su 27 the very early versions ofc, or the tornados for UK, Germany and Italy, pretty much the jets that I can think of that can balance the tomcats

Best trailer so far. It was awesome and the music was out of this world, the Tomcat showcase was excellent and to top it all off this teaser was released around the same time as the new Top Gun movie which is an amazing coincidence.

Very impressed with the carrier designs! Please please please, add a game mode around carriers! Seriously fleet battles would be absolutely amazing as a game mode in both ww2 themed carriers and modern ones. Here's how it would work. Both teams have one or more AI carriers and the team objective is to keep your carrier safe and destroy the enemies. Game mode would involve long range interceptors, scouts, battleships etc. I could easily see this becoming the most played game mode in War Thunder if implemented properly.
So...have you tried Naval Enduring Confrontation yet? Has all of what you just mentioned, and let me tell you, the AI carriers are ganked almost immediately. Granted everyone is off doing something else, but still. Try it out sometime.

Although many say they are disappointed that Gaijin didn't manage to get the actual Danger Zone song licensed for this, after watching the video with the actual song behind it, I gotta admit... this is better. It's more cinematic and epic, it fits the cuts perfectly and it gave me goosebumps throughout the entire thing, even when watching it the 3rd time. Well chosen track!
I wanted to say something simillar, the calmer parts of the song with cinematic parts of trailer moving into action with more stuff happening. Very good choice of a song.

I have to admit you are right, it really does work well especially in that first minute of the trailer (first forty seconds are my favourite). I hate buying things in game but I might buy this.

Unpopular opinion: Phoenix won’t be game breaking. It’ll function similar to the AIM7F in game currently but just as a fox3 instead of a fox1. Nobody fights at 30k+ feet so it’s full advantages won’t be realized. Need EC map size for Phoenix to really shine

Its a very large diamater missile with low maneuverability, will be fine at alt with proxy fuse to make up the difference. At low alt you would have to be disabled to die to that thing at close range

Kind of interested in how the AN/AWG-9 and AIM-54 will be modeled ... the tiny maps that make up most of Air RB pretty much mean you'll be shooting airfield to airfield unless they make some changes (or the modeling is wonky)
At low altitude, the aim-54s range is severely reduced bc of its weight and size, so even on smaller maps it shouldn’t be an issue. The thing to worry about it the fact that tomcats have an ability to launch without actually locking a target, and then let the missile lock on once it’s close.
The advertised range applies at high altitude, at high speed, so near sea level at Mach 1.1 or lower it’s only going to be able to hit targets within 20 miles that are closing. At least that’s how it works in DCS, I’m a RIO in a squadron 😂
@@noahlagoe1704 in Air RB Air fields are around 45km apart. When you take off, you will already be Able to lock 6 enemy planes Taking off, fire all Phoenix's and land. F-14 won't work in this game with current maps

@@55.... MiG25 was a high speed interceptor with a long stick (missile) and a unique radar.
While the F14 wasn't /just/ an interceptor, it certainly filled that role quite well, and had a long stick, and a unique radar.
Thing is, the F14 isn't JUST an interceptor, it was a total air supremacy platform. The MiG25 is a brick of you expect to turn it and was never intended to fight a turn fight.

You shouldn’t be surprised Gaijin constantly skips over plans and doesn’t go in historical order. Look at the F-105
Su-25 (and any other r*ssian vehicle) won't be added for a year or 2 because of gaijin fear of getting under attack by the over-sensitive west

Problem is they will never run out they have skipped soo many vehicles in early ww2 alone, let alone mid-late and then many post war vehicles skipped to not just with in game nations but other nations too this is all done on purpose so they can go back once they reach the most modern stuff and continue adding stuff to the game till they can add the latest releases of vehicles, they basically have an endless supply of stuff to add using this strategy

I have a solution. Make a BVR bracket for jets with long range missiles, but then allow them to remain in air RB with short/medium range missiles.
With Gaijin's programming ability and all the spaghetti code, this is how we will end up with The Final Countdown.
We already have BVR missiles. I just took out a Mig from from a 23km lock, and I assure you even with zoom it was beyond render distance.
Refined solution. Increase render distance to at least 50km and make 4th gen and late 3.5th gen fight on exclusively EC maps

Would be neat if they added RIOs to war thunder. Join a squad for sim, one person chooses to be pilot and the other RIO. If only one person in the squad has the plane they're the pilot and the second person is forced to be RIO

@@ulisese.7018 Actually I got the phantom without premium, but onwards when any event occurs, I grind it out and then sell it on market and wait for the sale to grab half yearly premium for only 20 bucks and now I have premium all the time + battle pass without spending a single buck on this game

While the AIM-54 may have huge range, it won't like being fired low and slow, and it can be notched if the pilot detects/realizes it early enough. I just fear that many new jet players will be either slapped by the Tomcat, or get slapped in it because they will GE their way there right away.

Yeah, though DCS seems to be going faster maybe, while style in WT trailers has clearly improved and is starting to look like DCS ones, DCS still has the edge on visual accuracy... as long as you avoid including DCS night carrier ops in the trailer

@@CleverBoy0098 MiG-25 can't compete against the F-14 on equal terms. It was designed as a high altitude, high speed interceptor, meant to hunt bombers and spyplanes. Gaijin may decide to add it before the MiG-29 or the Su-27, but this won't act as a counter to the F-14. It might only serve as a novelty plane with no real use in the game as it is right now.

To anyone suggesting its not the right time, it definitely is. Wt can continue to add gen 3 jets as the game advances but its better to move on to gen 4 now before players have to go through walls of 390k rp and 1.2 mil sl just to get to their favourite planes. I feel the need… the need for speed
