Honestly speaking, it took a little while for this track to grow on me, but now that it did I will say that the s2 finale didnt reach the same level of spectacle and thrill as s1's finale for the MOST part, both in music and in the type of opponent youre fighting, sort of. Beth broke the norm established by all other bosses in that special dragon transformation, and her phase 3 had a VERY special attack that wasnt quite seen with any other boss (the one where she goes limp). Beths themes were VERY climatic and really delivered on the "this is it" final boss vibes. Plague Doctor, for the most part... ALMOST felt like just another boss, to an EXTENT. Phase 2's difficulty was DEFINITELY a much needed difficulty spike, but the overall moveset didnt have that same degree of special uniqueness that you might expect similar to what Beth had, in Kaden's own way. Which is why i say he felt almost like an ordinary boss. Plague Doctors themes are definitely good, but it didnt give me those same "special" vibes, if you get me? Every chapters boss had their own unique track, but if you put all of s2's chapter boss themes together and showed someone who didnt know the game each track, and didnt tell them what chapter each track goes to, i dont think theyd guess this was the S2 final boss. They might guess Camille's theme, or maybe even Volt's theme. And then theres Kaden's phase 3. Significant shift in music approach, a lot more calmer, but at least it delivers the vibes of the significance of who you're fighting. But whats surprising is the fact that phase 3 is EASIER than Phase 1, let alone phase 2. If they were gonna do that, then it wouldve been nicer if we had a harder Phase 3 Plague Doctor, and Phase 4 Kaden could be a surprise twist. That way they couldve made more of Labose's full power in Kaden, and maybe give us some uber monstrous amalgation similar to what happened with Beth. But the devs already delayed the finale once, so that might be too much to expect. But anyways, imo, S2 finale may have lacked some of the same high spectacle thrill as S1, BUT it made up for it with the plot significance and impact due to who you were fighting. With Beth, she was your typical final boss type of threat that the story had been building you up towards fighting for quite a while. With Kaden, not SO much, but you definitely knew this was an important decisive battle towards something greater, which could set things up real nice for S3. Also a nice formula for finishing a season in its own way imo.
I agree with you. I kinda expect fighting kaden will be as hard as beth one (it took me one month btw to beat beth before nerf, perhaps my char is so bad lmao), even tho phase 2 was ridiculously hard (like i had no area to evade his attack, and it took 50% of my hp). But even with that, i beat it and it took 4hrs with 3x revive. Overall, i quite expect it to be much more harder/have more plot twist rather than cammie 2.0.
@jair73626 of course S3 is going to, or at least supposed to, reach a higher peak finale than the previous two seasons. But the final boss obviously isn't gonna be Kaden again as he was the peak of THIS season, just like Beth was the peak of the FIRST season.

@GoTouchSomeGrassBro if you actually bothered to read my little essay in full, you would see how I explained that Kaden/Plague Doctor wasn't "special" IN THE SAME WAY as Beth. It's vibes were certainly grand from a narrative perspective, but the execution wasn't as POWERFUL as Beth's finale was. It didn't have the same "OOMPH" it had, IN THE SAME WAY. But then again, Aggressive people like you never do seem to be capable of reading things longer than 20 words, so that's on you ig. But then you didn't even fully read TMAN's comment, cause he said Beth was only so hard PRE nerf. We all came AFTER the fact. But anyways. I also said how I did indeed like Kaden/Plague Doctor, all I really said was that there COULD have been more, but given the developer's circumstances, I'm glad with what we got. And nah, anyone with even a half decent understanding of the nuances of music would most likely NOT assume this track to be the final boss, so long as they arent shown the title, obviously. So that's a little ironic to hear otherwise, coming from you. But hey, this is all just a matter of opinion in the end. You ain't any more right or wrong than I am when it comes to appreciation and interpretation.
