I used to do domino toppling with my brother. At the time, my mother was a very heavy smoker and was spending a lot of money on her nicotine habit so my brother built a domino layout which squashed cigarettes.

6 entire days for the setup (we had lot's of fails and accidents :/) and roughly 5 hours editing...
And then of course a few days for organising the contest and all the entries... And tomorrow I'll spend another couple of hours organising the voting system ;)
