Seriously nothing The Mold ICI tanka through Newcastle Central in the 70 and eatly 80s always had a 40. Unbelievable sounds. Likewise the Coatbridge ans Trafford Park Freightliner from Felixstowe before the Trimley cut iff over the crossing at Beach station qnd up the grade towsrds Trimley would have amazed you youngsters today. I was so lucky to live through the 60s modernization before trucks finally killed off rail.
Nice, but after watching Deltics over a 20 year period while standing on that bridge and watch them blast through the station while reverberating all around York and inhaling the fumes it would take more than a couple of class 37's.
@@chrisw_321 🙏 Thanks for the explanation. RHTT I guess has something to do with rail track treatment? I was asking because there were only a small number of trucks/ wagons and yet it had two locos. 🙂
@@highvoltageswitcher6256 yes RHTT is the railhead treatment train, the modules consist of a control module, a silica sand mix and water jets. They’re usually operated with 2 locomotives for safety reasons (in case one fails) and to provide the power needed for the high pressure nozzles
@@highvoltageswitcher6256 The RHTT trains sometimes do a circular tour, but often their route is out-and-back. The loco at the back becomes the loco at the front in the length of time it takes the driver to walk the length of the train, with no run around facilities needed. A lot of charter trains and often engineering trains have a loco both ends to avoid having to move the loco from one end to the other.
When in York Station, be sure to visit the York Tap, a most excellent watering hole, trackside, in the station!🍻
Great video. Dirty 37s with a great sound track. Subscribed.
Absolutely cracking car Dan. Fantastic find hope to see more 👍
WOW there's power for you. I think the driver was having a bit of fun with his controls there.
They are the best by a country mile & they still sound great even after many years of development 👍
Growlers love em.Hi from NZ
Amazing, the amount of "clag" that these RHTTs manage to shift - removing "any kind of leaves". Nice catch.
Excellent Footage mate Have Subscribed 👍
Cheers mate
Gorgeous
That’s Angela Rayner growling through York!
Great footage ❤️
Awesome footage
Fantastic snorting beast!
0:01 feathery commuter 😂

37's and 55's are my favourites.
Hardly taking the roof off. Barely opened up.
Get out
@ In English?
@@VictheSecret incorrect.
@@CDMtransport Clearly you've never seen a roof being taken off by anything.
@VictheSecret I have, the RHTT did it many times 😃😃👍👍
Let those Lions Roar,💯👌💪
No pigeons were harmed in this video by the looks.

Nice video! If this was the 19th, I caught it at York later on, nothing but noise from 422. It’s on my channel if you want to see
This indeed was, I caught it in the morning before heading out to the NRM.
@@chrisw_321Very nice!
Did he do that just for the camera
Hello, sorry for the late reply, indeed he did, all the York drivers are known for this as they are ‘Bashers’
I like the way tge rear loco is filthy but they have cleaned the logos

I don’t think so
@@cidertom5140I agree.... with him.
Nooooo Don't think so as someone else said .Dounbtful also .
I always thought Deltics sounded like lawnmowers 🤷♂️
@@maninacavePretty powerful lawnmowers I would say!
What cargo was being carried?
This isn't a cargo train, this is an RHTT, which uses high pressure water to get rid of leaves on the track, hope this helps! :)
