Finally, TH-cam recommended a pro-Trans video!
And not a single bigoted comment too!
lol i'm the exact opposite. youtube is recommending trans videos one after another and i'm either the biggest egg or i'm doing some real unbiblical hyperfixation
@@panicatthedm873 For me it was an unbiblical, innocent curiousity, then when I realized I actually might be trans I was like. Hold up. And then looked into it even more

"Higher chance of... breast cancer"
Well, according to all of the independent research I've performed on the topic as well as what I've learned from my ongoing college-level medical education, it's a lot easier to get breast cancer when you have breasts!
Nah, that sounds unrealistic
@@backhdlp
Strange but true!
Real
Actually, it's kind of a harmful myth that (cis) men are unable to get breast cancer.
It's certainly a lot more common in women than in men, but it is still quite possible, especially in older men.
@@Nikkidafox
That's why I said "It's a lot easier". Never said that breasts were mandatory for breast cancer to develop, just that they increase your chances.
Their really is a tier list for everything
Haven't foud a tier list for tier lists yet
@@noobgameplays3502 idk, but there is a top to list for top 10 top 10 lists, which is basically the rhetorical ancestor of the tier list
@@noobgameplays3502I’m pretty sure slimecicle has made a tear tier list though. Either slimecicle or brendaniel.
@@noobgameplays3502 there is plenty tierlist tierlists, and some people are planning to make tierlist tierlist tierlists

The only serious disagreement I have is on the morning erections. I HATED waking up with a hard on - and I'm thrilled that I don't have to wake up to that any more. So, decreased erections is SOLIDLY S-Tier for me, no two ways about it.
SOLIDLY
You know exercising is an easy way to get rid of an unwanted erection, right?
@@Iamlurking504 When I had an unwanted erection while I was awake, that was fine. Waking UP in the middle of the night with an erection? EXTREMELY unpleasant.
thought it was only me
I was bi before transitioning with a preference for women but now i prefer men. I think it is because of how men and women treat me differently.
Woah, this is a super interesting anecdote!
I never considered that the shift in sexuality that some trans people report could be due to social factors!
If you are comfortable sharing, how exactly do men and women treat you now, and how does that make you feel in regards to attraction?
Definitely one of those things where stuff varies for everyone.
Personally, I didn't experience any change in foot size or height. I kinda get the impression these are unusual things, but I'm no expert on that.
Breast development is definitely THE single most massive dysphoria-relieving thing I've experienced through HRT. It's shocking just how powerful that change was to my emotional well-being and my self esteem. I think my development trailed off somewhere between the 2 and 3 year mark, hasn't changed noticeably since
I'm... not about to openly discuss anything regarding sexual changes out on the web, but talking sensory stuff as a whole, I've noticed that sensory stuff is less simply focused to certain parts of the body- with increased sensitivity of my skin, a lot of things are more full-body experiences, like cuddling under a cozy blanket- it's a different sort of experience, and a welcome one.
Particularly in the earlier period when I was gradually ramping up the dose, and really hitting Puberty: The Sequel, the emotional stuff was INTENSE. Lots of mood swings. So much crying.
I've always felt emotions pretty strongly, and been pretty sensitive, but I think that on E, that stuff's gotten significantly stronger.
Body hair definitely thinned out. I'm not totally sure if it grows all that slow... I think it is slower than it used to be, but it still grows back at a decent pace. Something I didn't expect, was that now my body overall looks more right to me, body hair doesn't visually bother me as much as it used to- though I began my hormonal transitioning around the age of 14 or 15, and hadn't developed any real chest, back, or facial hair.
Skin softening is a sheer delight- the softness varies in places, but overall a fun development.
I did notice some changes in my orientation/sexuality... but a lot of these happened very gradually. In fact, some of them are as recent as this year. And well, I've been on E for quite a while now.
As someone who likes to have muscles, but doesn't do the whole "workin out" thing... yeah, the reduced muscle mass has been an unwanted change, but what can you do?
Haven't really noticed much difference in smell, but I don't really know how well I can even register that. I don't really feel like I can say for sure if the way I sweat has changed, it's hard to tell.
I haven't experienced period-like symptoms for the most part, but I suspect this may be related to how one takes hormones. I use patches, which I *think* are supposed to deliver a pretty consistent level of hormones. Hormonal changes, like, say, if I forgot to change my hormone patches for too long, can cause me to experience some symptoms that might be similar to period symptoms.
Regardless of what specific changes E has on someone, it can definitely have a dramatic impact on your life, and I suspect for most transfemme people, the trade-offs from running on estrogen aren't too bad.
I've had very little breast development after being a year and a half on e which makes me a little sad, so definitely mileage may vary thing.
@@MayW15663 My boobs have barely grown at all after about a year and a half on E but that might be because I literally already had C cups before even starting lol
i'm on T (nonbinary) and it's really cool to learn what kind of effects E can have on women and seeing opposite changes in myself
all the E effects sound like a nightmare to me 😅 and then I remember that’s what my body makes! oops, that’s how you know you are transgender…
@@nikk6435most of Es effects are things that I either wouldn't mind or would actively enjoy. That's part of the reason I realized I was trans
@@coderamen666 makese sense! amazing how it works for us and wishing you lots of trans joy 😊
Ok. I'm super hyped right now! HRT is f*cking magic! Nothing is below B-Tier!
Honestly yeah besides the muscle part which can stay in c. I'm an asexual as well so the sexual stuff being lowered is amazing
@@-gemma-6735 I'm bi but not being horny 24/7 is a very nice upgrade
@@-gemma-6735 I hate the muscle stuff, but it also kinda gives me euphoria, so my placement just is constantly spinning around the entire tier list
@@-gemma-6735 if you're asexual why would it need to be lowered?
@@djscratchcat474 being asexual is not about libido but about attraction
So an asexual person can have a body that is active, but it's not directed towards anyone
Being asexual myself I would definitely wish for it to lower because it's really annoying
My body hair hasn't gotten a lot thinner, but I thankfully made it to the 'hips get wider' boat. To be clear it's not dramatic but I've noticed it on myself. My hands and feet have shrank a little, went from a size 10.5 to 9.5 US women's. I also shrank roughly an inch. I sweat a lot less which is really cool. Body odor has gone down
It's all super interesting to look at, being pre-E
I really had no clue it could change stuff about your hands and feet, like how am I gonna wear my super cool shoes if my feet shrink ?
Seems unusual but I don't really want to shrink either, even though I'm 185cm (6"2 roughly)
But the sweat patterns changing ? That could be very interesting, I sweat in very impractical places so yeah
@@nessa-parmentierI think hands and feet shrinking is not common. My feet are still the same size, 10.5 in womens.
I dont think E really affects foot size. I think they end up squished into smaller sizes and just adapt
'i couldn't think of a good way to to it, so we're doing a really bad way.'
love this
Hey, if you ever figure out the "not understanding emotions" thing, let me know. Right now I'm feeling it's the dysphoria or a suspicion that I might be neurodivergent, like autism or ADHD.
am AuDHD, trouble understanding emotions is indeed a very common thing among our kind c:
there also is a huge corellation between being trans and being neurodivergent.
one could argue that being trans is a form of neurodivergence, too.
@@Orrphoiz There has been research on how Autism and being trans can overlap, I watched a video on it and it is what helped me crack my egg.
hello, as a neurodivergent with austism, dyslexia and presumably ADHD 100% follow your gut with it, more than likely you are Neurodiverse not only because there is an overlap in differing gender identity with autism i beleve its like 4x more likely for autistic people to be trans and vice versa but 100% get tested for at least one of them because if you are neurodiverse you'll gain even more insight as to who you are as a person 100% recomend.
For me it's definetily neurodivergence. I have AuDHD and working on these two has improved my connection to my emotions :D
this is called alexithymia
One time i was talking to a trans woman and one thing she said was “for the first year or 2 you look about 10 years older after that your like a baby you look so young” she was in her 40s and i thought she was about 25😅😂 so i suppose she was right about that lol😂😂
I’m not trans, yet TH-cam recommendations has brought me to this video at 2 in the morning. But either way this is still a good informative video.
cmon man you call this informative? what a load of bs
I read this as “I’m not trans yet, youtube reccomendations brought me…”

I used to be a pure straight white man. now I'm just a dirty trans girl :[@@Ciurk
muscle mass is another one of those, " use it or lose it" things. I was moving furniture daily and was a mechanic after that for some years and my strength didn't dwindle a whole until I stopped working manual labor jobs. Now, it's dropping fast, but I'm still plenty strong enough I feel like.
Having an existential crisis 😭
Man a lot of these sound great, better senses, reduced sweat, not feeling as hot (aka feeling more cold), softer skin, astronomically lower risk for hair loss, feeling more emotionally, not having so much fat go to your gut. I’m a bi man but seriously I think those are nothing but positives. I hate being sweaty and baldness scares me, no real downside to better senses, feeling emotions makes life feel meaningful, having a big gut makes me feel fatter than having big thighs or butt, fun fact lower center of gravity makes it easier to balance too, flexibility is cool, and while it does increase breast cancer risk it decreases risk of all other cancers and most diseases. Being able to cry more and it being more socially acceptable is a big one too.
Yeah height loss is great. I went from 5'6" to 5'3.5"
Bruh (respectfully)
so i don't know if u are or not, but this video felt very autistic coded, and i loved it (i am autistic). Also love the interactive yet informative video on HRT side effects.
everything is autism coated at heart
As a closeted trans girl, this is REALLY exciting, but also INTENSE!
I will be 20 months at the end of this month. My body hair has reduced a lot. My back used to be very hairy, now it is all completely gone or at least I can't see it anymore. A lot of hair on my upper arms and shoulders has vanished or turned completely white. Chest hair has thinned out a lot. Thigh hairs have reduced and thinned out. Hairs on my hands have turned transparent, can't see them unless the sun is shining on them at the right angle. Am nearly 50 and I don't like showing off my skin that much so when summer comes around I will probably just shave my chest and legs.
Remember, the body already has all of the 'instructions' to do these things. HRT just changes which instructions are prioritized (this is a simplification). Nearly all of these could probably be controlled individually if more research was put into it. (I just say "it", cause Idk where the barrier is. It could be in understanding the individual 'mechanisms' in the human body. It could be finding safe ways to manipulate those mechanisms. The problem could even just be in making it available to the public.)
I should mention, I am not a doctor or anything like that. I don't think I know a lot about how the human body works beyond what I have found through curiosity and school.
edit: (My point was that when the tech becomes available, we won't need a tier list.)
I think a tier list would still be made because you'd get to choose what effects you get so a tier list could indicate what's best to do. Especially if (because companies own the medical field in America to the detriment of 99% of the population) you pay per effect.
you couldn't decide between 1 super trans girl name or the other, so you chose both? based.
truly was not expecting to disagree so much
i think my list would be
S: breast growth, emotional changes, fat redistribution, un-baldness, reduced body hair, softer skin, sexual changes
A: pelvic widening, misc. size changes, misc. body changes
B: sensory changes
C: reduced virility, less morning erections, period symptoms
D: reduced genital size, reduced muscle mass, reduced sex drive
(i haven't personally experienced everything on the list, but everything is where it would be for me)
I think this is the same for me!
"It might decrese your height"
Verry torn about this because my height is 5'9 and while i would like to be smaller, 5'9 is 69 inches and im really immeture and i find thst funny, so while i would like to be shorter, ill loose the funny number

gosh I need hrt lol
That was really good. It really increased my understanding. Thanks for posting!!!
I read the title wrong and I thought you were gonna be ranking the different types of hrt. Tbh that world be a good video
I just CANNOT WAIT to finally be able to get it (first endo appointment in about a month)! Except for the period-like symptoms and loss of fertility, all of these effects are things I want and some I want really badly at this point.
This has been the best resource so far in my own journey contemplating taking E myself. Side note, that ffxiv scene got me too 😅
omg i love the lil images you made for this
Your pretty. Also, the hand pose when you first rolled up reminded me of the offer meme. "I receive: your subscription. You receive hrt information."
Also this made me want even more to get back on hrt, the loss of accessable medical care has sucked.
A really good vid, keep the good work. I really love your channel🌷
If you don't already stream you should!! I think you'd be great at it, and doing every single one like you made a joke about would make a pretty fun stream i think
Crying sucks, its great
Oh. My. God. Everything I learn knew about hrt just converts me more
This is one of the best videos on what to experience, tanx.
Commenting to boost engagement cause this is a great video
can confirm, estradiol valerate is the bees knees. I am quite literally, well, a woman. At least in look and shape.
at which age you've started? Have you noticed any changes on the hips bones? Like widening or rotation
FFXIV has made me cry so much. And I still haven't gotten on HRT, I'll be a blubbery mess after I start.
“Answers” has been breaking me ever since Carteneau and the shutdown of the 1.0 servers…
(Also, I know exactly the moment! Still hard to believe they just had him handing out the hard mode primal trials in 2.x )
I think a lot of cis women can open pickle jars these days too
or maybe they always could
it depends on what work they do a lot too. Like farmer/worker strenght is a real thing for women too. The women who do these jobs are so strong. They dont look strong they just are
We need to evolve more so that we don't need any body hair. At the very least though we should keep the hair on our heads.
I love this video, thank you so much Alice.
loved the video! i just started a week ago and I'm looking forward to almost all of these changes. btw you'ew reading off of the Gender Dysphoria Bible righth? I have memorized the estrogenic second puberty section lol i recognized it instantly

I'm really happy for you guys though, just wish i could have a bit of that happiness too
I'm a year and a half on hrt and still AA cups 😭
@iveliosxilosient ❤️
Oh damn this makes HRT 10 times better
since starting estrogen, the effects of alcohol on me has DEFINITELY increased.
A few of these things sound like they are not directly caused by the medication.
Like if people are reporting being less clumsy, it could be because they are more aware of their body, and having one's body change relatively fast might allow you to sort of re-tune your motor skills or something.
I think that whether each thing is caused by the medication directly or indirectly is an important distinction to make. Also, I'm not a neurologist, so I wouldn't know if my example is correct.
10:26 Didn’t know i could relate to something this hard 😭
i think that the thinner fingernails is awfully ironic as women are known for having longer nails, but mine have always had problems with breaking and theyve only gotten worse with that

as a guy who will probably never go on hrt or even itentify as a woman I find this interesting! as body adapts to different vitamins and chemicals.
good luck to others!
I honestly can't wait, my body is a fem sleeper build it just needs the meds rn
The walking thing my partner said that they thought I was walking just a little different and I was like hmm, but then didn’t think anything more of it but center of gravity and stuff that’s crazy
I was like 80% leaning towards guys 20% girls but after starting Hrt it shifted to more of a 60-40
I used to go to the gym and my muscles kind of looked ape like when in a short sleeve dress. Ideally I’d want them to shrink eventually but that can happen even without HRT over time I’ve been told.
your body size will NOT change noticeably with HRT.
What changes there are will be caused by fat redistribution.
Especially the feet getting smaller will be extremely limited, think a few millimeters at most unless you have feet that are extremely bloated from edema or fat buildup (which most peoples' feet aren't).
If you're just up from a smaller shoe size, that smaller size may now just about fit, but that's all you may expect.
Even without HRT that may happen naturally (and in case of edema can have very large temporary changes) due to environmental or dietary changes, or through disease or other medication that changes your body's water retention properties.
The shoe size thing is caused by muscle atrophy
If the person is under 25 and their bones hasn't fused yet wider hips are a possibility.
Actually it can sometimes. Intervertebral discs can be affected by HRT and can get thinner on E/thicker on T which leads to small changes in height
@@titush.3195 you're talking millimeters at most here.
@@jwenting No, it depends. Since humans have 23 discs minor changes in the thickness in the order of only fractions of millimeters can result in not insignificant changes in height
You are so fricking cute.
can relate to fingernail thing I cannot stop chewing them no matter how hard I try
how do you keep headphones with hairs on?
Loss of morning wood is S tier for me, that shit is painful.
anyone knows if the pelvic widening and femur rotation actually happens if you start hrt as a young adult (like 23yo)?
yes i dunno science but you get more fat in the hips and boobs
also you can shrink which is awesome
From my interpretation, there's some effect, primarily in the widening part, if your pelvis has already fused. The rotation mostly happens if it hasn't fused yet and the widening goes further. The time the pelvis fuses, the difference between the outcomes, varies greatly, and can go up to 25 yrs/old.
To simplify, at 23 you'll probably get the partial effect, but you could get the full thing depending on your specific biology and timings. If you're too late for the full effect, most of what happens would be the widening rather than the rotation.
That wasn't very simplified, looking back.
To give a simple yet (to me) unsatisfactory answer, maybe.
And to restate: that was my interpretation, and I by no means guarantee accuracy.
@@azareii oh it wasn't too complicated at all! Thanks, I do like to gather other ppls interpretations, since even doctor will disagree alot on these things.
im only 2 months in and started growth 2 weeks in o.o
They look like Roblox badges😂
The only disadvantage is loss of muscle mass, tbh because I like lifting things with ease
Double edged sword for me. I want to be strong but I also want to be a twig.
Most of these I completely agreed with lol
However I still have yet to get the medication 😭
can confirm. i'm nearly 6 months in, HRT really is magic
my body hair doesn't really grow at all, i think i sweat a lot if it is warm or humid, lately any sad thoughts have me breaking down crying (almost), also I tend to have laughing fits at stupid sh*t. nothing comes out when i ejaculate, the tiniest amount of clear fluid will, boobs have grown and also more fat on thighs and hips (not as much as I'd like), I am trying to get orchi thru insurance hopefully will have that soon, can't wait to see the difference orchi makes, skin seems different, morning wood is rare
I want to be shorter. Also colder. Also less oily
OK so like so I feel safe sharing this hear like a safe space but any way just starting my joumer Yasse Mtf transition but omg girl I feel ya an soo excited but like it's crazy how since I'm expressed myself an watching ya vids I relate but like I've been getting quotes on quote goddess universe signs an happy I am now like I feel everything ya say sister especially from 14mins to 18mins girl yass.
An also all the changes ya Mettion I kinda really feel with out even starting the meds girl # always moisture twice a day
Lower center of gravity you say? SO that means I'll handle better in the corners :D
I actually really liked the reduced sex drive. It was really cool not being horny as much as I was. I'm back to being horny again (but weirder and somewhat more frequent) and I actually like how it feels now it used to feel weird.
Whats apening to my TH-cam recomendation 😂
But I like it
I didn't know having a smaller... could make surgery less effective... now I'm sad because that means it'll be not that good, especially since I got a circumcision... so like... well unless I'm missing something here... I hope I'm wrong...
This was next to npesta in my recommended.
ive been on estradiol valerate IM, spiro and finasteride for two years and i cant say i even see anything different about myself other than my boobs that are barely past budding. my levels are good.. i still get he/him in public even with makeup on. it feels like it started working then juts stopped. nothings happening for me. i dont understand i just want to give up.
not sure whats happening
So I'm not on HRT... but I somehow got a few of these effects. Like the moodiness, an amount of muscle loss, more emotional, softer skin, period-like symptoms, and minor breast growth. Super fun actually, though it's a bit confusing. I can say that the breast growth pain was manageable, but just a little uncomfortable from my experience. Again, not on HRT, so I don't know where this is coming from, but my doc got me set up for bloodwork to figure it out, so... slay haha.
I'm not a biologist and have no knowledge in the area so this is simply the theorizing of the uneducated, but my theory is that perhaps your psychological state and/or sense of self prompted your body to produce estrogen on its own. This hinges on your physical birth gender being male and your mental/real/whatever-the-right-term-is gender being female, which is purely my inference as you did not state in your comment.
I really should reduce the rambling in my comments. All of that for one mostly unfounded theory that boils down to "your brain controls your body."
@@azareii It's definitely possible, I just see it as being a little less likely because if people could wish themselves to switch genders, there would be a very different medical system around it.
I think you are diagnosed with gynecomastia.
intersex mb?
@@ffffff6104 Oooh, maybe. I'd honestly be pretty happy with that, even though that sounds weird. I'm actually waiting for the word on that from the doc...
Im currently considering if Im trans and all of this sounds great except the loss of fertility (I might want kids on day, but freezings an option), and debatably the muscle loss, as I like having strength for self-defence and such but at the same time I am broad and it helps in passing more feminine to lose some of that.
Only true downside to me us actually that it does not change the voice much for m2f, but maybe someday...
emotions do change when you get on it (they did for me as well, drastically even) but internally i still think there's something social going on there and not something of natural character. there has to be a social causation for these things. anyway very nice video, it's nice to not see anti-trans nonsense on the recommended feed for once
