Well, it's really not that mind blowing because most of Spider-Man's villains are green or have green in their designs, as well as purple.
Green Goblin: Green/purple
Doc Ock: Green/yellow
Lizard: Green (sometimes purple pants)
Vulture: Green
Electro: Green/yellow
Scorpion: Green
Classic Jackal: Green
Mysterio: Green/purple
Sandman: Green shirt
Chameleon: often depicted in green
That's because Spider-Man's red and blue color scheme complement the use of green, and red/blue contrasting against green/purple looks very eye-catching and has been used in comics for some time now. Take Batman and Robin against the Joker, for example. Batman for a while had a prominently blue-highlighted suit while his sidekick had primarily red on his costume, and they fight against the Joker who had a purple jacket as well as a green shirt and hair. Keep an eye out for this use of colors in the future, you might be surprised by how common it is ;)

I recall seeing this movie 10 times in the theatre. It reignited the same feelings I had when I first started reading Spider-man in the early 80’s. The technology has improved to make the character look more realistic, but these movies felt more like the character I was reading. There was so much weight to him that the reboots haven’t gotten (MCU Spidey: Stark shouldn’t be the Uncle Ben stand in).

Another Easter Egg I saw while re-watching recently: In Osborne’s study there’s a bunch of masks everywhere from other cultures around the world displayed as art prices.
Yeah one of the masks at the 1:35:54 mark is a rendered model of Fin Fang Fool’s head which is one of Marvel’s villains.

In the Arrowverse, there are a lot of Spider-Man references. Barry comments that his “spidey-senses are tingling” way off the charts, Jax believed that Martin Stein was going to give him powers that were similar to Spider-Man, Elongated Man calls a hologram of The Thinker “Doc Ock” and Cisco quotes, “He’s dealing with a mad man who’s machinations are warping his brain, have you not seen ‘Spider-Man 2’?”

You forgot to mention at the end when MJ and peter have their final kiss, she touches her lips and seems a bit confused. This is because she recognizes the kiss she had with ‘Spider-Man’ earlier in the movie for the first time. It is also said, this is when she had a clue that peter was Spider-Man 👍🏼

3:09 I'm not sure if this is just a film error or not, but the cable above his hand is silver, and below is red. I always saw this as Peter's hand bleeding and transferring to the cable as it slid down his hands. Bleeding either from his fight, or from the jagged wires of the cable itself.
Peter's pushing through, sacrificing his own blood to make sure everyone gets down safely.

These movies along with the first X-Men series really developed the template for the modern superhero movie, and I’m really thankful for that.
YAY! I grew up with these movies, but not in theaters. I would always play with the toys from them with my brother, and it really made my childhood. Excited to see you do a breakdown of this!
I always loved Osborne's, "oh..", moment. Those are probably my favorite, "well, I'm dead" type of lines.

I like to think that the reason JJJ doesn’t sell out Peter is that he himself has a son just a little older than Peter so maybe JJJ actually cares about Peter which is why he continuously gives him work even if its not much money.

I wonder, has anyone else thought that the "color changing" on the spiders could be a nod to Miles Morales because this was one of his powers. I don't know how this would work because Miles didn't make his comic debut until later but it is an idea.

9:35 Bruce Campbell also plays the tutorial voice over guy in a few of the Spiderman video games from the early-mid 2000s. If you haven't heard him in them, I highly recommend looking up the opening tutorial in the 'Spider-Man' movie video game from 2002. He's really funny and sassy, even breaking the 4th wall at times. At one point he even leaves you alone to go make himself a ham sandwich. It's good stuff.

Another Easter egg: when Peter comes down the stairs after he gains his powers, if you look above the stairs you can see Uncle Ben’s bowling trophies, which was also shown by Martin Sheen’s Uncle Ben in ASM 1.

Let's be 100p honest, that third movie is not as terribly bad as we remember thinking it was just because everyone else said it was.

Actually want to point out, that red and black suit drawing that you mentioned would become the black suit he laters has in 3, that same design was what actually inspired the black suit design itself, after marvel bought it from a fan as a reward. The level of references goes deep here
