Once your ready to us the eggs, the solution won’t change the flavor of the egg?
I'd like if you keep doing these kind of videos. You're a legend Tim. God bless.
Going over some herbal medicines would be really neat!
Indigenous medicine would be a great subject since NONE of us can trust the government anymore. How did the native Americans treat fatty liver disease or kidney disease for examples.
Tim, don't delete my comment. Are you an American, or not? Are you against American civilians owning guns, or not?
A trained assassin teaching us about egg preservation. The internet is wild.
What a time to be alive lol
Dude was defending our country, fighting in the ufc, and now shows us how to preserve eggs
Tim is literally that one uncle at thanksgiving, that has done everything and has a story to it
😂😂😂😂
Merica! Land of the Free, from the home of the brave :) A lot of grace from Tim to offer so much expertise to anyone willing to learn :)
Most guys in special operations know a lot about food preservation, and survival.
@@TimkennedyMMA Any recommendations on good books or resources for food preservation? The whole attack on meat with 130 countries now agreeing to work toward meat substitutes is just all the obvious expletives...trying to plan ahead as meat costs are set to skyrocket over the next few years due to this, want to learn much and pronto. And sincerely...so much respect and thank you for your service and who you choose to be...from a Brother in Christ.
Well I didn’t think I would learn how to preserve eggs at home from Tim Kennedy today but here we are.
EGG-ZACTLY 🤣😂
I have lots of skills 😂
@@TimkennedyMMA CAN CONFIRM
Guess what? You can dip eggs in mineral oil for preservation, and then store them at room temperature for more than 3 YEARS! seriously, it works. They stay liquid, and don't go bad. I made eggs and bacon this morning, from 1 year old eggs left in the pantry of my house, no refrigeration! Awesome vid, Tim!
This is exactly why I’m on TH-cam on a Friday afternoon.
The last I expected when I opened TH-cam today was to watch Tim Kennedy teaching me how to preserve eggs. Makes me want to raise my own chickens. 😅
Something that I do is when I buy a jar of pickles, then finish the pickles, I hard boil eggs, crack the shells, then dump them into the jar of leftover pickle juice. It's a great snack and tasty to boot! Love the channel, Tim!
This is one of many things that you learn growing up in the south. 🇺🇸✊🏼
We add a 40 watt lightbulb to our chicken coop in the fall and winter, inside. We make sure to place it away from their roosting area so they can rest. The shorter daylight hours can be extended that way until 9 P.M.We put it on a timer so it shuts off. Works great for keeping up winter egg production. We also feed higher protein during and after they start the mounting season. Good show.
i dont get it, what is lightbulb used for? to help with heating?
Appreciate it Tim. In times like these, helping each other is crucial. You never fail to deliver. Doesn’t matter if it is in the octagon or in the kitchen. Salute Sir 🫡
My wife and I have been doing these kinds of things for preparation/self sufficiency. Awesome content man keep up with this kind of stuff. Lots of respect for this
I'm happy to learn from people who have more life experience. Always a nice thing to see.
Your measurements are wrong. You said 1 table spoon per quart. You had half a gallon of water and you used 6 tablespoons.
He wanted to show off that he could count to six.
Barely@@MyMW3Channel
Thought I was the only one who noticed!
Ya, that damn Mandela effect…I thought there was 4 Q’s on the Gallon guy.
Three tablespoons per quart, 4 quarts in one gallon and he used two quarts of water; that means 3 tablespoons for quart one, three table spoons for quart two; a total of six tablespoons. Watch the video again, listening and comprehension is a thing. lol
Tim - I love this kind of content and knowledge transfer from you. Be well!
Super awesome info. I remember my mom doing this when I was young and never remember how or to start doing it myself. You just filled the gaps, thank you sir!!
Thanks for doing this video Tim.
One of the most interesting thing’s I’ve picked up from the channel.
You mean one of the most interesting things you've pickled up? 😁
Love the new content Tim keep it up me and the family are following along
Thanks for the reminder to keep it family friendly. I’m often a live wire.
Awesome video, thanks Tim!
You are welcome!
Hey Tim do more videos like this please. Enjoyed this one ☝️
I finally found a place locally to get clean unwashed eggs. They taste great! This video helped me to stay on top of my supply just in case. Thanks!
Mind blown!!! Heading to the farm today to get eggs!!!
Hey Kennedy TH-cam is not allowing me to get alerts from you're channel it's so weird saya kid content, love you're work ❤ keep it up
Need more videos from you like this tim
When I move to NC, I'm getting chickens and watching this video again. Never hurts to have extra food!!!
Great info!
Good information. Thanks Tim.
Another one . Hunter of men. Incredible.
I'm so stupidly excited to try this!
A great educational video. Thank you. 👍
Never knew about this. Thanks Tim.
endless knowledge being shared thanks for the content 👏🏼
My pleasure!
Very insightful blessings brother
Tim is the best, it’s just a fact
You can do this with food grade buckets. Don’t use clear glass jars. Donut shops are a good place to find used 3 and 5 gallon food grade buckets for cheap or free. You can fill up the bucket with your hydrated lime solution and add eggs every day until it’s full.
There is something Bob Ross style about having a well trained and experienced in certain dark arts, give a lighthearted cooking class on egg preservation. Indeed true it was common household practice in my parents' childhood sixty to seventy years ago, before homes here had electricity and refrigerators.
Amazing! Had no idea you could do this!
Try it
Tim you are the bomb. Great example for people
Nature is amazing. It gives us everything we need.
Thank you for your information.
I bought a freeze dryer to store some foods long term. Raw egg powder is one of my go-to things.
Genius Food Prepper Stuff! God Bless You My Brother! 🙏✝️🤴👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Never knew this!! Awesome!!! Thx Tim!
Happy to help!
You are right about the information gap in generations. And i also think that covid, as horrible as the whole thing was, opened alot of eyes to gardening, food preservation, and animal husbandry. And i love it.
Awesome info
That entrance was something haha
All jazz hands 👐
Tim is an interesting person, green beret, ufc fighter, homesteader, educator, pickler.
Against the second amendment 😂 yeah very interesting 😄
Thanks Tim, I've been wondering how to do that and all the videos I've watched haven't given the details. 😉 👍
Please more videos like this Tim
I raised chickens. White leghorns and had to give eggs away because I always had too many. Love it.
Thank you.
I’ve never heard of that before and I never thought I’d hear about it from a green beret mma badass!!
With the store bought eggs just coat with a light layer of mineral oil. Use powder free plastic gloves. I've had eggs last easily 10 months in the refer. To test to see if they're good, just place them in a glass of water. If the sink they're good, if they float they're bad.
I have never tried this but I’ll give it a whirl
Side note: Farm eggs are good on the counter for up to 3 months. Wash them and they’re good in the fridge up to 3 months.
Other than that, this is a very informative video and keep up the great work sir!
why would you wash eggs? also, if farm fresh eggs last that long, why do the farms/companies refrigerate them?
@@waqqodonkey Not sure about the farms/companies. I wash them if they’re poopy and it helps me keep them in rotation. I also eat three raw eggs every morning (4 if I’m working outside or hunting). Swallowing cold, raw eggs makes them go down easier than when they’re warm. Too much like phlegm.
Restored my faith in youtube thanks Tim.
I have NO faith in any tech company especially social media platforms.
@TimkennedyMMA well same I guess haha. Good to see you doing these videos I'm here for it. Better?

Wuuuun, tooooo, threeeee, counting with Tim is fun kids😂
@Havasu79. Spelling lessons will be in another video ... Twooooooo
Yes, definitely want more of this stuff. Where should someone go to get started?
Good info
Love this. Big egg guy here
Digging this TK home EC edition. Would to hear any tips for preserving meat after a successful hunt.
Mate, would love as many of these prepping tips as.tou can give me (I'm stuck in Australia)
Great info. Only thing I would have liked in addition was seeing what eggs look like after they've been preserved and how you can use them.
Saw you on Shawn Ryan Show,, which is why I jumped to watch this video! Like how you're right to the point without dragging the training out. Keep up the good work!!😁👍
Welcome aboard!
Good stuff
Appreciate it
Eggcellent

Very helpful video Tim, thank you! It would be great if you made a video on your favorite way to cook eggs
How do you know they are happy chickens- ???luv it a lot of eggs.😂
This is very helpful. I've wasted so many eggs.
Does it matter if eggs that might be fertilized? I've noticed they go bad quicker. Wasn't sure if that could compromise the process.
Thank you for sharing this. My only question is how long are the eggs good once you open the jar for the first time?
Do more stuff like this and talk about hownlong things should last
Good Vid Tim Thanks.
Are they only good for baking and cooking? Or are they good for poached and scrambled eggs?
I poach 4 eggs every breakfast with out fail unless I’m
Not home.
We freeze some of our farm eggs. Keen to try this.
What do you feel is better when canning... pressure cooker or water bath? I've never done it yet, but will want to as I have a huge garden growing. Thank you!
Dope shirt ngl 😂
This guy is the ultimate bad ass navy seal. Love this!
Except he wasn't in the Navy
@jetertebow my mistake. I know he was, special forces, though, not navy seal is all. He still a bad ass.
Great book too...Scars and Stripes
When you are ready to open the jar do you have to take all of them out or only what you need?
Tornado/Hurricane season in Texas is pretty much here already how about some storm prepping vids 🤔🙂
More pepper vids please!
Pretty cool Tim, but does the pickling solution change the taste of the eggs?
Tim Kennedy is a blessing to us all, hell yeah fellow American.
Could you also do this with store bought eggs for long term storage?
What in Betty Crocker hell??? But for real, great content!
Would you pull a few eggs out a time for use or do you empty the entire jar?
I have the same question.
I would do it one by one and be very careful with taking the eggs out. Dont empty the entire solution at once as it might cause eggs to move around and crack due to the weight of all the eggs.
@@TimkennedyMMA thanks for the reply. I will order this pickling lime and give this a shot. I often pickle eggs but this seemingly last way longer. Appreciate it.
I shared this video with my mom because she always complains in winter when she has to buy eggs and she has over 40 chickens that don't lay during that time.
Happy winter chickens:
-6-8 hours outside scraping.
-Lots of left over scraps for them to eat.
-Good protectors around them(dogs)
-Plenty of water.
-Kids playing with them.
-good feed.
-heating lamp.
So after 6 mos when i want eggs.... what do i do with all of em? Rinse and use immediately? Can i use a few at a time out of the jar or do u have to use em all and how long do they stay good after u crack the jar open a year later?
A UFC Fighter / Special Forces Killer is teaching the world how to Glass Eggs... I like to think nothing catches me off guard but yeah Tim doing a HOW TO on Glassing eggs was not on my 2024 Bingo Card 🤣
Right! We're all here for it
Got the tactical and gardening down,. Just need to get some chicks going 🐣
That’s actually pretty cool 😎… great video
Mine were still good after 16 months. Don't wash your eggs. You should fill about 1-2" above the eggs. It will form a shell over the eggs and keep the air out.
So how do you get them out safely
Do you just use them a few at a time and the other ones are just fine after opening the jar over and over .
I only have 3 chickens. So we just run out of eggs in the winter. But I live in Southern California so that only lasts like 2 months
Don’t let Andy Stumpf know you’re preserving eggs.
Thanks Tim!! Store in a cool dark place. What would be the upper end of “cool” place?
Thank you sir!!
Will Tim address the ratio mistake in a future video? Time will tell 😅
Question for anyone that does this: is there any flavor change/difference between the stored eggs and the fresher eggs?
When you need a couple eggs out of it, do you just grab a few and put the jar back or do you have to use all of them??
Maybe it's just that wild American in me, but I can steal those green beret eggs. I don't steal eggs but. The ultimate challenge. I got this😁
Once you open the jar again to use the eggs do you have to refrigerate them?
