@ it was released without his permission. Basically it's a leaked bootleg. When it first came to light the playback speed was faster than intended as well, which is why the pitch needed correcting

Musically, it's basically the first draft of Galesburg, with a lot of the same chord progressions and guitar parts. I think that's why he didn't release it.

Well although that is true to some extent like with most artists not every mountain goats album has the exact same sound and feeling
