I’m sorry, in some cases this can be true. Not every office is a good fit. You can find really great dentists to work for though. Wish you the best of luck. 💕
I was in oral surgery for under a year.felt like highschool but worse cause there’s no graduation coming to save you... so i said DEUCES. Y’all can eat each other up. Lol
It would be very hard looking up peoples noses all day. I always trim my nose hair and make sure the inside is clean before going to the dentist. On my way to the dentist I have a breath freshener. I am a 66 year old guy and if I had my time over again I would like to work as a dental assistant. I think that it would be a life time of good steady work. Thank you for this great video.
I'm a male and I'm currently going to school to become a dental assistant, it's a year long program in metro Detroit and my school is the #1 place offices call when looking for new employees, however, most of my classmates are women, and the other men dont really show up or take things seriously. Essentially what I want to say is I'm worried that males wont hire me because they have an ego problem and want to be the only male/alpha male, and I'm worried that females won't hire me because they might feel like having a male in the office might make the other girls uncomfortable?
Robby Saturn same here am thinking about doing this but not many male rda's but i feal the same about all this i feal like guys dont have a chance a girl will always be more superior or more trust worthy or should i say comfurting its the shitty society we live in people wanna put geneder bounderies.
I would tell you one thing I honestly wish to see more male assistants in the field, it would be so refreshing. During my time in school, I would hear the other girls say this as well. The program I was in only had 10 students ( all of them being women) simply because 18 of them dropped out before the program even started. Even then I wished just one of the 10 that continued with the program were male. 😢 To me it just balances things out. I would say not to worry, there is always a place for a male assistant, especially in a hospital setting, or your local community health center. Now I'm not sure what your decision was since your post was a while ago, but I wish you the best of luck and do hope everything worked out.
Thank you for making this video! I'm starting Dental Assistant school after being a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) for 8 years. I'm SO excited about it! I can't wait to get started and working in this new field!
Thanks so much for the video. I'm on the fence about going into this profession. It helps me get some perspective. Really appreciate your input and just informing the field 😁🥰
I have a pt with a Wharton's gland like a literal water faucet. She spits all over herself and me and the dentist during a procedure which makes isolation extremely difficult, shes got tori, oh she's a gagger and high strung 😂😂
after 20 years of oral surgery and dental assisting im paid horribly, treated worse and now seen as a liablitly by Drs becasue i know to much. Writing a book on this subject immediatly. Dont waste your life like me, do ANYTHING else
I’m done with dental assisting. I’ve only been in the field 4 years and I’m over it. You’re overworked and very under appreciated.

Hey was it easy for you to get a job?
I finished the program and absolutely HATED everything about dentistry. So, I decided not to pursue it. How about you??
@@gigirucci I’m just thinking about getting into it
Btw I have a cna certification as well but I haven’t looked for a job yet

Hey great video, Any advice on Male dental Assistants? Would it be harder for a male to find a job?
@@CircularsTV No. Absolutely not. You have no competition.
