fun fact: the guardian shield is the best (fastest) shield you could use for surfing!

It and the radiant shield have the lowest friction in the game, so pair that with rain and shield surfing and you get to feel like sonic

Technically for the fastest surfing you want the radiant shield, but it’s only about 5% faster than the ancient shield, but worse in terms of durability, having lower base durability and taking more damage from surfing. Overall the ancient shield is the best shield for surfing.
