Can't believe I missed this. Damit
Greg is a legend. Well done peach guitar love this guy
Gutted I missed him I've been watching for 10+ years.
He's superb.
Greg Koch plays incredibly amazing slide! Whaaat??? Never seen that before in any of his many videos!
Is there any way to photo shop Jack,so he looks larger? This is bordering on Gulliver's Travels With Guitar.
He is a crazy genius - would love to see him live. Thanks for this video!
If you have a Reverend Guitar dealer near you, ask them to get in touch with Ken Haas and see if they would do a clinic for your music shop. It is astounding to see him in person playing. And he is super nice guy to chat with. Very humble and down to Earth.
When are you doing the Reverend demos?
Dug it all as per yooge...But slidery workage at end was of course Koch-alishish...
plus...I've been a Fishman Fluence user for going on 2 years;they are in fact all that and a pallet of chips.
AWESOME!!!
Really enjoyed this! Greg is wonderful as a player and just generally as the personality that we all know and love.
I will say this though, the Jason Smith Strat sounded "better" more open, more vintage.... The Fishman equipped Strat sounded great, but not quite as tasty. Although I do realise in a live situation with lights, volume, monitors and an audience who can't tell the difference? The Fishman are the more practical option.
Great video :-)
Gary Moseley I wonder how the Fluence would sound in the fender masterbuilt though...
@@PeachGuitars Yeah I did think that. The price difference between the Mexican Strat+Fishman and the Masterbuilt must still be £4000 is it?
Dare you to put them in and film a before and after....... ;-)
@@PeachGuitars In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "DO IT, DO IT NOOOOOOOOWWW!" :-D
So I buy a set of fishman pickups stick them In a cheap Mexican strat and I've got something akin to a CS masterbuilt strat........ erm yeah so all those guys that said the masterbuilt stuff is massively over priced will be feeling quite smug right about now 😁😁
Rippin' it. Hell Yeah.
holy mother of kravitz that Vibroverb sounds amazing
great playing Greg Koch......on the guitar with the dots
i have been watching greg on wildwood vids for 10 years I HAD NO IDEA HE PLAYED COUNTRY...seriously from 9 minutes in the vid here was jerry reed chet mason gatton level if not higher!!!
That tune he is playing a 9:00 is called "Spankin' It" and is one of his originals.
Yellow Strat sound a bit better , but not bad.
Koch is a wizard!
Gutted I missed it. 😔
It's mad watching and amazing guitarist watch another amazing guitarist in wonder. Fantastic stuff
His right hand muting while playing slide... damn I'm jealous.
the acoustic guitar sounds like an acoustic guitar.....that is good
.....the pickups are good ....very good ....a milesone .....but .....the wood .....the original have the better wood.....and you hear it ...!!
OMG...as usual.
.....but it is ok....one can live with it
I'm surprised mfgs aren't using this tech. Seems like Fender could scrap their noiseless efforts and make a fortune with these things.
Note to Jack, don't pick up Greg's habits. He's a great player, but he often plays almost cartoonishly. One zaney player is enough. Please keep doing Jack.
Alnico forever.. Never active.... Good sound, no soul..
lol the mexican strat killed the jason smith overpriced bloated geeetarr hahaaaaa yahooooooooo
No it didnt mate the overbloated guitar sounds like a strat the other one just sounds cheap and sqishy yuk..which Greg likes right!
Doesn't even know what he's playing...funny guy tho
Greg Koch is one of the most interesting guitar players I've ever met. The first time I met him was in a small bar and he was playing what I want to hear. As a transplant from upstate NY, at the time I had no idea where anything was in Wisconsin and was fortunate enough to have stumbled upon Greg's performance. The last time I met Greg I was able to shake his hand and thank him. He responded with "thank me, for what"? I replied with, "for what you do". He is a humble giant. Once again I ran into Greg, he was crossing the street with a cup of coffee in his hand and a smile that gave me the impression that he was content with life. Every time I've seen Greg was by chance, let's hope 2020 is a good year for chance.
