Using that Salon 40, use a UV light to shine on the thing you want to whiten up.

Canopy glue is generally just overpriced PVA(Elmer’s/school glue). I buy it for canopies myself though 😂 tbh though it was more of a convenience buy then anything else.

Also watching you cut the canopy, you should look into getting a razor saw. The blades are fairly pricey at $15 for 5 blades but a damn fine tool for doing micro work. They are double sided, basically just a safety razor blade but serrated instead of straight. Theres also a handle to hold them if you don’t want to hold with your fingers, that’s only about $10 and a one time buy so may be worth it to you.

Yeah i always had great results with it. Really depends on how much uv you get to make it work that well

Looking good! The purist trolls will tell you that the parts will re-yellow and become brittle. They are wrong. I have some Mego Micronaut MEL parts from the 70's. Use to be white but yellowed over time. I use this same process. Turned them bright white and did NOT make them brittle. This was about 20 years ago. Still white and still NOT brittle.

Totally agree with you. Either they are doing something wrong or just haters. Either way, that's why i called this channel our toys, our rules restoration.

@@ourrulesrestoration8150 Forgot to mention; Love your channel! Also I still have my Tomahawk with box. I had just got married in 1988. My Wife got it for me for Christmas that year. She has always been good to me.
