Great Video Sandy. Yeah, having a good return is very important. I'm always a little bit hesitant to play a chiquita because it can be a risky shot specially if the server is fast. A wrong chiquita can be a gift to the opponent as an easy volley. A flat return is my go to shot for a first serve. Second serve usually a lob is the way to go.
    Keep it up!!!!

I love hitting aggressive returns but my partner thinks I miss too many and should be more cautious. When I make it, the return puts us in a good posiiton but how many missed returns are too many?

Risk vs Reward....better to not miss any returns and have no winners than to have amazing winners but miss half the returns!

    Great video!
I am curious should you have some back in the Chiquita to make it stop a little if it hits the ground or is good to hit a Chiquita with a flat hit with no or less spin either top or back spin? Or is it only the ball path that is important?

It would be more unconsistent and if u would not use back it could hit more to the legs of ur oppnent which would be harder to return

@@iwarolofsson5384 Ah ok thanks! Will think of that and try to use it next time I play.👍

I (beginner) am having some difficulty with shot selection. I play vs a lot of other beginners who will often give me easy volleys somewhere half-back of my box. But i often try to either hit it flat just over the net or attempt to slice which i find very hard to do when the ball comes from very high.
Can you give me some advise on what shot to practise in this situation? Smashing seems risky with the length to the net.

I would work on your direction - trying to play the ball so they have to play after the side glass or the fence or right down the middle between the players hitting the back glass (softly if you can).
