It's beautiful and so scale. For me it's not an everyday driver for sure but I'd still love one.

I’m liking the scale. The realism is outstanding. Front suspension. The opposing rear shocks. Agree with you that a Rc with such detail should have more metal parts stock.
A little more metal would be great, but not a deal breaker. Good truck!

I was really longing for an electric Terrano! There are some new in box on Ebay now. Around 3500 dollars for a Terrano/Pathfinder. The 4Runner is about the same. The Pajero is a tiny bit cheaper :P

It's not for everyone, but gives me the right chassis for another project!
Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but I use some small tools from Whia which are really nice and not too expensive. I have some small nut drivers down to 2.5mil and up in .5 mil increments. Should be available on amazon. They're great tools and good quality! The ball head hex drivers are great but are the only Whia tool I've run into that wear out. Hope that helps.

Damn. I’m sorry I missed the live stream. That would have been a good venue to ask your opinion on Cross RC. I’m a big fan of my SG4C and really like the look of the new SP4C.

On those trucks, the latch for the back door are on the inside front edge....front door has to be opened first to get into the back seat area.(on the real truck)

Quite the truck!
I had to dremel the wheels off. I Cut them completely off the tires and rims are in the trash. Once off I can use a hex for all 12 mm rims
4mm bolt turned down worked out perfectly, and nothing destroyed!
can you tell me if the extra speed jeep body fits on the scx10 11 fram without a lot of modifications

The door handles for the rear doors are on the inside when you open the front doors, silly. It's an extended cab, not crew cab. lol

@@scalebuildersguild I borrowed a Tundra with suicide doors. The term would suggest something quick and painless, but I did not find them as such.
Love the plastic comments :P What is not plastic on a stock Axial, Venture or any other truck? This makes Axial look bad. Super plasticy truck with a boring Lexan shell for the same price. This has an molded super detailed ABS body, lockable diffs and much more components in the front thanks to the IFS. Love it!
This is as close to a modern Tamiya CC-02 we'll probably ever get . A REAL scale truck. Not a "scale" truck that is just a long wheelbase monster truck with a gear reduction.

still going to watch, but I think I seen enough on another unboxing to know that something felt off and wasn't as well built as I had hoped for the dollar amount.
It's actually built very well. I'd highly recommend this for it's intended purpose.

I have a question for you. I saw a video about crawler shocks. One of the comments said that shocks should not extend without springs after being compressed. Is that true? If so, why? I am asking you this because i would like to learn the proper way to set up crawler shocks. My ‘guy’ at my local hobbyshop is saying that shocks without springs should extend fully after being compressed.... My own theory is that the damper of a shock should work against the spring when the spring wants to extend after being compressed. But how should a shock behave?....should the spring ‘pull’ out the shaft? I have build my trx-4 shafts by following the instructions that came with the trx-4 kit. The result was that the shocks did not fully extend after being compressed without springs. So, i hear and experience different theory’s....do you have the correct answer? I hope that you can help me out... If you are in doubt, or don’t know the correct answer either, please say so.
I already have an answer.
I don't know about fully extend, but there should be some push out of the shaft from the body during assembly. Follow the instructions as per the manufacturer is usually the best bet. Under weight of the vehicle, there's no way the shaft will fully extend without the spring. I doubt that there's also a correct answer. Sorry I couldn't help more!

Why? They didn't make this to be a crawler.
Scale Builder's Guild no but they did intend for it to be a SUPER scale raptor therefore needs a proper scale suspension set up so u can at least do some lower speed scale jumps

It's not even close to too expensive. It's like when people were whining about the Origin... Ugh
I think most of the cost is associated with the body. It's pretty darn great. That and the IFS.
If this had been an RCModelex kit it would have cost alot more. The It might have been a bit nicer in the moldings and such - and those plastic bed supports might have been metal. But it would have been around 6-700 dollars. And still no lockable diffs :P
And now I saw that RCModelex have made a kit with the LC70... Damnit was thinking of saving up to this.. :P
I love my trucks, cars have headlights and backlights. It doesn't make no sense I paid "$400 add dollars" for this truck. It doesn't worth it to me. I rest my case
You need to make a case first. This is a pretty accurate platform, headlights included or not. Not much else on the market can compete with this level of detail for the price.
