    They sure don't have interviews on TV like this anymore. Woody and Dick were good friends. Marshall Brickman is in the credits as creative director. He later wrote Annie Hall with Woody.

    I wish Cavett was still interviewing. Every time I try watching Charlie Rose, I get so frustrated and aggravated with his impulsive interruptions, and non-stop blathering, and I invariably think of Cavett, and how terrific he was.

    His description of how people laugh at him no matter what he does, reminded me of the danish comedian, Dirch Passer.
    A guy who was so loved by all of his fans that they could never take him serious. For instance, he once played Lenny in a production of Of Mice And Men, a character that is in no way supposed to be funny. The very second he came on stage, the audience laughed. They laughed so hard that he actually broke down on the stage and cried - for 20 minutes.

    It's interesting to me how real and genuinely conversational this seems compared to talk shows on tv today. When I watch talk shows (rarely) anymore, both the guest and host are always oozing insincere charm and promoting product, like some second rate door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesmen.

    Woody had an all-time great run from the 70s, 80s to about 1994 being his prime years. I still think 1995 and on have still been mostly good movies.

    I'm going through a real Woody Allan appreciation phase. How did it take me until my 50's to discover this comic genius? "Annie Hall" and "Manhattan" (especially the opening montage) are pretty close to cinematic perfection.

    Spike Milligan (the boy from Woy Woy) often made the same comment about not being taken seriously. Spike had a passion for animal welfare.
    He was doing an interview about animal conservation at Lake Monger (a popular tourist spot) in Perth Western Australia'
    When some black swans and other water birds drowned out (pun intended) his speech, he turned around to the birds and yelled
    "Shut up you stupid birds, can't you see I'm trying to conserve you!".

    the joke is that he he said he thought the marijuana had no effect, but the dog started laughing. So Woody is pretending that he is confused, because the marijuana made him think the dog was laughing. I hope that makes sense

    Having some understanding of Mia Farrow's nature I don't believe the accusations. She is a self righteous and spiteful woman perfectly capable of programming her children to believe they were abused, and even if the accusations are true the talent remains.

    What? That makes no sense. She was well past the age of consent. He is clearly not a child molester, and he had no relation to Soon-Yi. Don't say such a strong thing as "child molester," if the comment itself really makes no sense and has no backing.
