These contaminants clog the heat exchanger space where the heated air flows, thus reducing the draft of the fireplace, which also reduces the efficiency of the fireplace.
Furthermore, despite the deposits of impurities, there is poorer heat conduction and thus slower heating of the water in the exchanger. This will again be reflected in the lower efficiency of the fireplace.
As a result, we gradually consume more fuel, and at the same time it is increasingly difficult to reach the optimal water temperature in the heating system.
By regularly cleaning the fireplace, we reduce fuel consumption, but also extend the life of the fireplace.
