I was born with a closed spina bifida. I can walk with no kind of assistance. I am half paralyzed from my waist down. When I was 2 years 5 months old (during being potty trained), I couldn't hold my urine when I stood up. After tests, my parents found out my bladder was paralyzed. I had a urostomy (urine bag) put on my side. I've had it 58 years. I have Stage 3b Chronic Kidney Disease. Have for 30 years. I don't do any of the 18 things in this video. I have stones in both kidneys and kidney infections (2). Both kidneys are badly scared on the inside and outside due to all of the infections. I was supposed to die 45+ years ago. Why I'm 60 and didn't die like most people born like me (by the time they are 30 years old), God only knows!! I had 1 child (girl) natural, and now I have two grandchildren (1 each)!! I have been totally blessed. I've been married 42 years to a wonderful, caring, and loving man!! God is great!!🙏❤️🙏!!

You have to communicate with doctors. I am 79 and have been taking increased high blood pressure medications for decades, but because of my blood pressure, I took daily aspirin for decades. And no doctor talked about diet nor exercise when I was younger. I was actually discouraged from exercise when my CKD was newly found. I think that the problem is that doctors don't refer to dieticians or exercise specialists. MD's want to be the exclusive authorities, but nutrition is notoriously absent in medical curriculum. I also blame the insurance establishment with profit superseding care and health.

I was recently diagnosed with stage 3A Chronic Kidney Disease and my A1C is too high. For over a year I have been recouperating from a fall that compressed six of my vertebrae.
Exercise was nearly non existent as I could barely walk. This plus I became a habitual bottled coffee drinker. Way too much sugar and caffeine.
I never smoked and do not drink alcohol or sodas.
Upon getting this diagnosis I stopped the bottled coffee, cut sugar intake to near zero. I have always used Sea salt, olive oil, and real butter.
Because I am healing from my accident I spend more time outside gardening and soaking up sunshine. Due to the injury my sleep has been affected, so many of the things inthis video resonated to me.
Thank you for the knowledge, this diagnosis broad sided me. Though there is no cure I am hopeful that I can slow down the progression to renal failure.
Prayers for everyone who suffers CKD.

I have chronic kidney disease, stage 3, fluctuating between A and B. I stay on a pretty restrictive diet most of the time, but every once in a while, I will indulge in something not in my diet. I learned a long time ago, that if my body is craving something, I should eat a little of that food, because it contains a vitamin, or mineral my body needs. I don’t over indulge, but I will eat a little. Good luck, and you can live a very good life, if you maintain good eating habits.

No doubt the fall that compressed so many vertebrae also impacted your kidneys! I noticed the same. My whole abdomen doubled in size within two days and I felt horrible. All the bruising collected blood cells and fluids that weren't getting eliminated efficiently by the shocked kidneys and I was not only in pain but general low blood pressure shock in the following days.
By the grace of God I pulled through without a decent doctor's care though I was in pretty bad shape!
You're right this is a good video. Wishing your best support of kidney and bone health.

Bless your heart. I too believe the fall affected my kidneys. My lower parts were mostly numb for the past year. Just before I got the results of my last blood work I began having feeling down there. My rib cage is touching my hip bones and I lost two inches in height. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Temporal Arteritis. It's very possible that the RA is attacking my kidneys. During the first three months the only thing I used for pain was a TENS unit. I went through two of them. Worth their weight in gold!
Good luck to you. I'm 74 and hope to hold everything together till Jesus calls me up.

There is hope! I was watching Barbara O'Neil's shorts about the Adkins diet. She is very bright and informed. She was sharing that Dr Adkins was looking for something for his own weight loss and when he found it he put his patients on it. He was surprised to hear back from his patients with diabetes and cancer that they had reversed and gone into remission. It's the elimination of sugars, and carbs, which turn to sugar in your body. I only use local honey if I must use sweetness but in your case stevia would be the best go to, be diligent cutting out sugars and substitutes . The stevia plant leaves themselves taste like candy. Sugar is in everything. Many listed end in 'ous' like fructuous and there are a few more listed under other names. Look up the list of other names for sugars. Stay away from artificial 'sugars', they are truly toxic. It's easiest to eat whole foods. Fresh organic, and grass fed meats, but no sugar, carbs or sugar food or processed foods. The Gerson Therapy diet is used at CHIPSA and they have great success with reversing cancer cells to healthy. Please note, cancer lives on sugar, cut off its supply and give your body the support it needs for its healthy self. Antioxidants, A, B, C, D, E, CoQ10, Magnesium, Manganese, Salmon oil, you get the idea. Doctors have only been taught medications, because the Medical Universities are supported by the pharmaceutical companies, so drugs are all they learn. Doctors also get a kick back for the scripts they write. I have a sister and a niece that are pharmaceutical reps, it's all about getting the drug in the doctors office. The doctors are wined, dined, and taken in expensive free trips, etc. by Big Pharma. Do what you have to, but give your body the support it needs. Inflammation causes illnesses. You have to do everything you can to eliminate the inflammation by giving your body what it needs. Read Brian Wills book called 10 Hours to Live. Praying is imperative. GOD bless you, and keep you. 💌

Further, a specific type of bacteria that resides in the gut called Oxalobacter formignes breaks down oxalates and uses them for energy. This process prevents oxalates from binding to minerals and limiting their absorption. Studies have shown that people with low levels of oxalate-degrading bacteria in the gut and those with certain digestive disorders are more prone to higher levels of oxalates in the body.

I think before oxalates something comes first - we have successfully eaten oxalate containing foods in the past, our bodies were able to “deal” with them, there must be some other factor contributing to our not being able to process / bind / get rid of / oxalates efficiently - and most probably it’s our habits and gut health, energy, thoughts, lifestyle etc etc

H lower than 5, drink plenty of water, on lots of medication though and calcium supplements, I've recently started getting some mild pain where my kidneys are and I think it might be the calcium supplements so I'be decreased them. I think it's helped. Dr has heard my symptoms though and requested a CT scan for stones. Pain was decreasing greatly until today. Last night I didn't sleep well. I hope all will be well.

There are some issues with this video for one thing it’s stress is taking high blood pressure medicine if you have high blood pressure while that may be true that you need it for the short term but it should be stressed that you change your diet and lifestyle in such a way that you can manage your blood pressure that way and lower it. Long-term use of blood pressure medicine is not without side effects because it’s not dealing with the root cause. The other issue is someone mentioned is it recommends legumes in grains. Both of these can be issues for many people for example whole wheat is very toxic these days because of pesticides sprayed on our food or GMO‘s in our foods. I cannot eat wheat I cannot eat bread because of it it causes immediate inflammation. It’s hard to be healthy this day because of all the garbage in our food all the GMO‘s what they’re doing to the meat. All we can do is the best we can try to eat as clean as we can grow our own food if possible or buy food from trusted sources, farmers markets I do organic etc.

Diabetes, obesity, heart-issues, high bloodpressure, etc. Also one of my grandmas has cancer too...

I make my chicken enchiladas small amount real cheese lots of onions olives and green onions. I eat that with a big salad full of onions garlic tomato onions etc with 2 big glass of water with lemons cut up. 3x a day. A treat one bite od snicker bar and im good. Wow, this video and those stats really got me rethinking my meat intake, but I'm still on team carnivore!
Just want to add that too much sodium is bad, and too little is no better. Like all nutrients, it's all about finding the right amount. For me, slightly more is better than not enough. I feel so drained without enough, so I hope you won't cut salt too much. The unprocessed salt (Himalayan salt, sea salt, Celtic salt, rock salt...) is much needed for your health. Yet table salt is a poison. Couldn't agree more with the video's message: The more natural your food, the better. Most folks with health issues tend to eat more processed stuff, not homemade meals.

For five years, I’ve had dizziness after standing for just a couple minutes, plus being exhausted after normal exertion. I started eating more salt and voila! Those symptoms are gradually clearing up. Now I’m getting off sugar in hopes that my arthritic knees will improve. It’s HARD to do so pray for me! 😊

Thank you for your insight. However the body can't make iodine so you might want to throw in a fish from the sea from time to time. I intend to eat lots of vegetables with my meat whenever I get the chance. Fibres are good for the colon. But it's not easy as I often eat in the canteen. All the best!

The business of excess salt damaging kidneys is interesting. I'm a farmer. I live in a sub-tropical country and it's hot here during the summer. I work hard physically and sweat like a horse. I doubt that my kidneys get a chance to filter out the sodium, because it exits my body via sweat glands. I know about how sodium and potassium must be in balance so i use a potassium chloride and sodium chloride mixture to enhance my food. So the WHO declares that one should consume less than 2 grams of sodium per day. That tiny amount would kill me. Two grams per day is fine for those who live a sedentary life, who work in an air conditioned work place, drives home in an air conditioned car, and lives in an air-conditioned home, but not everyone fits that category. .

I was diagnosed as having stage two kidney disease, after having yearly blood work, with an elevated creatinine. My nephrologist gave me no advice or direction, and seemed to be irritated that I would even ask any questions. I researched on the internet about prescribed medications effect on the kidneys. I happened to be on bupropion for years and found that this drug can elevate your creatinine level. I gradually took myself off the buproprion and my creatinine went back to normal level. I had to decide for myself whether to be more depressed, or not have kidney disease. When my nephrologist saw my new blood test results, and I reported to her what I had done to help myself, she became angry and practically threw me out of the office. (?????)

Thank you for the warning about Bupropion. I went back to Sertralin some weeks ago, because I was too instable in mood with Bupropion and my blood pressure and heart rate increased. Glad to read this was a good decision for my kidneys, too. I'm back to a stable mood and lower blood pressure/heart rate now.

There are so many additives to our tap water, some of which are
toxic but at safe levels "so they say" - there was a time (loong ago)
when tap water didn't have all these additives, and the water was
