Hi, did you set it on the app? It will only notify if you set the specific apps to alarm you

Yes. Lahat ng apps sa phone mo, pwede mo iset to turn on or off the notifs. Even banking apps. Altho, you cannot read the contents for messenger AFAIC. Notif lang that you received a chat from someone. For SMS' naman, you will be able to read the text. And for most apps, ganon din.
