This trailer made me even more excited for this show. I swear that I will go to war with any haters that go after these kids. They look like they are having so much fun.
if someone had ask me what song would be featured in this, I NEVER would have in a BILLION years with infinite chances guessed a huttese cover of Major Tom. I am SO excited for this.
I'll admit the music caught me off guard cause I'm so used to the orchestral score that's common in so much of the rest of the franchise, but I will say it does make this show feel more unique.
People are going to make fun of it, but hearing Major Tom in Star Wars, in Huttese, in this context, made me legit cry like a kid again. Star Wars can be so many things, and this was made for me.
This looks so fantastic!!!! I cannot stress how much this is EXACTLY what I love about these stories. Looking forward to watching with you in December ❤
I honestly don't understand how anyone could hate on this! Looks like such good fun. Not every show needs to have the writing of Andor, or the stakes and scale of Ahsoka. Sometimes it's nice to kick back with a fun SW adventure that you can watch with a smile on your face
I was 7 when Star Wars came out in 1977. I was glued to the TV for the Holiday Special and the Ewok Adventure Made for TV Movies. The Lore of Star Wars was first sparked for me when Ben said he fought in the Clone Wars. I Loved the Phantom Menace, but when The Clone Wars came out... it came full circle for me. There is no Media of Star Wars that I hate. From what I was introduced to in 1977 to now? Who the fuck am I to complain about it!?? Who is waiting for Andor? BTW. I started tearing up and starting crying when I heard those first music tones right at the start!! I don't care what anyone thinks, anything Star Wars brings me joy and I'll love it! Live long and use the Force Harry!
That Major Tom cover redlines the 80s Amblin spooky kid adventure vibes and I would like it injected directly into my veins, please and thank you. Also, I don't think he was saying "Old Republic credit," he was saying "old Republic credit." The ingot had the logo of the Galactic Republic, as in the 30 years ago Republic. We're in the New Republic era, so any pre-Imperial version of the government would be "old" to them. I suspect the ship is likely Clone Wars-era.
Looks awesome, can't wait. Been Star Wars fan since mid-80s, ever since I first saw New Hope. I have watched all live action shows and most animated shows in their entirety. And quite honestly, I haven't had a dull moment. Loving it.
SO refreshing to see someone enthusiastic about a new Star Wars show. 😊 I have enough of my own apprehensions about this one, that I don’t need them to be reinforced by anyone else. I realize Skeleton Crew is aimed at a younger audience than myself, and that it’s important to bring young fans into the fold. This show looks like it could do very well. It LOOKS great, clearly a lot of money’s been spent on it. LOTS of aliens! (Was that giant worm species the same as Lady Proxima from SOLO?!) IS it ENOUGH of STAR WARS to not feel detached from the main lore? That remains to be seen, but of course I’m going to give it a chance. Because it mostly looks like it could be a lot of fun, and FUN was something sorely lacking from The Acolyte…
amped, cant wait for this show and also a genuine fan of where SW is right now. I truly love the shows coming out and think they do a great and fun job of building the galaxy and creating these interconnected stories that deepen the narrative of SW
Hell yeah, finally someone else who is as excited as me!! I feel like a kid again, thank God I'm not the only one who loves The Major Tom Hutt cover!!!
OK! I have a theory. Jude Law's Character was a former Stormtrooper (could be force sensitive like Finn, .....it's Star Wars). Jude Law played a "Stormtrooper" in a movie called Bent in 1997. Look it up. That would be and interesting easter egg!
Let me guess "i dunno, guys, this looks likeit might be the best Star Wars things since (insert last Star Wars thing that was the best thing since last Star Wars thing, etc...)."
Even though The Last Jedi really bothered me, after seeing Mark Hamill being interviewed and saying, "I told him 'That's not my Luke Skywalker'.", I moved on to enjoy everything that's come out since, including TROS and The Acolyte. In fact, I liked The Acolyte better than Kenobi and TBOBF. Anyway, Skeleton Crew looks amazing! Thank you for the Treasure Planet drop, loved that movie, too. And your joyous reaction will hopefully remind everyone to let their inner child know that they haven't been forgotten. Great job!
Awesome break down! I love Star Wars, always have always will. My younger brother does too! Brother's and sister's don't always agree on things but this is one of the things we do! Was 10 years old when A New Hope came out and became obsessed along with my late sister. We're Star Wars people at my house! So excited for more SW!
LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot wait for this show, and the reactions! Fern in detention for those driving skills confirms, for me, that she and KB will be the pilots of the Onyx Cinder, just like their counterparts Idy and Ody.
Jude Law is giving "Bad Guy mascarading as Good Guy, using heroes for his own nefarious means, and in the end while not going "Paladin" crosses over into the Chaotic Good realm" Goodies Meets Star Wars

Do you hear that? The one Alien said: "Where do you fine OLD Republic Credits." Credits from the Old republic? how isolated is the planet, the kids are from? ^^
I believe the word the character used was “find,” not, “fine.” And I believe the word, “old,” in that sentence was with a lower case “O.” He was saying that form of credit is old, not referencing “The Old Republic.” Like if you said, “Where did you find an old U.S. one dollar coin?” You would be saying the old version of the coin, not the “Old U.S.”
@@Ernwaldo in german he says "wo habt ihr credits der ALTEN republik gefunden?" so the meaning was credits from the era old republic, not old, republic credits, because the republik is long gone. I think they found it on the ship, or their planet is realy, so isolated in the unexplored aerea of the galacy, they dont witnessed the hole imperium, galactig civil war thing. I mean, it would make sense. Why else cant they find their way back home, when the planet is an everyones galaxy map? It makes sense when it isnt. But thisis only a theory. How it is turning out, we will see in december, when the series starts ^^
I just worry the ratings are going to be 'bad', and we know Disney is allergic to ratings that fall short of its expectations. My logic is that the show is SO aimed at a young audience, or a family with kids, that casual adult fans are going to pass it by.
Nice! But to me that opening with the kids asking, “What are you in for?,” reminded me of the scene in *Ferris Bueller’s Day Off* (1986) with Jennifer Gray and Charlie Sheen.
@@KyleKatarnChannel I thought my music knowledge was pretty robust, but looks like I'm going to have to work a little harder on that first decade of my life 😆

The Food Vendor Said "Where did you get your hands on OLD REPEUBLIC Credits?!" As in KOTOR Old Republic?!.. Would explain why the planet had reclaimed the ship, if it had been abandoned since the Old/High Republic Era...
Possibly. I took it to mean he was saying the credit was old (lower case “O”), not “Old Republic.” As in, “Where did you find an old U.S. $1 coin?” You would be asking about an old version of the coin, not an “Old U.S.” but I could be completely wrong… 🤷
@@Ernwaldo That's what I thought at first, but looking at the credits and combining the fact that the ship was buried, made me think that it had been from the Old/High Republic Era.

Major Tom? In Huttese?
