Clapton has gotten better as he's progressed. I have been fortunate to enjoy his life's work since he first appeared in the 60s. Thank God for the blessings ❤
Woke up today not hating myself and wanting to live instead of the hell that torments me constantly. It's getting better all the time! Love this song and the feelings it invokes. Got to feel good getting down with Eric Clapton!
parfaitement! c est mon guitariste preféré et moi meme j en joue depuis 25 ans ! son phrasé est inegalable et je les ai tous écoutés: bb king, albert king, freddy king, howling wolf, stevie rai vaugh mais clapton joue comme nul autre
@Shel230 Clapton was a bit jealous of the original blues singers in his early years. It was because their voice had that Soul in it that he didn't have. He later apologized for some of the mean things he said about them.
Revisiting his epochal performance of this tune with John Mayall in 1966, he enters both B. B. King territory, and then Buddy Guy territory, and makes them both his own. Slowhand will be the Gold Standard for this kind of Playing/Singing for a long time to come.
Clapton is phenomenal, he gets better as he ages I love when he plays the Blues and sings I posted another video of him singing this when he was younger. Thank you T-Bone Walker
I have to agree...I admit I am a fan but this was one of the best performances I've seen from Mr. Clapton. But it sure doesn't hurt that he has the "A Team" - Andy Fairweather Low, Steve Gadd, David Sancious, Nathan East and Greg Phillinganes - behind him!
Eric love your music the way you play your guitar like it’s coming straight from your heart the passion inside of you pouring out while playing your guitar is really amazing . Loved the music and the song you have so much talent you are the greatest artist singer and greatest guitarist ever you are an icon of all time your music and style will be in the history books for all students to see and learn from you how you become a legend and artist back in our times of being there to see how great you are. Eric you are the best in our time and you will always be remembered as the greatest guitarist songwriter singer of our generation.
@@joestephan1111 It's an original T Bone Walker song recorded in 1947. BBB recorded it in 1961. Allman Brothers recorded it in 1971. BB King and many others also recorded it. All are incredible. My favorite is Duane Allman and Dickey Betts with Greg Allman on vocals from Live at the Fillmore East.
I was having a bit of a slump in my guitar playing where I felt nothing I played sounded good, just like music gibberish. But watching this with a guitar and picking up some of his simpler licks and ideas, it helped. Freaking Clapton eh, too good. The cream reunion of this is also fantastic
Having said that, anyone who loves Eric Clapton should check out his "Journeyman" bootlegs. The bootlegs of ANY artist's live performances are where it's at, people.
True dat. One person or group, ideally acoustic instruments, no engineering magic, no autotune, no fixing it in the mix. It's what separates the musicians from the mere "stars."
I just love that organ! There's just nothing like the way the notes harmonize when done on a really good blues organ. I don't know what kind of organ that is but many of the old Santana albums had one like that.
@@jas2819 I'd say that's a reasonable possibility, but which of the models in the Hammond line? The video is too low quality to tell. I'm a drummer so I don't really know enough about the organs and couldn't even give an 'educated guess'. All said, it's just a very cool sounding organ.
WHAT!!! Andy Fairweather Low is the guitarist of choice by many artists such as: clapton, pete townshend, roger waters, bill wyman and the list goes on!!, he has a great guitar style and ability and a fantastic voice (check out eric claptons sunshine of your love you will find him there)
Beautiful organ That just glosses the band with finese! Coming From a drummer whos Played for years And decades, One of the finest drummers i Saw who had his own band Was this steve Gadd dude!
Stormy Monday is one of my favorites
It paints a
picture of your life 🎉

Eric Clapton is the greatestof them all to me i just love him with all my heart he makea my body move.
If you like Eric Clapton then you will love bb king and etc cause if it wasn't for black blues guitarist then there wouldn't be no Eric Clapton
@Shel230 Clapton was a bit jealous of the original blues singers in his early years. It was because their voice had that Soul in it that he didn't have. He later apologized for some of the mean things he said about them.
That’s right! If your body doesn’t move it’s not music!!
Appropriate for today. I’ll never tire of this song by the great Eric Clapton!💕
What a performance. Man on Fire. What an absolute joy it is to hear him play and sing.
Perfect song for this rainy, dark Monday! Mr. Eric Clapton, I thank you and love you!!
When Clapton is playing Monday is never stormy
omg, totally!!!!!
Such a great blues player, he plays with Such feelings, you can just go on and on listening to him play the he'll out of that Strat.

I wish there was more of that 66 gig
T-Bone Walker territory.
That 66 version, is possibly the angriest playing ever. It's so savage 🤘🤘
Eric you bring joy to my life when im sad thank you for eho you are.
Eric where did you come from what more can i say the greatiest of all.
Possibly the best rendition I've ever heard of this excellent jam! Top notch!
Eric is a FORCE of NATURE !!! ❤🎸😎
one of my favorite songs Eric Clapton is a very good blues player👍😃
I am working my way through Stormy Monday as a guitar improvisation study. I am using this and the Cream revival at Alberts Hall as inspiration.
I love this song Stormy Monday.
lisen to Cream Stormy monday, is better..
This is the song that encouraged BB King to be a musician. This is "the blues song".
So true. Clapton start from time to time a fret below, and he bend it, so it becomes right, when it needs to be right.. He is so good at this..
Thank you brothers Eric and the band for a spiritual 🙏🙌inspiration and peace of mind
I Love this song! Really enjoy listening to Eric Clapton. If I had to sum it up in a word...relaxing.
Clapton is phenomenal, he gets better as he ages I love when he plays the Blues and sings I posted another video of him singing this when he was younger. Thank you T-Bone Walker
