My favorite thing about not drinking is that my apology rate has diminished significantly. All the years I drank, I had to constantly apologize for my dangerous, reckless, and thoughtless actions. When I stopped drinking, the apology tour ended!

Congratulations on your sobriety streak Michael. Being a nicer, less selfish, and less clumsy person is a good thing. Keep up the good work Michael.

I agree with all of these! I think the main thing for me is pride, and removing the underlying feeling of guilt that was always there when drinking. It's such a massive weight off my shoulders. Congrats on four months!!!! I'm at 3 weeks again today

I'm right there with you on the whole pride and guilt thing! Feels good to shed the guilt I used to carry around as a drinker. Keep up the good work! 👊

72 days of no alcohol for me

My list of things I took for granted as an alcoholic is too long to list. Everything from family and friends to being able to physically and mentally perform everyday tasks. Interestingly, that same list of things I took for granted as an active alcoholic I now have on my gratitude list as a sober man. And I use that gratitude list every day as a reminder to stay sober.

❤all of these. I was a very moderate drinker, but I had NO idea how much it affected me until i cut it out of my routine.❤ i am absolutely surprised by the effects. Every part of my days and life are better.

Thank you and great job! 25 pounds is a big deal! Bet you feel and look much better! I know I do! I went from 212 down to 162. Thinking about starting a lean bulk soon. Keep up the great work! 👊

@@sauceainttheboss Wow ! 50 pounds is impressive! I still can't visualize that yet. Jogging is easier and I am faster when I play softball. My goal is to get lean and then bulk up. Keep me posted on your journey. I am lifting 2 to 3 times a week full body workouts with weights. Live is awesome!

Nate, I cannot thank you enough for these videos. You have encouraged me SO much. You and I seem to have a lot in common, and it is SO motivating to have someone that you connect with who has been down this road ahead of you. All of the things you mentioned are things I have missed about myself these last 4 years. After the loss of my father, then my marriage, and then my job... I lost myself. I've always been a very driven, disciplined person, but I became a depressed/anxious drinker through it all. I'm now on day 3, and am so THANKFUL to have your video series to kind of guide me along. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your dedication to these videos.

The key word is "UNDER" Think about it.... "Under the influence of alcohol! Yep! At 30+ days I get it. NOW I see how I was being controlled by that habit of stress and the the alcohol relief. Booze breaks the stress pattern and then you start over again. And most of us have NO CLUE what we are doing. We think it just fun, or fun with friends...... And we assume this is just NORMAL. STOP DRINKING AND NOTICE HOW MUCH YOU ARE UNDER THE CONTROL OF ALCOHOL.

And all of your points are so on point exclamation point the money saving my blood pressure my weight, so many things have improved that it is unbelievable that I allowed alcohol to damage me in such away. Thanks for the videos. I’m glad I found your channel today. Keep up the good work!🙌🏽

Great Video! Congrats on 120 i'm just starting and I am motivated by the same HBP worry, stroke fear etc. Also thats a lot of weight loss in 120 days, (also congrats), did you do anything other than ditch the booze to help with weight? Again great video and continued success!

Thanks! There is such a thing as "alcoholic high blood pressure." Pretty sure that's what I had. As soon as I quit drinking my numbers started to drop quickly.
As far as my weight loss... I was always pretty active, but the 1500 empty calories a day in alcohol I was consuming was keeping me fat. Just quitting the alcohol made the weight start to come off, but I also found myself eating better and excercising even more. That helped me stay off the alcohol too. It's a bad idea to start eating sweets after you quit the sauce because sugar can make you crave alcohol again. I really just put a big focus on my overall diet and health because I had spent the last 20+ years trashing my body with all that alcohol.
Congrats on getting started on this journey! Life is so much better without the sauce!
