Hi Jason. One thing I wanted to mention was if using PayPal why not just create the button in the back office of Paypal then add the button to the site. You can have a redirect or thank you page if someone buys the product. Much simpler to do. Though I like the idea of Zapier to MailChimp
Great idea but...you have to have https to embed paypal on your site. That's why I recommend linking to paypal with your pay link.... If you create a button that direct people to the paypal server that just might work though.... but it 's a little more complex than I wanted to get for this tutorial for beginners. 👍

Do you know which platform is better to "grow into"--which ones paid options are better? And for Coverkit, would I need the "free migration from another tool" option to use it paired with my thinkific or teachable platform?
Good ideas for duct tape business. One tweak, you cannot use Vimeo free or Plus plans for business. If they catch you they will shut you down. I learned the hard way.

Can this transfer easily to a basic wix site? Can I use my wix landing page the same way? I've just downscaled to their free version as I rebuild my business after time away.
You could create a page to host your videos on your wix site - there just won't be a password to protect your content. But if you already have a wix site, than it's better than doing the google site shown in this video. Good luck!

Your looking at a paid plug-in if you want to do that. Wordpress does allow you to password protect certain pages, but everyone will have the same password

Convertkit works with Teachable and Thinkific... Convertkit is also working on it's own payment system as well so it might be ready by the time your want to launch.

Completely understand not wanting to use them ☹.... I don't have an updated one since I don't recommend building membership sites on Wordpress anymore. It's just too much of a tech headache.... If you do want to do it; Look for some Thrive Apprentice tutorials and for the membership software try Wishlist member or member mouse.

There is no good long term 'free' solution. Thinkific has a free plan, but whatever you use you'll need to pay for real software eventually when you start to see success with your course
If your already have clickfunnels then your good to go with your membership site. You may just need to pick up a Vimeo subscription to host your video content.... After that between ClickFunnels and whatever email software you have your good to go!
I would like to send emails for video that I publish on TH-cam and sometimes send people promotional emails after they watch webinar. Would MailChimp be ok for that purpose?
As soon as it's online, someone can steal it.... You can use Vimeo to add some level of protection by restricting urls the video can be seen or shared... but nothing is going to stop people from downloading it.
You do have the ability to directly give access to your friends without charging them. Paid solutions like Teachable and Thinkific both allow for that. This method, you'd just send them the link 👍
You can do the recording from your phone, but I would suggest using a laptop for building the site and uploading... But if a phone is all you want to use I don't see why not

Right now I would actually recommend ThriveCart Learn. It gives you the same features for a one time fee. It also works with convertkit

Since this video, I would recommend Convertkit over Mailchimp now. It's an excellent choice

For a online course, it is best to have your own domain, but your can sue something like Teachable to host your course
