Great job! Kit and playing are dead on. This tune always reminds me of the scene in platoon when they are all partying in the bunker drinking and smoking weed.
Nice! These are awesome! The time feel is smooth and perfect. Can you do a couple of the motowns that are in that magic 120 to 130 range? Some are straight 8ths and some are shuffles. Also have you ever thought of doing an instructional-type video where you, for example, compare the styles of Uriel, Benny Benjamin and Pistol Allen? Another thing that TH-cam is lacking is a good video on how that iconic drumbeat developed from Dyke & the Blazers Funky Broadway to Cold Sweat and - just that whole family of super funky beats with the snare displaced in a melodic way.
this is unbelievable. Incredible performance, tuning, self mixing, everything.
Thank you very much! 🙏🏻
Spot on, well played!

How would you describe that fill? A five stroke roll with pizzazz? Been trying to learn it.
😁I would describe it as you did, as well as noticeably cool in the song
Nice
The most 'Motown' drum part ever?
Great cover! Didn't Benny Benjamin play drums on this???
Thank you! For years I also assumed that this was Benny Benjamin but I’ve read in a couple of different articles that it was Uriel on this track.
Benny Benjamin only played up to ‘67 or ‘68, Uriel & Pistol carried it on…..
