I hear that, I rather the SP for sure as a personal preference, however the H ticks alot of boxes, form factor and comfort, I think the H takes it. Awesome video, thanks for sharing👍🏾
I own this device and love it and have watched many videos about it. I'm also a longtime iPhone owner. You pointing out that it has the same display as the iPhone 4 blew my mind, I had no idea! I can't believe my iPhone 4 screen was so tiny back in the day.
I've been looking for something exactly like this for MAME. classic arcade games had some really unique controller layouts. duo joycons will make those games playable
Really enjoy this video format, it would be interesting to see how the switchs (lite and oled) ranks now that there is so much competition on the handheld scene
Check out the 556. 5.5 inch OLED screen and ergonomic shell. Two joysticks and can play PS2, GC, etc. It’s a step up in price though up to the 150-200 USD range.
Both the H and the SP's software work the same, meaning you can install literally the same custom software in both of them. The ONLY difference is that, so far, only MinUI has an update that supports the sleep mode when closing the SP, similar to the stock OS. Other great alternatives are Garlic OS (which is basically a port of the Miyoo Mini's Onion OS), and MuOS. There's also Knulli (used to be called Batocera), Koriki, and if I'm correct, there's also ArkOS I think. Anyhow, great video, like the ranking a lot.
@@TechSpaceCowboy - I see, that makes sense. I currently own a Miyoo Mini Plus, and my wife told me she'll be getting the SP very soon, so I've been binge watching videos about Anbernic devices, and some videos have said what I wrote in my first comment. it's not my first rodeo with emulation devices, and I've modded my fair share of branded devices as well, but it's not like I've done it a 100 times either, so I'm still learning. I appreciate the correction and insight you gave me both in the video and response, thank you. I'll keep doing my research so when the SP comes I can set it up correctly. Again, thank you.
Can the stock software/firmware be upgraded with onboard controls or do you have to go through a computer to do it every time? Would it be wise to connect this to wi-fi if it does update from on board controls?
Nothing. Both of what you have are better than this in nearly every way. This is just way low cost for people who are on an extreme budget or just getting into it.
I’ve been looking into all of these devices especially the SP! I want to know one thing is it hard to load it with games and can I load it with games just using my steam deck and a sd card? Sorry to just spew a bunch of questions I just haven’t had anyone reach out on Reddit and I’m just curious lol.
Waiting on this, the TrimUI Pro and a Japanese PS Vita OLED in silver ice to come in. My SP hit the US yesterday. That sell is going to break me. Im really wanting the RG556 OLED. I’m definitely going to grab the Ayaneo DMG OLED. I wish they made more consoles with good OLED screens.
The H is fantastic. I almost forgot about my steam deck for about a month.
Really love the spreadsheet evaluation!
I've got one recently and I'm happy with it.

The ability to throw an sp in a cargo pocket with no worries is unbeatable

It’s hard to add switch to this because it’s scored based on retro emulation, but I could try perhaps…
Great review.
Good score system. I personally want an anbernic that would fit my hands and a bigger screen.
Check out the 505

You can but they aren’t optimized for the sp yet which gives it some issues.

Niceeeeee but that SP tho❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I need to get even tho I don't need!
Me neither but I ordered anyway because I’m poisoned by nostalgia
I bought one waitng for delivery
Too easy to hit false diagonals, which kills it for me, otherwise, it’s a great looking little device. 🍻

I have an RP2S and a 405M. What would I gain by buying one of these? Is it more comfortable?

@@TechSpaceCowboythank you for the reply. I'll wait to see what Miyoo comes out with next. I really liked the build quality of the mini
Bactocera loading is not better than stock os
That's only for those who don't have a RG353 handheld
i dont see the link to the sheets
Oh thanks for reminding me!! Adding now

It comes with tons of games. Putting games on is easy. You just put it in your pc or deck, and put the games in the “roms” folder
Where is the link to get it for 50 dollars?
It was on a sale, you’d have to keep looking on their website
Does it have all the Pokemon games from Gb to Nintendo Ds?
Not DS, but Gb-GBA yes
What game was that you were playing on the SP?
Oracle of Seasons.
I’m currently playing through every Zelda game
Love this ranking! can i ask wich is the difference in the software categories between this and the SP?, since both use the same
Third party softwares haven’t been optimized to work with the SP yet. Specifically with the hinge close feature
@@TechSpaceCowboy clear, thank you!
I can't get mine to dock with botocera installed
Yeah same only with stock:/ didn’t even realize that until you mentioned and I just tried it
Im a fan of clicky buttons
