Eventually, we were called for a real-world tornado warning and had to go out in the hall. I could tell my student was scared, so I got out my phone and pulled up this video since I know they played Sonic a lot. Sat down on the floor with them and watched too. This calmed my student down and brought peace. Thank you for doing these videos and putting them up.

The games collision detection was built around Sonic, tails has a smaller "collision box" so he can slip through the games barriers and warp/glitch the physics easier. It's like this in Sonic 2 also.
@RedwykelzGlitched speedruns don't just study map layout, but the tiniest flaws in game development that can be exploited to skip major intended areas of play. Clearing nearly every stage with game-breaking glitches isn't really the way to honor the game or its developers. It seems more like just a big "Haha look how broken the game you put so much effort into is"
Christ almighty, you two are gonna fucking DEMOLISH the Time Attack mode in Sonic Mania with this. You guys are so awesome, you put my 20 plus years of experience to shame with this and don't even get me started on how good you are at Sonic 2, my favorite video game
The Sonic & Knuckles Miniboss theme oddly starts playing in that boss if you start to drown then jump out, the same glitch happens with Hydrocity's miniboss (which oddly has the main boss theme already). It's a glitch.
Razpr & Zenon: The trick is so useful on Launch Base Zone Act 1 witch was discoverd by me. :) And do take aswell the trick to clip into the wall earlier witch will save more time for the next run. Nice run! ^^
munsi0121 Well, isn't it obvious this video wouldn't have existed otherwise? =/ And there's nothing wrong with allowing glitches, they are allowed at AGDQ, and in TASes, so why not? And they are really hard to pull off. It would be much easier to just clear the game as is, just not as fast and not as risky.

I think it was, you just won't see Razor & Xenon ever admit it. They do a ton of TAS videos. You can tell they have a huge drop-off in skill when they play the indie titles compared to all the hacked versions of the games. That is because it is easier to TAS using an emulator.

Le Purple Spy Sonic has that intro that's 40 secs long or something and it wastes time cause you can't speed it up
he can also use the elemental shields, but that doesnt help either.
