Hey, I'm Cameron! I've been a school bus enthusiast for as long as I can remember, and that's the main focus of my channel! I've been making school bus videos for over 10 years, and I have and making videos on all sorts of topics pertaining to school buses - my thoughts on new bus releases, showing off my personal school bus memorabilia collection, giving history on specific buses, showing off real life school buses, and everything else in between. Whether you're a fellow enthusiast, a driver, or just happened to stumble across my videos, I'd love to have you join me!
I honestly like the look.
Same
When you were mentioning about the IC RE with black window posts, tinted windows reflective tape and stop when red lights flash sign. It could be Clark County spec, and IC RE's are one of my favorite buses along with Thomas EF's and A3RE's. P.S. I also left lots of lots request in the video request form when you have time to look at it.
Clark don't buy ICs
The sign on the back of the bus doesn’t match the clack county since the unlawful to pass when red lights flash sign is black while the ones Clark county has are white I believe. This is most likely going to a district in Oregon
Weird thing is, I just looked on street view and its not there anymore.
Yeah, they removed it right after I started editing this video. Went to try and record something different but it was completely gone.
The new door is 4" narrower than the current design, but still wider than any other in the industry in terms of Type C. The steps are still the same width all the way up, they don't taper like a Thomas or Blue Bird.
I see. Thanks for the clarification.
I'm assuming they had to take new pictures because IC. did not want it to be leaked because on mine its a cloudy day and on his its a sunny day
I truly believe the 3rd gen will likely kill ic, all the things that make ic popular are slowly being deleted with this bus, and even I would be pushed closer to Thomas if I was forced to choose, and I’m a loyal Ic buyer. The other possibility it we live with it a few years and then Navistar makes adjustments to make it more popular possibly bring features back from the 2nd gens.
IC will die off with the end of the RE.
@@JoshuaWithTheBuses IC shot themselfs in the foot with them discontinuing the IC RE. Sure there is going to be some very IC loyal districts that will use the new CE but as for the district that are die hard Type D. They would basically make those districts switch to Thomas and Blue Bird. Sure not everywhere uses Type D but there are certain states like Washington that they will lose market share.
It's interesting bc the district in my area only uses Type Ds for regular routes. They have a mix of Thomas' and ICs but more than half are ICs. Their most recent big batch were the IC with the L9s in them. So I'm guessing they most likely just buy Thomas HDXs exclusively unless the want to try All Americans (which they never have)
@@kilobeatsog They should try some T3REs, those buses have a very nice drivers area and are very nice buses in general. But what I have heard is that Blue Bird’s quality isn’t what it used to be and Blue Bird can be expensive compared to Thomas and IC
@@rosecitybusman129 bluebird has absolutely garbage quality. Even the Cummins engines have problems. It reminds me of ram and the issues with the 2022-present 6.7l engines in the 2500, 3500 and 4500 ram trucks
Penske has added a bunch of 2023 Internationals to their box truck fleet. If you search for those you get a really good idea of what the new hood and dash will look like on the ICs. There are already a lot of photos and a video on TH-cam about them.
im looking at it on google maps right now and the 3rd gen is not there.
I think another detail of the 3rd gen CE's are with the rubrails, specifically above the battery door, the 3rd gens (I think) won't have it above the battery door, it'll just stop with the rest of the rails, the 2nd gens continue till the front of the body.
Damnit IC, how long before you're going to reveal it?
I know right lol!
keep the clips coming
Why did they get rid of the wide entry door??? Honestly feels like a downgrade from the previous generation.
It allows an extra row of seats now, so they can fit an 83 passenger capacity into the same length of body.
@@KodieS I call it IC is dead in 2025 because no RE=loss of many loyal type D IC customers.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 RE's make up an extremely small percentage of what IC sells every year, so they may lose some but not many. CE's were the highest selling bus last year with over 40% of the buses sold in the US and Canada being CE's.
@@KodieS it only wasn’t selling because it wasn’t redesigned in a long time. That’s why bluebird and Thomas still sell theirs. They update them.
@@charlesrodriguez7984😂 They will quickly recover from that 6% loss in sales.
Any new pictures of the new CE’s?
Not that I've seen or heard of! It's being revealed on July 14th
Will it be a official release 🎉
Also I sent you a few pictures of buses from my school district most of them are mine over the years
I would assume it's official! I'll check out the email here in a little bit and get back to you there
It does look like they made the door smaller, I wonder why, the wide door was a really nice and comfortable thing to have
They're likely still perfecting the design, I hope they do go back to the large door, the space in a CE is what made it stand out to me the most compared to C2's and especially visions
The new door is 4" narrower than the current design, but still wider than any other in the industry in terms of Type C. The steps are still the same width all the way up, they don't taper like a Thomas or Blue Bird. The narrower door now frees up enough space to have an 83 passenger capacity with a body that's under 40'.
@@KodieS oh, that's nice I thought they will go to bluebird levels of cheapness
@@KodieS I do wish that they could’ve kept making the RE but focusing on one product instead of many can help make a better product.
By reducing the door 4" it removed the stress the bigger door put on the motor and it's still the widest entry in the industry.
I like the new design as well as the old design. I have already seen the new hood on the MV Series International trucks in person and I think they look nice. I see some people who are passionately against the change, but I do not even think it is that drastic. I am sure they would have also been whining when they went from the first-gen to second-gen design if they were around back then.
Great job with your content anyway bestie.
Now I really hate it, the larger door and doorway was something that made it standout. They’re really testing my brand loyalty with this one
I was never a fan of the large entrance door and such.
I loved the large entrance door. It’s very sad to see they got rid of it.
@@JoshuaWithTheBuses the large entrance door provides enough space for everyone (different body types) to get on. I hate how cramped Blue Bird and Thomas entrance doors/stepwells feel.
@@BusBoy501Productions We have a really wide range of body types. They've always been fine on the Thomases.
I agree, Noah!
Looks nice
Why do they have to hide them lol people know they are coming I heard this spring
WOOO!!
I love this
I can't wait
I really hope the late 2023 CE models have the new hood model, because my school district is due to get new CEs next year.
They're already making 2024 CEs. They are not redesigned.
Builds start later this summer for the 2025 model year.
@@KodieS well in that case, my district will most likely be getting the new style CEs next year
4:00 i don’t think it’s a Clark country due the Unlawful to Pass when red lights flash sign is black and looking on the back of some Clark county buses, those signs are white. It’s most likely to go to a district in Oregon.
As a passenger of a 2016 IC CE, I have to say I have mixed feelings about this new redesign
I think that Nevada's Clark County School District should get IC RE buses because they have alot of Bluebirds & Thomas
I welcome this design but feel indifferent to it, and it will grow on me with time. I rather have this design than wait another 20 years for a redesign.
I am super excited to see a 3rd generation CE up close. Because I am liking how the driver has a more visible blind spot. But here is a question I have regarding the 3rd gen CE: has IC started an investment on requiring bonded windshields to make the bus stronger than the 2nd and 1st gen CE? Thomas has done it and still continues doing it. Bonded windshields are secured with structural adhesive inside and outside the bus to make the driver have less chances of getting injured. Has IC started doing that?
The windshield is bonded now.
@@KodieS that makes it worse for accidents because you can’t kick out the glass like before.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 Kicking out a roped in windshield is next to impossible, that's an old school safety message that really doesn't apply to the large windshields of buses built today. Also, the C2 has a bonded windshield, so it's not a new concept.
@@KodieS right
I Like The 2nd generation IC CE Better

Do like how they've kept the classic one piece visors.
I like the roofcap and grille, but not so sure on the massive headlights. I kinda hope they offer the single pane door as well but I doubt lol
Single pane door is standard
Oh I really hate that 3rd gen… especially with that narrow doorway
You could buy BB or TH, with the narrower entry. The next gen IC still has the widest entry.
Is this 2023 pre-production unit
Something is off about this but I can't put my finger on it just yet. Not sure if it's the huge ass headlights or how close the crossview mirrors seem to be towards the front of the hood more than usual but something is definitely off.. an interesting front end though, can't wait to see it on the road but I'm not really a fan of this.
The mirror is further out because it's required to be in the wiper zone on the windshield.
I think the Street-View was redone, as it's not there anymore
Yeah I caught that while editing. Wasn't up for very long, so I'm glad I recorded it when I did
Never seen the 3rd gen IC CE. Different from the gen 2 CEs.
The 3rd gen CE is ugly. I'm glad most of Washington's school districts choose Bluebird or Thomas. The only good ICs that Washington has are the IC RE, IC FE and 1st gen CEs.
This thing would look so ugly in Upstate NY spec tbh
It looks fine. It would seem the same.
Honestly IC is now a disappointment.
I agree. I was hoping that the RE would stay around longer.
Not only is it ugly but it's a bus for twig people
Because it has the widest entry door and steps on the market?
@@chadbrinkley6358 the 3rd gen CE's entry door seems to be a bit of a downgrade compared to the 2nd gen
@@DonteTheGuy6622 it's 4" narrower overall, but still the widest in the industry
@@chadbrinkley6358 we'll see about that when we get to physically enter the buses
@@DonteTheGuy6622 Well, it literally is the widest, it's a measurement, not an opinion. 😂
