My goodness, I love Momma Dodie! She is still just as on fire now as she was here! It’s amazing to see the early years and see how Godly and strong Pastor John was.
When I watch these videos of John preaching I think to myself How can Joel continue to allow the things going on at Lakewood after hearing his dad preach the real word of God bewilders me. Now I believe Joel in his heart means well, but I think because he was not ready to take the lead of Lakewood. I am not going to say I know everything that goes on behind the camera, but some of the things Joel has allowed on TV would have been shut down immediately by John if he was still alive. John preaches the real word of God teaches and shows you how to implement it into your own lives and pointed to Jesus for the answers. Joel likes to motivate and make you feel good. He is a motivator and not a preacher. I miss John very much the messages were real and the annointing was upon him when he preached. God change Joel's heart bring him back to the word of God and to the vision his Dad had for the Church. Amen!
I do agree with this comment. I believe Joel to be a good person and he knows the power of God. He knows the difference in walking in the beauty of holiness. It appears that he has allowed worldly pressures to compromise his walk. He preaches a Life Coach messages - itching ear messages to make people feel good and remain comfortable in sin. It saddens me to say this - but Joel’s messages does not compel people to live a holy sold out life for Christ but rather a comfortable “luke warm” life.
