I’m thinking about gettin one of these. It would be my first SP. I’m working on a lo-fi rap project and I love this sound. You’ve made me really consider getting this, because nobody else on TH-cam seems to know how to use this thing. I almost wrote it off until I saw the video.
This and the 505 are my favourite of the sp line. And ive had a fair few different ones in the past. The 202 has the best pitch and deffinatly adds crunch to samples so if thats what your looking for go for it 😉
Thanyou my friend! I generally run all my samples through the 202 first and make the beat on the one but sometimes its fun to just perform on it aswel. I think having the 202 in your setup would be very beneficial but also in saying that your beats do sound very gritty and lofi. I always listen to them and think 🤔 how does he get them to sound so unique and dusty lol 😆 but yeah upto you?! Do u stil have the lofi liven12? I was thinking of getting something new soon
@burrabeats6036 I'm so embarrassed to say that I have never used it🤦🏾♂️🤣I think I got intimidated and didn't want to learn another workflow at the time, and it's on the shelf lol! I am definitely thinking about getting the 202 tho! What I do 90% of the time is go heavy with Cassette or Old Cassette on Air Flavor Pro, or like you.. sample through the SP-404MK2, and throw some Vinyl, 303 Sim, or Cassette real heavy. More and more often now, I gotta have it dusty or gritty, and if it sounds too clean, I 2nd guess myself lol!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
