The Chilli cookoff episode has been my favorite since I was a kid, there was something about it that scared me but I was also fascinated by it. I think it was my first experience with anything surreal
I always thought that the cgi in this episode was claymation. I thought this because when Homer is making his way to the third dimension it started to look a little laggy sorta like a stop motion video made by a 10 year old.
I first saw Homer 3 in IMAX 3D as a kid at the Universal Citywalk in LA. It was part of an animated anthology movie called CyberWorld. I went home telling my friends I saw a Simpsons movie and no one believed me lol
Maybe they made The serfsons because Matt Groenings was making Disenchantment - which I've not seen so I don't know how similar the two are. The serfsons Air date was › 1 October 2017. Matt Groenings Disenchantment (adult animated sitcom) Air date was › August 17, 2018. On Netflix.
very possible... the could have done that specifically as a proof of concept, just using the simpsons characters but Matt Groening had done something similar with Futurama as well
As much as The Springfield Files scared the shit out of me as a child, I still find it hilarious how Dr Nick comes along and is like “nope” to Mr Burns’ offer of famine and hate
dawg the alien one with burns scared the hell out of me when i was younger and was my dads favorite cause of x files swear the x files music.... chills
Homer³ deserves a sequel... It'd be neat to see an adult version of Bart who grew up to be a scientist discovering a way to get his dad home. Yes I know becoming a scientist is Lisa's thing but let's subvert it and make Bart the successful one for a change who actually helps out his dad.
I was in a hotel room a few years ago, tripping balls on some strong acid, decided to watch some TV, Homer3 came on but in my state I didn't realize it was a "Treehouse of Horror" episode and I legitimately thought I was going crazy. Good times.
When the 1995 3D animation for a cartoon show was on par if not better than Toy Story's animations, that's when you know the people making the show fucking cared.
The Japanese episode seems the most trippy in my opinion, the episode makes Godzilla cannon to the Simpsons world. This episode is not a newer one where they have become more silly or a tree house of horror. Godzilla just appears in the Simpsons world. Godzilla is not the only bizarre thing about the episode though so much of it is completely cursed.
As neat of an idea it is, the Backrooms aren’t that original. The idea of stumbling and being trapped within eerie parallel dimensions is as old as fairytales themselves.
Homer 3 is obviously the canon ending to the Simpsons
I swear I saw him irl once
@Mc_childe same and he went into the new store erotic cakes
@@Mc_childe i think you probably just saw an American.
I love how Bart always has Homer’s back

Homer³ needs a sequel where a scientist finds homer and helps him get home
Call it Homer⁴

Really nice job with this video! Just subbed!
Thanks for the sub!

I always felt that the Lego episode of The Simpsons broke so many rules of Lego at the time. Like representing alcohol, or printed noses.
The Mysterious Voyage of Homer also became a bonus level in the LEGO Dimensions video game (if you bought the Homer Level Pack)
I first saw Homer 3 in IMAX 3D as a kid at the Universal Citywalk in LA. It was part of an animated anthology movie called CyberWorld. I went home telling my friends I saw a Simpsons movie and no one believed me lol
Anyone else think that "Brick Like Me" was a surprising and subtle tribute to "The LEGO Movie" both 1 and 2?
Maybe they made The serfsons because
Matt Groenings was making Disenchantment - which I've not seen so I don't know how similar the two are.

I loved the Lego episode. I want more like this
I love how The Surfsense episode in this video is basically a parody of GOT. I say in this video is cuz I'm still on season 1 of The Simpsons
Love this
The trippiest episode, Brick Like Me, was a cash grab for LEGO fans who wanted a Simpsons LEGO set.
8:44 As in 🎵 Burning ring of Fire 🎵 Johnny Cash??? I didn't know!!! No one told me this till I watched this very video!!!
I love all of these episodes and I would add Every Man's Dream to the list of weirdest episodes ;)

The serfsons was a precursor to the show disenchantment.

They have done it again in the game The Simpsons Hit And Run, the curscenes look exactly the same

Homer 3 shouldn’t be on this list because it’s a tree house of horror segment which will be weird since it’s a Halloween special

now we need a “trippiest episode of adventure time” when they used that crazy 3d stuff and the whole episode was crazy and glitchy
