We moved into our current house 10 years ago. There's a olive tree in the front yard, and we've never thought about curing/brining the olives until this year. What a waste! After watching so many videos on TH-cam, I find yours is the most simple & easies way. Will definitely try your method. Thank you for the info!
Hi Isabelle, thank you for sharing this with me! I’m very excited for you to be able to enjoy this olive recipe. Good luck and let me know how it goes!
This is perfect timing! We moved to a place where there are lots of olive trees not far away. I'm waiting for the olives to grow and was looking for the methods to make them edible. And here you are with my answer! Now ... I just need to find the right salt! Thank you Ashley :D
Oh wow! This makes me so happy, you're welcome! Don't let those olives go to waste. I posted an affiliate link for the rock salt in the video description. Feel free to check that out if you need a guide. I also like going to the local world foods market near my house; they've always got great surprises!
@@marcieskenazi9476 Wonderful, good luck! I hope it turns out delicious!! Making a green olive video coming out soon. Of course only my Patrons see my video schedule, but you seem to love olives. Come back December 11 for green olives :)
To confirm, sounds like I leave the olives in the rock salt while they are curing on the counter the whole time? They don't require refrigeration, correct? Thanks
That's right Jenny, just leave them out and it will be no problem. So long as it's not unreasonably hot in the house (like 90+ degrees F). Enjoy the olives!

Ну вы прямо на все руки мастер 👍
Ну, спасибо вам большое! Это очень приятно слышать
This looks amazingly easy! You make them look delicious. Just to confirm I don't drain the olives during the 4 weeks in salt?
Thank you for the compliment! You're correct, you do not drain them while they are being brined in the salt.
@@BecomeInspired I started my olives last night. Thank you for this video.
